At noon, we cooked all the offal from a pig, including pig's blood. Working in the fields is physically demanding, so we had a big appetite. Plus, there were quite a few people at home, so we finished everything.
As soon as the food was ready, Xingxing rushed off to deliver it, worried that her parents and brothers would go hungry. Zhulin, naturally, followed along, worried that they would be hungry. They originally wanted to use a horse-drawn carriage, but the country roads were not wide enough for a carriage.
Zhou Fagen and Zhang Facai volunteered to help deliver the food. They each carried a basket and led the way, with Xingxing and Zhu Lin following behind.
When they arrived at the fields, Zhou Laoda and the others were still busy. Although the weather had turned cool in late autumn, the workers were still covered in sweat.
"Daddy, Mommy, dinner's ready! Come and eat first, we have some good stuff! We hunted a wild boar!" Xingxing's little voice was very melodious, as if she had hunted the wild boar herself.
When they heard that there was wild boar, the brothers were all happy. Although there was meat in the meals during the busy farming season, nothing beats the joy of hunting wild boar and eating to their heart's content.
"Who shot it? How big was it?" Zhou Erfu's focus was a little different from others.
"The eldest and fifth senior brothers each killed one, and then they carried it back to bleed and slaughter the pig. They were so amazing." Xingxing replied while bending down to get a bowl to serve rice to everyone.

There was cooked rice, a clay pot of meat soup made with pig's head, stir-fried large intestine, stir-fried pig's kidney, pig's liver and pig's lung, and braised pig's stomach and pig's heart, all with seasonings. Zhao Guihua tasted a bite and found it to be very delicious.
"I just tasted the dishes my second senior sister made, and they were delicious," Xingxing explained with a smile.
"Have you eaten yet?" Zhao Guihua asked casually.
Zhu Lin remained calm but didn't speak, while Xingxing honestly said, "No, but I just had a bowl of meat soup, so I'm not hungry yet. We'll go back and eat after you finish eating."
Zhou Fagen and Zhang Facai also said they weren't hungry and told Zhou Laoda and the others to eat quickly and not to worry about the person who brought the food.

The Zhou family, along with several helpers, made up a total of fifteen people. They finished all four baskets of food. Feeling quite full, they sat down in the shade to rest.
Xingxing, holding Zhu Lin's hand, followed Zhou Fagen and Zhang Facai back first.
Because there were many people, the process was quite fast. Half of the work was done in one morning, and with another busy afternoon, it would be finished.
As the sun set, the village chief led the men of the village to help carry the rice home. Every household in the village received wild boar meat. Everyone was happy to help, and even Zhou Laosi came.
Zhao Guihua felt uneasy whenever she saw the people at the old house, but since Zhou Laosi wasn't causing any trouble, she couldn't very well kick him out. Several of the Fu brothers kept a close eye on Zhou Laosi.

Although he and his third brother had done a lot of foolish things in the past, and although their personalities hadn't changed much, they had become much more restrained on the surface because the villagers ignored them, and they couldn't take advantage of them even if they wanted to.
After the eldest brother's family left Yegou Village, they wanted to go to the eldest brother's house to get something. Immediately, someone went to report them to the village chief. The village chief immediately came with his men to stop them and even gave them a good scolding.
Zhou Laosan and Zhou Laosi went to the town's dock to cause trouble for Zhou Laoer several times, but Zhou Laoer and Chen Caocao were different from before. If they dared to cause trouble, the couple would grab kitchen knives and fight them to the death. After several such incidents, Zhou Laosan and Zhou Laosi didn't get any benefits.

Old Man Zhou and Old Woman Zhou could only cause trouble in front of their eldest son. After their eldest son left, the old couple fell silent. They didn't dare to go and cause trouble for their second son with their two younger sons, for fear that Chen Caocao would embarrass them in front of everyone. What about their reputation?
The two old people were muddle-headed, but not entirely brainless. Although they didn't care about Zhou Dafa's life or death, he was still their grandson. Zhou Laoda was tired after a long day and didn't feel like inviting anyone to stay for a meal. Besides, everyone had received pork, so there was no need for his family to stay for a meal.
Dinner was still prepared by Zhu Changge and Zhu Qingruo. The senior brothers sat in the courtyard as steady as Mount Tai. They did not help carry the rice, as they were not used to doing this kind of farm work. The villagers of Yegou Village were very hospitable to them because they gave them wild boar meat.
During the day, they all came to express their gratitude. Of course, expressing their gratitude was one thing, but they also wanted to see the faces of these distinguished guests.
