When Pidan heard her praise him, his little head immediately stood up high.
"That's right, hahaha, I'm better than my brother, aren't I!"
After he finished speaking, before Qin Luo could even open his mouth, Wu Hua grabbed his little ear.
"You dare say that to my face? Don't you deserve a beating?"
"No, no, no, brother, I was just joking."
Then, Pidan broke free from Wu Hua's grasp and ran away, with Wu Hua chasing after him.
Qin Luo ate her pastries while watching the two of them with a smile.
The Hou Jiang, witnessing this scene, felt a mix of emotions and quietly left.
When Pidan and Wuhua returned and didn't see him, they asked him about it.
"Luo Luo, where is the Domain Lord?"
"Yes, elder sister, why did the domain lord suddenly leave?"
Qin Luo turned around but didn't see the beast, so he started making things up.
"Perhaps he saw how much I enjoyed the food and hurried back to try it too. Don't worry about him, you should all come and have a taste as well."
"good."
As soon as she finished speaking, the preserved egg started eating without a care in the world, but Wu Hua sensed something was wrong.
Just as she was about to ask, Qin Luo stuffed a piece of pastry into her hand.
"Don't talk while eating, you'll choke."
Wu Hua understood and started eating along with her.
"You should eat less of the preserved egg; Tengteng and Maomao haven't eaten yet!"
"I know, I already saved some for them."
Seeing the two enjoying their meal, Qin Luo was also pleased. After finishing the pastries in her hand, she...
So he went back to work in the field, but as soon as he squatted down, Pidan ran over.
"Sister, you don't need to work anymore. Take more rest, otherwise your back and legs will hurt. I'll do these chores."
Upon hearing this, Qin Luo realized that he had been seen massaging her lower back and legs.
"I know that Pidan is very capable and can finish things with a wave of his hand, but I can't do nothing either, otherwise my old arms and legs will deteriorate."
Preserved Egg, however, remained steadfast in his opinion.
"But there's so much work to do in the fields. How about this, I'll set up a flower garden in front of the hut, and you can plant flowers whenever you have free time?"
Upon hearing this, Qin Luo immediately refused.
“I’ve drunk so much of your brother’s spatial stream water, so this little bit of work is nothing to me. Don’t worry about it. A child should act like a child, don’t always act like an old man and worry about things for no reason.”
Since she had said that, Pidan had no choice but to compromise.
"Alright, then I'll spend every day with you from now on."
"Okay, okay..."
Seeing that she had agreed, Pidan worked even harder.
When Wu Hua overheard their conversation, he realized how negligent he had been.
Qin Luo is now old enough to be a grandmother, no matter how well the spatial stream nourishes her.
She's not the same person she was in her teenage years, yet I've been treating her the same way I always did.
Even after I last saw the wrinkles on her face, nothing had changed.
Seeing his displeasure, Qin Luo assumed that he was troubled by the matter of the preserved egg.
He then stepped forward and offered a few words of comfort.
"Son, you can't judge the quality of things just by hearing about them from others. You have to experience it for yourself. After spending so much time together, what do you think?"
Wu Hua understood the meaning behind her words. Looking at Pi Dan, who was working hard with his rear end sticking out in the distance, she smiled knowingly.
"It is good, just like when we met Xiaoyu and Jingming."
Qin Luo hadn't expected that he would have such a high opinion of preserved eggs.
"If that's how you feel, then don't worry anymore. Just let things be as they were in the past, and there's no need to change anything."
Wu Hua was completely bewildered by what she said.
"What's the meaning?"
Qin Luo was taken aback by his question.
"Didn't you guess the Domain Lord's intentions, which is why you're worried about Pidan?"
No, I just think you've gotten older...
After he finished speaking, he was questioned by Qin Luo: "Really? And then?"
Upon hearing this, Wu Hua realized she had said the wrong thing, so she quickly tried to defend herself.
"Luo Luo, that's not what I meant. I didn't mean you have a lot of wrinkles, it's just..."
"What do you mean? Explain yourself clearly."
"Oh dear, what I mean is you're getting old, but I..."
Before he could finish speaking, he heard Qin Luo roar.
"But what about you? You're still young, aren't you?"
"No, no, oh dear, Luo Luo, let me explain..."
"Explain your big head, you brat, take this!"
As Qin Luo spoke, she snapped off a tree branch and swung it at him.
Wu Hua could only run away while trying to defend herself.
Pidan looked over at the sound and saw Wuhua covering her bottom and running around in all directions.
Qin Luo, wielding a branch, gritted her teeth and lashed out at him.
With each flick of the brush, Wu Hua would shout, scaring him so much that he dared not approach, only daring to peek from behind the plants.
"I never expected that my sister, at her age, would still be so fierce when she fights."
Mao Mao, who had brought Tengteng back, immediately laughed upon hearing this.
"Of course. Although my eldest sister is older, she is still very agile. Look at how clean and neat she swings the branch."
Seeing this, Tengteng also chimed in.
"Absolutely. With Luo Luo's agility, people would believe she's in her early twenties."
As soon as she finished speaking, Mao Mao and Pi Dan both looked at her, as if to say, "That's an exaggeration! My dear sister..."
Tengteng, however, did not feel anything at all.
"What? You all think Luo Luo is getting old too?"
Upon hearing this, the two shook their hands rapidly.
"No, no, in my heart the eldest brother will always be eighteen."
"Yes, yes, yes, my sister looks no more than eighteen."
Tengteng looked disgusted by their flattery.
"You two can talk a lot more nonsense than I can."
