Wu Hua sensed her inner thoughts and, finding that she was telling the truth, felt relieved and loosened her grip somewhat.
"The price a human pays for becoming a demon is a hundred times greater than the price a demon pays for possessing a human! That's why Wen Yushu chose the latter!"
Qin Luo thought of the little girl who brewed such delicious tea and felt a pang of regret for it.
"It's very kind!"
"Yes! After sensing Liang Yu's emotional breakdown, she rushed to his house and fed her demon core to Liang Jin. However, this only confined her soul within her body and could not prolong her life. If the ghost messengers who came to collect souls discovered it, it would disrupt the order of the Yin and Yang realms and would likely face certain death..."
Qin Luo felt very uncomfortable upon hearing this. Everyone says that there is a destiny in this world. Could this be the destiny between Wen Yushu and the Liang siblings?
"What was the price it paid for possessing Liang Jin?"
"Crush the demon core to temporarily separate the main body and the demon soul. If the main body is well preserved, it can rebuild itself after a hundred years!"
Qin Luo's hair stood on end upon hearing this: "Crush a demon core? That would hurt so much!"
"Of course it hurts, it's like a human crushing their own heart!"
Qin Luo felt a pang of heartache upon hearing this.
"Can't I just not crush them?"
Wu Hua shook her head: "No, if the demon core is still there, it will constantly pull it back to its original body, and Liang Jin's body will rot!"
"Transformation? Don't monsters all transform?"
Wu Hua sighed.
"Have you forgotten about demon hunters? It's easy for demon hunters to detect when a demon transforms into a human, but they won't be able to detect possession! If I weren't a beast, they wouldn't have noticed either!"
"Now that its original body has been auctioned off, will that affect it?"
"Yes! Its original body has been removed, and it has already become incompatible with Liang Jin's body, making it impossible to continue merging. If humans were to separate its original body, it would be like slowly tearing its soul apart!"
Qin Luo felt increasingly distressed as she listened, so she picked up Wu Hua and ran.
"Then let's hurry up and buy the tickets, and then get Wen Yushu!"
Wu Hua was startled by its sudden behavior and clung tightly to her shoulders.
"Luo Luo, could you please not be so jumpy next time? Even a beast's heart can't take it!"
Qin Luo didn't slow down; she just hugged it even tighter.
"Alright, alright, we need to hurry up and get the tickets. We can't let Liang Yu buy the jade leaf. Otherwise, if Wen Yushu finds out that the person who is repaying his kindness wants to buy his physical body to cure his illness, he'll probably go crazy!"
Upon hearing this, Wu Hua also urged them on.
"We need to hurry. Wen Yushu said that if it finds out which heartless bastard dug out its true form, it will fight to the death to take him down with it! Liang Yu will probably get half-beaten to death for buying a single leaf!"
Upon hearing this, Qin Luo used the movement technique Mu Feng had taught her, and swept towards the market like the wind.
As night falls and the city lights begin to twinkle, the night markets gradually come alive.
Like a flowing ink painting, it slowly unfolds under the gentle caress of the moonlight.
Along the streets, lanterns of all kinds hang high, emitting a soft and warm glow.
When Wu Hua and Qin Luo arrived, the stall owners had already set up their goods, and some people had already come up to inquire about prices.
Wu Hua was drawn by the sweet aroma and looked at Qin Luo with wide eyes.
"Luo Luo, can you smell it? It smells like sweet tofu pudding. Anyway, the ticket sellers haven't come yet, shall we go and have some?"
Qin Luo patted its belly.
"Little one, this isn't a belly, it's a bottomless pit!"
Wu Hua angrily crossed her arms and hugged her chest.
"Hmph! Put me down, I'll go myself!"
Qin Luo had no choice but to carry it and sit down at a tea and snack stall.
We ordered steaming hot tofu pudding and all sorts of pastries. A gentle night breeze blew by, carrying a heavy chill in the air!
The two were eating and chatting when they suddenly heard someone nearby wanting a drink.
"Wangu Auction House, Yushu Auction Tickets, starting price twenty taels, highest bidder wins!"
He had barely finished speaking when he was cursed at bystanders.
"You peddler, why don't you just rob us? The ticket price in this hall was originally only two taels, and you've increased it tenfold!"
The middleman looked down on the person who spoke.
"Hey, Lao Wen, you probably don't know yet, but the tickets for the private rooms have already gone up to several hundred taels. Mine is just a fraction of what they charge. If you can't afford it, then get out of the way and don't block my path to making money!"
Old Wen was speechless after being publicly humiliated by him, and felt he had lost face.
"You probably don't know this, but the auction house owner said that if any unusual items are sent there, the private rooms will be free!"
Qin Luo and Wu Hua, who had originally planned to spend twenty taels, immediately changed their minds upon hearing this.
The two went straight to the person who had spoken, giving him no chance to react.
They pulled him down to sit on the stall, and the peddler saw him being dragged away by the two children.
I didn't argue with him any further and continued drinking the ticket sales.
Old Wen, who had been pulled over to sit down, looked at Qin Luo and Wu Hua with completely bewildered expressions.
"Kids, what are you doing? Have you mistaken me for someone else?"
Qin Luo went straight to the point.
"Take us to the owner of the auction house, and we'll lead you to a private room in the auction house!"
Old Wen simply didn't believe what she said.
"Go play somewhere else, don't let this interfere with my important business!"
Qin Luo saw his raised head and disdainful look, but said nothing.
Instead, she had Wu Hua hold him down while she went to the roadside and found half a blue brick.
Old Wen watched as Qin Luo walked towards him, holding a brick in his hand!
Terrified, she tried to run away, but couldn't pull her hand away from the table.
He could only shout at Qin Luo.
"What are you trying to do? I haven't offended you! Why are you treating me like this!"
The stall owner looked over when he heard the shouts, and was about to ask what was wrong when Wu Hua said, "He's drunk and not thinking straight! Shouting a couple of times will do the trick!"
Upon hearing this, the man shouted at the stall owner, "Don't listen to his nonsense! I haven't been drinking. He's the one who's holding me back and preventing me from leaving!"
The stall owner glanced at Wu Hua, who looked about three years old, then at the burly man, before turning around and going to serve tofu pudding to other tables.
Old Wen wanted to call the stall owner back, but then he saw Qin Luo crush the half-brick into powder right in front of him.
He then sat down, smiling as he looked at Qin Luo and Wu Hua.
"Have you two finished eating? If so, I'll take you to find the auction house's night watchman!"
Qin Luo brushed the brick fragments off his hands and raised an eyebrow at Wu Hua.
"Little one, let's go!"
Wu Hua then took Lao Wen's hand and said, "Let's go!"
Old Wen had been looking for an opportunity to escapeā¦
Seeing that he was standing still, Wu Hua tilted her head to look at him.
"What? Is there something else?"
Old Wen quickly shook his head.
"No, no, come this way!"
It took the three of them half an hour to walk to the side entrance of the Wangu Auction House.
There were four guards on duty at the entrance. Old Wen led Wu Hua forward to inquire.
"Where is the person in charge?"
Then, pointing at Qin Luo, he said, "This young master has a rare treasure that he wishes to have auctioned off by your auction house!"
Qin Luo nodded to the four guards.
"That's right!"
The guards exchanged a glance, and one of them went through the side door to find the manager.
Throughout the entire ordeal, Wu Hua held onto Lao Wen's hand tightly, only letting go the moment the manager appeared...
