Wu Hua patted Chan'er's arm to comfort her.
"It didn't dislike you; it liked you too much and left because it was afraid of bringing you disaster. Do you remember that dry well? When we go back, will you take me to see it?"
"good!"
The two little ones agreed to share their candy.
After Qin Luo revived the person who had fallen, a large crowd gathered around.
They all asked her if she had any water or food, but Qin Luo ignored them all.
Continuing to walk towards the unconscious person, Yue Niang followed.
Seeing that she only fed the person pills and didn't take out a water pouch, I breathed a sigh of relief.
They went forward to help her lift the person who had fallen to the ground.
"You just left a message and ran off, which worried the little one so much that he almost jumped off the donkey cart and ran here!"
Qin Luo was also a little surprised to see her.
"Sister-in-law, didn't I tell you to wait for me at the city gate? Why did you come? Chan'er will definitely be scared!"
"No, I know my daughter. She's very resilient! She's never lost a fight with kids her age!"
Seeing the pride on her face, Qin Luo also started praising her.
"I think Chan'er takes after you, sister-in-law; she's both smart and well-behaved!"
Upon hearing this, Yue Niang was overjoyed, and the two of them continued rescuing people as they made their way towards the city gate.
When Qin Luo passed by Wangu, he pretended to have a stomachache and asked Yue Niang to wait for him.
She ran to the back wall of Wangu and climbed over. Logically, there should have been guards to stop her, but there weren't!
Qin Luo found an empty guest room and filled it with fruits, vegetables, and water.
He shouted as soon as he stepped out the door
"Where is the steward of all ages?"
The servants rushed over at the sound, recognizing her but not daring to recognize her, because she had no children with her.
She then went to find Steward Jin, who bowed to her upon arrival.
"Yuan Jin, the first-class steward of Liyou City, inquires after the young master's well-being!"
Qin Luo raised her hand to gesture for him to stand up, and then asked...
"Uncle Jin, where are the guards? I can't see a single one."
When Manager Jin heard her call him "Uncle," he felt both happy and somewhat uneasy.
"The guards are divided into two groups: one group is stationed at the warehouse, and the other is patrolling day and night. Last night, a group of reckless individuals tried to take advantage of the chaos and some were injured, so there aren't enough guards patrolling today!"
Qin Luo looked at him and the servants, who all seemed to be thirsty to the extreme.
Without asking any more questions, he pointed to the room behind him.
"Uncle Jin, there's food and water that my people brought inside. Please go and distribute it to everyone!"
Upon hearing this, Steward Jin hurriedly led the Second Steward inside to investigate.
Seeing the room full of food and water, the two of them happily spun around.
"Quickly, distribute the supplies, make sure everyone has water and food!"
Only after the servants had all come in to move things did the steward return to Qin Luo's side.
Seeing that he hadn't drunk any water, Qin Luo took a water pouch out of her cloth bag and handed it to him.
"Uncle, please have a sip first!"
Seeing how she treated him, Manager Jin's initial unease disappeared.
After he finished drinking the water, he asked Qin Luo...
"Young Master, where's the young master? Why isn't he with you?"
"It's being looked after, so you can rest assured!"
Then he took out two packets of pills and handed them to Steward Jin.
"Uncle, I have something to attend to and must leave immediately. Please take one packet of these pills and distribute them to the guards. They will heal your injuries after taking them. The other packet is a gift from Zai Zai and me to you. I'll be going now, and we'll meet again!"
Before Manager Jin could stop her, she seemed to remember something and looked at Manager Jin again.
"By the way, Uncle, the drought will improve in a couple of days, so you don't need to worry!"
After saying that, he ran off like the wind, then nimbly leaped over the wall and disappeared from everyone's sight.
Manager Kim sighed as he gazed in the direction she disappeared.
"With such a host family, I have no regrets!"
Immediately afterwards, the second steward spoke.
"Young Master's clansmen are truly amazing! They moved so much stuff in so quietly, and what they brought is like a life-saving elixir!"
Manager Kim nodded in agreement.
"Yes! We must remember this kindness!"
Qin Luo climbed over the wall and went straight to find Yue Niang.
Moon Lady was already quite anxious, but she felt a little relieved when she saw her return.
"You're finally back! If you hadn't come back, I would have gone looking for you!"
Qin Luo apologized to her with a grin.
"I'm sorry I'm late, please forgive me, sister-in-law!"
"I don't need to apologize, I'm just a little worried about you. Let's hurry up and leave! It doesn't look safe here!"
"good!"
The two continued walking towards the city gate, rescuing the unconscious people as they went...
When Wang Yue arrived at the city gate with Wu Hua and Chan'er, there were many people queuing up.
It was all so that I could climb the city walls and catch a glimpse of my family outside.
I hope they discover the anomaly in the city, yet I also fear they might rush into the city recklessly upon discovering it.
Wu Hua jumped off the donkey cart and looked around at the city wall again and again.
Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention, a glimmer of hope appeared in the direction of the city exit.
Immediately, the barrier covering the entire city began to shake, and the people were thrown about by the shock.
Only then did Wu Hua understand the beast's thoughts, and she couldn't help but feel a little sad.
When Qin Luo and Yue Niang arrived, they saw Wang Yue leading a dead horse and donkey-hide gelatin.
Chan'er sat on the donkey cart, while Wu Hua stood by the wall with her head down.
Yue Niang went to Chan'er's side, while Qin Luo quickly ran to Wu Hua's place.
Sensing its sadness, I held it in my arms and asked it...
"What's wrong, baby? Why are you so sad?"
