As we left the village, we encountered a small group of refugees at the village entrance. There were about ten of them, each carrying a knife. Even in the dark night, we could feel their menacing and ferocious nature.
"Where did this carriage come from? There are wealthy families staying in this dilapidated village. Why are they leaving in the middle of the night?" The leader of the refugees was very puzzled, but his intelligence only lasted for three seconds before he spat out a "pui" (a vulgar expression).
"Who cares who they are, let's do it! So many carriages must have a lot of good stuff, or at the very least, we can eat horse meat. Call all those idiots over and surround them."
Although there were more than a dozen of them, they knew they couldn't easily take down so many carriages, especially since the other side had guards. However, it was freezing cold and dark at night, and if they could just call over the group of refugees, they could easily tear this group apart and devour them.
However, the little leader had a beautiful dream, but in reality, as soon as he finished speaking, a hidden weapon flew from somewhere and hit him in the forehead. The little leader fell straight down without even groaning.
The other dozen or so people met the same fate and were dealt with in a matter of moments.
"A mob, they don't even know what they are, just maggots born from the rot of humanity in this chaotic world." Zhu Qiuyu sneered.
Zhou Sanfu heard Zhu Qiuyu's words clearly and couldn't help but give her a thumbs up. She was sharp-tongued and incisive, which he liked.
Zhu Lin and his group, along with Tie Qingfeng and his group, soon arrived at the wasteland outside the village. There wasn't even a low shrub in the area, so they only needed to watch out for cracks in the ground.
In the village, the village chief's two sons, along with several able-bodied men, went from house to house, telling everyone to quickly take all their valuables, as well as blankets and clothes, so they wouldn't freeze to death outside.
"I just asked, there's still time, but we have to hurry. If we dawdle any longer, we'll be dead. Don't even bother with the heavy things like the grain; we can come back and dig them up later. Let's save our lives first." The village chief's son shouted all night until his voice was hoarse.
Half an hour later, the village chief, holding a gong, banged it and shouted, "Everyone, follow me quickly, don't take too much stuff, save your lives first."
As the villagers slowly made their way to the village entrance, they felt the ground shaking and suddenly became dizzy.
"Boom!" Soon, the houses in the village collapsed one after another, the women cried out in pain, and the children cried out in fright.
A large group of refugees in the distance, upon discovering the earth dragon had turned over, were not afraid but excited. They grabbed wooden sticks and rushed toward the village, clearly intending to take advantage of the chaos to loot.
The refugees hadn't expected that everyone in the village would come out and flock to the village entrance. This made things even better; they could just start looting.
