Upon hearing the command, Ejiao lifted its hooves and galloped wildly out of the city.
Not far from the city gate, they saw the Feng family members, whom Wu Hua had thrown out, rushing back into the city.
Qin Luo took a closer look; the number of people hadn't changed, but they had all lost a lot of weight.
She threw some water and food at the women and children, then left without looking back.
The Feng family members also recognized Qin Luo and Wu Hua, knowing how formidable they were.
There was no struggle or grabbing of what the woman and child were holding.
As if they hadn't seen anything, they continued into the city...
Qin Luo and Wu Hua continued their journey into the desert.
They walked for five or six days without seeing the so-called desert bandits.
Wu Hua was extremely disappointed.
"All those legends are just lies to fool the beasts; the treasure is gone..."
Qin Luo didn't know how to comfort it, after all, she herself was also somewhat disappointed.
They were hoping to make a fortune, but they didn't even see a trace of anyone.
But she didn't want Wu Hua to continue being unhappy, so she could only try different ways to coax her.
"Son, it seems we've been rushing around and searching for bandits the whole time, without really appreciating the scenery of this desert."
Wu Hua was in a bad mood and had no interest in looking at the scenery.
"What's so interesting about this? I don't want to watch it."
"Really? But I really want to see it! After we cross this desert, we'll be going into the mountains again, and it'll probably be a long time before we see it again..."
Wu Hua felt particularly sorry for what she said, and stopped throwing a tantrum.
"Alright then, let's not leave. Let's set up our tents and enjoy the sand scenery."
"Okay, then I'll grill some more meat and vegetables, and call Tengteng and the others out so we can have a bonfire party tonight!"
The plants and animals of this space haven't had a leisurely gathering together in a long time.
Qin Luo was rarely in the mood, so Wu Hua naturally wouldn't object.
It used its advanced space to provide some energy to the seedlings and gave Niu Niu some sugar cane.
Then Qin Luo carried Tengteng and Pineapple out and chose a spot.
They took out the tent and started setting it up, while Pineapple skipped and hopped over to help.
Tengteng cheered them on from the sidelines, while Wuhua brought out blankets and food.
They planned to bring the tents inside once Qin Luo had set them up. Everyone divided the tasks, and things were done very quickly.
In no time, a living room tent was set up.
Wu Hua filled the room with snacks and fruits, and sat on the blanket.
He urged Qin Luo to hurry up and roast the meat, while Qin Luo started a fire outside the tent.
They grilled some venison while eating the snacks Wu Hua fed them.
Pineapple wanted to feed it too, but its little paws were covered in sand.
Since Tengteng was feeding him, he simply gave up.
Qin Luo grilled the meat and gave each of the animals and plants a large piece.
They gazed at the boundless desert, savoring the fragrant roasted venison and sipping icy-cold fruit juice.
Even when the sand is scorching hot under the blazing sun, it still feels cool and pleasant.
The fire continued to burn, and wisps of smoke rose lazily from the horizon.
Suddenly, the rapid, chaotic sound of horses' hooves shattered their joy.
Wu Hua felt the ground tremble and flew towards the distance to investigate.
They discovered a group of robbers dressed in black and with their faces covered by black veils.
Riding camels and horses, galloping from the other side of the horizon.
The rising dust clouds disrupted the original tranquility.
Wu Hua saw that they were not afraid at all; in fact, her eyes sparkled with excitement.
It immediately returned to Qin Luo's side and put Teng Teng and Pineapple into its spatial storage.
Of course, tents and food, including donkey-hide gelatin, were also included.
Only he, Qin Luo, and the bonfire that had attracted the robbers remained.
"Luo Luo, it's here, it's here! Hahaha, the treasure is here!"
Qin Luo could tell what had happened from its actions, but still told it to tone it down.
If they get too excited, the kidnappers will definitely realize they were deliberately captured.
Upon hearing this, Wu Hua immediately lay down in her arms, appearing weak and pitiful.
"Sister, I'm scared..."
Qin Luo: Damn, I give up.
The robbers drew closer, their eyes gleaming with greed and ruthlessness.
The scimitar in his hand reflected a cold gleam in the sunlight.
Like the most dangerous hunter in the desert, sizing up his prey.
The leader of the robbers was a burly man, wearing a black cloak embroidered with intricate patterns.
His gaze was particularly sharp, making Qin Luo's scalp tingle.
The robbers just stared at the two of them without saying a word. Qin Luo felt that if the enemy didn't move, he shouldn't move either.
The atmosphere at the scene became extremely awkward for a moment.
Finally, the neighing of camels and the panting of horses broke the awkward silence.
Then, the low murmurs of the robbers reached Qin Luo and Wu Hua's ears.
"Boss, this trip was a waste of time."
"Yeah, a little kid and an ugly duckling, it doesn't seem like they'd be of any use taking them back."
"Then what should we do? Let them go?"
The robbers chatted amongst themselves, discussing where the two men would go.
Only the leader kept watching the two of them without saying a word.
Without him giving a word, the other robbers dared not act on their own and all waited patiently on the sidelines.
Wu Hua wrinkled her little nose and sniffed around in the direction of the leader.
Qin Luo sensed something was wrong and asked in her mind.
"Little one, have you discovered something?"
This time, Wu Hua stopped wrinkling her nose and started frowning.
"That leader had a beastly scent, but it was very faint, and I couldn't tell what kind of beast it was."
Upon hearing that there were beasts, Qin Luo knew he couldn't stay still any longer; he had to infiltrate the bandits' ranks first.
Fortunately, before she left home, Qin Liang had written several languages in Pingzhao dialect for her.
That's why her speech in Xi Youyu doesn't sound so awkward now.
She looked at the leader and spoke tremblingly.
"Boss, please don't kill me and my brother, we're very useful."
