Chapter 104 The old woman took the bait!

The reason Yang Juhua wanted to inform the main branch of the family was not because she had suddenly changed her nature and become better.

Instead, the couple from the third branch of the family absolutely refused to separate their household and kept nagging in their mother-in-law Wang's ear.

Originally, Wang had been thinking of separating the second branch of the family as well, but after Yu Sanzhu and his wife stirred things up, she immediately changed her mind and even threatened, "Want to separate the family? Not now!"

The eldest son's family has just separated from the main branch and their ties have been severed. If the second son's family separates as well, who knows what the villagers for miles around will think of our Yu family!

They spoke so grandly, but Yang Juhua knew perfectly well that the third couple were just afraid that no one would do the housework in the future!

Today, Yang Juhua happened to see Yu Sanzhu sneaking home with a fish basket, and she immediately became suspicious.

Upon closer listening, Yu Sanzhu was muttering to himself, "You little rascal, you never dreamed I'd take your fish basket!"

Her eyes lit up, and a clever idea struck her. She secretly ran to the old house and told her two nephews about it.

She figured to herself that if she couldn't handle the three wives and their spouses, someone else would be able to deal with them.

Yang Juhua saw Li Hehua sitting on the ground throwing a tantrum, a smile on her face, and walked over to her and said, "Third sister-in-law, what's wrong with you?"

It's really inappropriate for such a big person to be sitting on the ground!

You'd better get up!

The villagers are all watching!

Li Hehua glared at Yang Juhua, thinking to herself that this woman must be an idiot, knowing full well that she was acting here, yet still deliberately asking questions.

Then she started shouting in a fake tone, "Second sister-in-law, you don't know, Sanzhu caught some fish and shrimp, and these two little beasts insist that they are theirs."

"Third brother, your wife says you caught the fish in this basket, is that true?"

Yang Juhua turned around and asked Yu Sanzhu, whose face was bruised and swollen.

"Of course... of course it's true."

Second sister-in-law, why do you ask that?

Yu Sanzhu glanced guiltily at his two nephews beside him and forced himself to speak.

"Second son's wife, are you out of your mind?"

The third brother went out to catch fish and came back exhausted, and you still ask him that? If you can't speak properly, then get out of here.

Wang pushed her second son's wife aside and started cursing.

"Mom, why did you push me?"

Ping An and Cheng Yuan said that the fish basket belonged to them.

That's why I asked my third brother and sister-in-law, just to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings!

When do you think my third brother has ever taken the initiative to catch fish?

That's why I asked one more question out of curiosity.

Yang Juhua looked aggrieved, and her eyes were red.

Yu Chengyuan looked over and thought to himself that Yang Juhua's acting skills were truly undeniable.

"Mother, Chrysanthemum just asked casually and didn't say anything else. Please don't misunderstand her."

Seeing his mother treat his wife this way, Yu Erzhu's face showed some displeasure, and his brows furrowed.

"Mother, I noticed you've been in a bad mood these past few days, so I thought I'd try my luck and see if I could catch a big fish to help you recover."

My son was surprisingly lucky; he caught two snakehead fish and a soft-shelled turtle!

"But... Ping An snatched it away."

I wanted to save it to help you recover, but they insisted it was theirs.

They came to our door and tried to rob us; they even beat my wife and me.

Folks, you be the judge, aren't these two being far too domineering?

While complaining to his mother, Yu Sanzhu also launched into a tirade against the villagers, his expression utterly pitiful.

Upon hearing that her third son had caught her a large turtle, which had then been snatched away by those two little beasts, Wang immediately flew into a rage and shouted, "You two little beasts, hurry up and give the fish basket back!"

Don't think that severing ties with your family means you can do whatever you want.

"You dare to try and take advantage of me? Have you got some nerve?"

Wang stood with her hands on her hips, spitting as she cursed.

After cursing for a while, it bared its teeth and claws and came up to snatch the fish basket.

Yu Pingan dodged to the side, and Wang Shi missed her target. If someone hadn't caught her, she would have definitely fallen flat on her face.

Yu Chengyuan gave a cold laugh and said sarcastically, "Grandma Wang, what's wrong with me coming to get my own things back?"

Why does it become robbery in your mouths?

You're here crying wolf, and you still have the nerve to say that!

"You're talking nonsense. This fish basket clearly belongs to our family, and the things inside were caught by my third son."

How did it become yours? You're lying through your teeth.

The villagers are all watching!

"It was clearly you two brothers who came to our house to steal our things."

Wang completely believed her third son's words, acting as if she would fight anyone who dared to contradict her.

The villagers looked at each other, unsure of who was right and who was wrong, but most people still sided with the Yu brothers.

“Mother, since Ping’an and the others say that the fish basket belongs to their family, why don’t you just ask them what evidence they have?”

They can't provide evidence that the fish basket doesn't belong to them.

The turtles and other creatures inside weren't caught by them; they were caught by the third brother.

Yang Juhua leaned closer to Wang Shi and whispered.

She dared to say that because she discovered that Yu Dazhu would carve his name on all the baskets and hampers he wove.

The third son and his wife don't usually do much work, so they wouldn't notice this.

"Yes, you two little beasts, what proof do you have that this fish basket belongs to your family?"

Wang felt that her second son's daughter-in-law was right this time.
