Chapter 86 Notice

The tax office manager, Ma, looked bewildered at the empty office building.

His eyes were full of anxiety as he found the old servant who was sweeping the floor.

Why is nobody here?

"Yes, the magistrate is taking leave today. I heard that he had been drinking with someone last night and has a splitting headache. He specially sent someone to ask the county magistrate for a day off."

"Damn it! Fuck!"

He kicked a rock hard on the ground.

The old servant was stunned. Why was he suddenly cursing?

"That bastard ruined my life!"

I knew that drinking would lead to trouble!

The displeasure and tension in my heart grew stronger.

Not only my left eye, but my right eye was also twitching wildly.

Could something terrible have happened?

The tax office was making a racket!

Manager Ma was restless and went outside.

"Put it here, and the Tax Bureau can't be left out either!"

With an angry expression, Steward Ma shouted, "This is a tax office, a place where you commoners can post and scribble all sorts of things! Leave at once!"

His expression suddenly changed, and he shouted, "How many of these notices have you posted?"

The scholar smiled calmly, stroking his chin, and said, "Yesterday there were only bustling streets, restaurants, and bookstores. Now, I guess everywhere except the county government office is crowded with them!"

Rumble!

Even though it was daytime, it suddenly felt like there was thunder in the sky.

He snatched it away!

Tear it to shreds!

He stomped heavily on it and ground it with force.

With a ferocious expression, he muttered, "I'll teach you to stick it on, I'll teach you... to stick it on."

The scholar was speechless.

Damn it, is there something wrong with this guy?

He then pulled out a stack of papers from his pocket.

Suddenly, Manager Ma snatched the entire paper away like a vicious dog pouncing on its prey, then, like a wild dog that had just grabbed a bone, he stuffed it into his coat and ran away with all his might…

A flash of inspiration struck me.

I can't die!

I spent countless sums of money bribing officials to secure this position.

There's still hope for me!

Who should I look for?!

Suddenly he rushed towards the county government office!
