Looking into his expectant eyes, Qin Luo immediately gave a very affirmative answer.
"Really, but you two have to listen to me. You have to eat whatever I tell you to eat, and don't refuse."
The two thought it was some strange folk remedy, but neither of them was afraid.
"Okay, whatever you say, we'll listen to you."
"Yes, Wangniang is right, we'll listen to you."
Seeing that the two were so polite, Qin Luo was very satisfied.
Tell them to stay where they are and don't move, then go into the kitchen yourself.
He brought out two bowls of water from the spatial stream and handed them to the two of them.
"You two finish this water."
Xiushan Wang and Ashui thought it was a test from her, so without thinking, they picked up their bowls and drank it all in one gulp.
The subsequent feeling of comfort within their bodies made them drowsy.
Before they could even ask, Qin Luo spoke first.
“I added a body-restoring medicine to the water. If you feel drowsy, it means the medicine has taken effect. Go and rest. I will take care of the rest.”
The two kept yawning, but still refused.
“There’s no reason for the guests to do the work while the host goes to rest. Ah Shui and I will finish cleaning up before we go to sleep.”
"Yes, I work very quickly."
Seeing that the two of them could barely keep their eyes open, Qin Luo pushed them further into the house.
"Do you still want children?"
Upon hearing this, Xiushan Wang immediately shut up and pulled Ah Shui into the inner room.
Qin Luo, along with Fanfan and Songsong, cleaned up the dishes and put everything away.
After filling the rice and flour bin, they took out a lot of vegetables, fruits, and meat.
Anyway, it's already winter, so these things can be stored for a long time.
Wu Hua then led out a wild ox and tied it under a persimmon tree.
When Fanfan and Songsong came out and saw this, they were puzzled, but remembering their identities, they didn't dare to ask.
It was only after Qin Luo brought up the mysterious clansman to smooth things over that the matter was finally resolved.
Even as the sun set, Xiushanwang and Ashui still hadn't woken up.
Qin Luo estimated that the two of them wouldn't wake up until tomorrow morning.
I made some food for Fanfan and Songsong and put them to bed.
They took Wu Hua back to their space; the two of them hadn't slept for too long.
I said goodbye to Mao Mao and the other kids, then went back to my bedroom and fell asleep immediately.
The silence of the night was broken by the silvery glow of the moonlight.
Suddenly, Qin Luo was gripped by an unexpected nightmare.
In her dream, she found herself in a dark and deep place.
The air was thick with a strong, pungent smell of sulfur and rust.
No stars were visible in the sky; only the blazing flames illuminated the endless darkness.
The firelight illuminated all sorts of twisted and grotesque faces, and the incessant wails of agony filled the air.
Every sound entered my ears, striking the most vulnerable corners of my heart.
She stepped across the scorching lava, and with each step she seemed to hear...
The faint cracking sounds emanating from the bones throughout my body due to the high temperature.
As far as the eye could see, there was a dense forest of sharp blades, every leaf gleaming with a cold light.
It was as if they were ready to slice her into pieces at any moment. Qin Luo tried to escape.
But she found her legs as heavy as lead, and every step forward consumed a tremendous amount of her strength.
Just as she was in despair, she suddenly heard a shrill laugh.
She looked in the direction of the sound and saw two people dressed in black robes.
The ghostly guards, their faces hidden in the shadows, slowly approached her, chains in hand.
Countless wailing souls were bound to the chains, and no matter how much they struggled, they could not escape their restraints.
The two ghost messengers had empty, cold eyes, as if they could see into the deepest fears and sins of the human heart.
When Qin Luo looked at their faces, a glimmer of hope appeared on her own.
"Big brother, second brother, help..."
Before she could finish speaking, she was interrupted by the ghost messenger's deep voice.
"Come on, Qin Luo, this is the place you deserve."
As soon as she finished speaking, Qin Luo suddenly woke up and found herself still lying in the bedroom in the space.
My pajamas were soaked with sweat, and my heart was pounding like a thunderclap.
The moonlight outside the window was faint; she looked at Wu Hua, who was still fast asleep.
I was extremely relieved that he wasn't in my dream just now.
Wu Hua seemed to sense that she was being watched, and nuzzled her little head closer to her.
"Luo Luo..."
He murmured a call, then fell asleep again.
Qin Luo touched his chubby little face and silently prayed in her heart.
Not only for myself, but also for the suffering souls I saw in my dreams.
She knew that although dreams were illusory, they were formed only because of the thoughts in someone's heart.
If it wasn't something I imagined, then it must be her...
Qin Luo couldn't help but marvel at the terrifying nature of shared karma. Logically speaking, her only connection to her was through Ming Yi.
This tiny, intangible connection allowed her to penetrate the power of space.
Qin Luo felt frustrated at the thought of creating such a nightmare to scare herself.
He couldn't help but feel a little scared and frustrated that he was being unilaterally bound by Ming Yi.
What's frightening is that this resentful spirit, barely six months old, is already so powerful.
If she gets any older, it will be terrible. I really don't know how Mingyi taught her.
Could it be that I talk to her about my life every day? Otherwise, why would she suddenly come to scare me?
It has to be said that Qin Luo guessed correctly; Ming Yi had nothing better to do.
Then she would tell the resentful spirit about how she nurtured Qin Luo using the waters of the River of Oblivion.
She also went on to say that she wasn't as easy to manage as Qin Luo, nor as obedient.
Though the resentment may be small, the vengeful nature is ingrained in their soul.
Although Mingyi taught her to be good every day, how much could a half-year-old vengeful spirit possibly listen to?
And so, that nightmare just happened.
Qin Luo got up, took a shower, changed into clean pajamas, and then went back to sleep holding Wu Hua.
