Chapter 642 The Shennong Clan

After running at full speed for about fifteen minutes, the donkey-hide gelatin arrived at a city called Yanlu City.

But this city looked rather strange; there wasn't a single soldier guarding the city gates.

As soon as the two approached, the city gate opened automatically, as if it knew they were coming.

Qin Luo was still somewhat worried and considering whether to go in, but Wu Hua had already kicked Ejiao in the butt.

By the time Qin Luo realized what was happening, the two of them and the donkey had already appeared inside the city.

This city may not have much else, but it has the most food. Perhaps it's because the land is fertile, but every household looks extremely wealthy.

Ever since entering the city, Wu Hua had a wicked smile on her face, as if she had discovered some huge secret.

No matter how much Qin Luo pressed him, he wouldn't say, so Qin Luo had no choice but to give up and wait for the mystery to be revealed on its own.

After entering the city, the two went straight to the largest restaurant and ordered everything on the menu.

He instructed the shopkeeper to make ten portions of each item, and told him to come back for them later. After saying this, he threw down the silver and ran off, afraid of wasting even a moment.

Wu Hua even suggested calling Tengteng out as well, so the three of them could split up and act faster.

Qin Luo was worried about the two little ones running around, fearing it would be even more troublesome if they were watched, so she decisively refused.

Wu Hua had no choice but to be carried from shop to shop by her.

Wu Hua remained quiet throughout, until she entered a candy shop. Upon seeing the shopkeeper...

His eyes lit up instantly, like searchlights.

"It's you, isn't it? It must be you. I never thought the Heavenly Dao would secretly cheat."

The shopkeeper just smiled upon hearing this.

"Young friend, you can't speak carelessly. Heaven has only taken us homeless people in out of kindness. How can that be considered cheating?"

After giving an "oh," Wu Hua squinted at the person with a sly look.

"The things beneath Pingru City, are they yours? I suppose they're not just there; there are probably many other places in the human realm where your clan's treasures are found, aren't they?"

The shopkeeper remained silent, only nodding slightly. Then, he pointed upwards, as if to say:

"Just keep it in your heart, there's no need to say it out loud, he can hear it."

Wu Hua understood what he meant, so she didn't press the matter further, only saying that she had come to buy food.

The shopkeeper was generous; he immediately instructed the waiter to wrap up everything the man liked.

Wu Hua really didn't hold back, packing everything edible into her spatial storage, leaving not even a single piece of candy behind.

As he was leaving, he clung to the shopkeeper's sleeve, refusing to let go. Seeing this, the shopkeeper quickly slapped him away.

"Don't push your luck. We've already emptied the store, what more do you want?"

Wu Hua, however, remained shameless.

"I want some seeds, just a little bit."

The shopkeeper was completely helpless against him. Although he belonged to the Shennong clan, he was no match for the beast in terms of strength and could only nod in resignation.

"Okay, I'll take you to the grain shop, you can choose for yourself."

Upon hearing this, Wu Hua immediately released his sleeve, but instead firmly grasped his hand.

"I've heard my grandfather, the clan chief, say since I was little that the Shennong clan is kind-hearted and loves to help others. He really didn't lie to me."

The shopkeeper could easily detect the blatant flattery, but at least he had hit the mark.

"That's true, that's indeed the case for our clan."

Then, the three of them walked towards the grain seed shop not far away.

Before I even got close, a woman who looked to be in her thirties came out to meet me.

She was taken aback when she saw Wu Hua, then pulled him into her arms.

"Is your clan leader still in good health?"

Although Wu Hua didn't know her identity in the Shennong clan, she figured that anyone familiar with her clan leader must be at least his great-grandmother's generation.

He thought this in his heart, but he called out to people in a very youthful voice.

"Sister, do you know our clan leader?"

Shennong Kunfu laughed so hard he almost fell over upon hearing this.

"Sister? Hahaha, how come you have such a sweet tongue? Did you eat all the candy from the second brother's house?"

Upon hearing this, the shopkeeper shrugged.

"Of course they finished it all! They didn't leave me a single one..."

Shennong Kunfu laughed even louder after hearing this.

"Haha, my old friend's son, you've finished eating, so just make some more."

The shopkeeper remained silent, only looking on with anticipation to see a good show.

Then, Shennong Kunfu turned his attention to Qin Luo.

“This young friend has a deep connection with our Shennong clan. Judging from his appearance, he is a master at farming.”

Qin Luo…

For a moment she didn't know whether it was a compliment or sarcasm, but she still politely bowed to the woman.

"Greetings, sister. My name is Qin Luo. I am a wood-type ability user, and farming is my forte."

Hearing someone call her "sister" in public again makes a woman feel embarrassed.

"Let's go inside the shop and talk..."

"Okay, I'll listen to my sister..."

Before she could finish speaking, Shennong Kunfu noticed that her clansmen were gathering around her.

He immediately picked up Wu Hua and rushed into the shop, as if afraid that others would hear him call her "sister."

"What's wrong, sister? Why are you running so fast? The shop isn't far..."

Wu Hua, held in her arms, seemed to be doing it intentionally, calling out "Sister!" louder and louder with each breath.

Shennong Kunfu had no choice but to cover his mouth.

"According to seniority, you should call me Grandmother. Calling me 'elder sister' or 'elder sister' would make the outsiders laugh their heads off."

Sure enough, as soon as the group entered the shop, bursts of laughter echoed from outside.

"Hahaha, our ancestor is still so young! The little one calls us 'sister' right away, hahaha~"

"That's right! Our ancestor looks to be only in her early thirties. Calling her 'sister' wouldn't be an exaggeration, hahaha~"
