Chapter 579 I Will Never Lie to You

Upon hearing this, Qin Luo felt a chill run down his spine.

She knew that she absolutely couldn't let the resentment know that she was an outsider, a dreamer, at this moment.

She must be made to believe that the Qin Luo before her is a manifestation of her inner thoughts.

Otherwise, not only would her sweet talk plan fail, but she'd probably be beaten senseless.

Then she changed her usual unreliable style and established a caring and warm older sister persona.

"What brings my sister here?"

After she finished speaking, Ming Zhao was clearly stunned for a moment, obviously unaware that she was dreaming.

"I summoned you? Impossible. If I had summoned you, I would have killed you..."

As she spoke, she casually conjured a sharp blade from her resentment, about to stab it towards Qin Luo's heart.

Qin Luo was so frightened that she was drenched in cold sweat, feeling as if she had fallen into an ice cellar.

Fortunately, she reacted quickly and dodged the blow by turning to the side.

Seeing that his blade missed, Ming Zhao was about to try again when Qin Luo pinched his cheek.

"A girl shouldn't have any manners. Is this how your father taught you?"

Ming Zhao was stunned by her sudden outburst, and immediately rebuked her.

"Take your dirty hands off."

Qin Luo was afraid of really angering her, so he let go of her hand and patted her head.

"These years must have been very tough!"

Ming Zhao couldn't understand why Qin Luo in his dream was like this.

He stared intently at her.

Who exactly are you?

Qin Luo was terrified inside, but her face remained remarkably calm.

"Who am I? Of course I'm your older sister. Look at how dirty you are, it's an eyesore."

As she spoke, she took out a handkerchief and carefully wiped Ming Zhao's face and hands.

No matter how much she said no, Qin Luo seemed not to hear her.

After wiping her clean, I even took out the baby scented lotion that Wu Hua used and applied it to her.

Ming Zhao told her to get out of the way, but he stood motionless in place, letting her do as she pleased.

Qin Luo noticed this as well, and then took advantage of the situation to help her change her clothes and shoes.

These were all made for her by Liu Zheng before, although they were a bit too big.

But seeing the upturned corners of Ming Zhao's mouth, clearly indicating she liked it very much, Qin Luo simply took off her hair bun as well.

“Your little ponytail doesn’t look good. Let me give you a nicer one.”

Ming Zhao made a token show of resistance twice, and then stopped moving.

Qin Luo styled her hair into a double bun, a style often worn by children, with a red ribbon tied into a bow on each side.

Looking at her face, which bore a resemblance to his own, Qin Luo felt as if he were looking at his childhood self.

"It's so beautiful, like it stepped out of a painting."

This was the first time Ming Zhao had been praised, and she asked back somewhat shyly.

"Really? You're not lying to me?"

"Why would I lie to you? You're my little sister, I wouldn't lie to you."

She was unaware that her casual remark had been taken seriously by Ming Zhao.

"Will you never lie to me?"

Qin Luo had no idea that she had taken those words as a promise.

He even made a solemn promise to her.

"Of course, I would never lie to you."

"Then who is more important, me or your pet?"

She suddenly changed the subject, catching Qin Luo completely off guard.

The question that immediately came out was: "What kind of pet?"

Ming Zhao then realized that she was Qin Luo, a figment of his imagination.

It wasn't the real Qin Luo, so naturally there was no Soul Contract Beast.

She smiled and shook her head.

“It’s nothing. Can I take your surname, Qin? I don’t want to be called Ming Zhao. I want to take your surname, Qin, and be called Qin Zhao.”

Qin Luo…

She couldn't help but sigh, realizing that her surname was truly advantageous.

Along the way, countless people have wanted to share the surname Qin with her.

Anyway, one more of her wouldn't make a difference, so I just agreed.

"Of course you can, but that's our secret. Otherwise, how heartbroken Father would be if he knew that neither of his daughters had his surname!"

Seeing that she agreed to his request so readily, Ming Zhao was very happy.

“Alright, from now on this will be our secret. I will never let Father know.”

"good."

At this moment, Qin Luo felt that she wasn't so intimidating after all; her smile seemed harmless.

He doesn't seem like a world-destroying demon at all; he's just a ten-year-old child.

That night, Qin Luo had no time to enter Ming Yi's dream; she was constantly being pulled around and played by Ming Zhao.

If Wu Hua hadn't been so impatient, pulling her soul back into her body...

She probably really has to wait until Ming Zhao voluntarily regains consciousness before she can return.

When Wu Hua saw that she had opened her eyes, she immediately stepped forward and asked...

"How was it? Did you get beaten up?"

Qin Luo smiled and shook her head.

"No, I just played games with the kids all night."

"Playing games?"

"Yes, those are the ones I taught you before: hopscotch, throwing stones, cat's cradle, and so on..."

Wu Hua was intrigued by what she said.

"She's a vengeful spirit who kills without hesitation, yet she still enjoys playing these kinds of games?"

Qin Luo was displeased upon hearing this.

“Don’t say that, little one. She’s just a child. No one has ever taught her these things. All along, Mingyi has only taught her to be good and has never educated her like a normal child.”

As soon as she finished speaking, she heard Wu Hua's sarcastic remark.

"Oh my, it's really different when they're born from the same father. They've only spent one night together, and he's already starting to be overprotective of his own."

Qin Luo sensed the jealousy in his words and quickly covered her nose.

"What a strong sour smell! Who spilled the vinegar jar? Could it be our little one?"

Upon hearing this, Wu Hua turned her head away haughtily.

"Hmph, I didn't."

Qin Luo got up, picked him up, and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek.
