Chapter 208 Poisoned her to make her mute

The little girl chattered incessantly as she walked, pulling Zhu Lin toward the village chief's house. Qiu Qiu, Chun Chun, and Dong Sheng were all her good friends, and she wanted Zhu Lin to meet them.

The two hadn't gone far when they saw a carriage approaching. Xingxing glanced at it but didn't intend to pay any more attention to it, and Zhu Lin also just glanced at it casually before looking away.

"Zhou Xingxing, you're back!" Perhaps because Xingxing didn't respond, Song Jiao's voice grew louder. "Zhou Linglong, I'm calling you, didn't you hear me? Why aren't you acknowledging me? That's so rude."

She couldn't pretend she hadn't seen it anymore. Xingxing frowned and turned around. "Song Jiao, what are you doing in Yegou Village again?"

"I've come to see Brother Qingfeng. He might be leaving soon," Song Jiao said, peeking out from behind the carriage curtain.

"What does this have to do with me?" Xingxing said bluntly.

Song Jiao was taken aback. She had noticed the white-clad boy next to Xingxing earlier, and was quite amazed when she saw his face. This person was even more handsome than Brother Qingfeng, and his noble and elegant demeanor was innate. He was in no way inferior to her Brother Qingfeng. How could Zhou Xingxing know such a person?

"Zhou Xingxing, who is this person next to you? Where did you meet him?" Song Jiao didn't dare to ask Zhu Lin directly, so she avoided the boy's gaze and asked Xingxing instead.

Xingxing pouted, "Why should I tell you? What's it to you?"

"What's it to you?" Song Jiao was furious. She wanted to lash out, but the boy's cold gaze made her hold back. She murmured in a low voice, "Uncle Zheng will be here later."

The "Uncle Zheng" that Song Jiao mentioned was naturally Zheng Qingshu. This little girl wanted to use Zheng Qingshu's identity to put pressure on him, but Xingxing didn't seem to get her true meaning, while Zhu Lin didn't take it seriously at all.

"Do you have anything else? If not, we're leaving. We have things to do." Xingxing didn't want to argue with Song Jiao. The two of them were incompatible; they would fight as soon as they met, which was really boring.

Before Song Jiao could say anything more, Zhu Lin scooped up Xingxing and vanished in the blink of an eye, leaving no trace of their presence. Song Jiao rubbed her eyes hard, hardly believing what she was seeing.

"What the hell? What speed? He's running way too fast! That young master is inhuman. How can a normal person run that fast?" Song Jiao complained with a tense expression.

Xingxing and Zhu Lin quickly arrived at the village chief's house. Xingxing clapped her hands and said happily, "Brother Lin is so amazing! As long as we run fast, we won't have to see those annoying people anymore."

"You really dislike that person?" Zhu Lin asked casually.

Xingxing glanced at the boy's expression and said carefully, "Sometimes, she's not so annoying when she's not talking, but she's not likable when she does talk. I don't like talking to her."

"Then poison her to make her mute." The boy seemed genuinely intending to do so.

Xingxing was a little dumbfounded. There was no need to do this. "No, it's not good to harm people like this. She hasn't done anything immoral. She just can't speak. It's not like she's been poisoned to the point of being mute. It's really not like that."

“Song Jiao isn’t that bad. It would be good if she stopped talking to me all the time. But she just said that Tie Qingfeng is leaving Yegou Village. If Tie Qingfeng really leaves, Song Jiao definitely won’t come back to Yegou Village. She doesn’t like Yegou Village at all. She just wanted to see Tie Qingfeng.”

"Who is Tie Qingfeng?" the young man asked calmly.

"A young master who is quite poisoned, about the same age as Brother Fu and the others. I heard that his father is a high-ranking official in the capital, and his uncle is the magistrate of Lishan County. His family has many guards," Xingxing muttered as she explained.

After she finished speaking, she gestured for the boy to raise his hand and knock on the door.
