Eiko Yokoyama held a dagger to Zhong Daya's neck, while Keiya Nishi held a sword in a defensive stance, staring at everyone warily.
"What, what's going on? Madam Heng, why are you arresting me? Let's talk this out!" Zhong Daya was still confused. She had been chatting happily with Madam Heng when suddenly Madam Heng rushed out, pinned her down, and held a knife to her.
Xingxing sighed helplessly, "Auntie, don't say anything. Madam Heng and Miss Heng are Japanese. They deliberately approached you for a reason. They are not good people."
"Huh?" Zhong Daya opened her mouth wide, looking incredulous. She had long heard that the Japanese were very vicious, but what did she have that attracted two female Japanese pirates to deliberately approach her?
Gui Guxi seemed to see Zhong Daya's confusion and sneered, "Don't overthink it. My daughter and I aren't after you, we're after her." As she spoke, she pointed to the stars.
“But Xingxing isn’t around me. What does your going to restaurants every day have to do with being near Xingxing?” Zhong Daya felt that there was really no suspicious connection between the two.
Gui Guxi smiled wryly. Hadn't she and Yingzi forgotten about the important matter? They were only concerned with eating, drinking, and enjoying themselves, completely forgetting the task their eldest daughter had assigned them. They hadn't done anything of importance.
"Alright, stop talking nonsense." Yokoyama Eiko listened to her mother still explaining nonsense to someone, and her eyes flashed with impatience. She increased the pressure on her hand, and the blade cut through Zhong Daya's neck, causing blood to seep out.
"Tell them to let go, we'll switch. If you don't want her to die, release my sister." Although Yokoyama Eiko, like her mother, enjoys life, she's not brainless and can stand firm in crucial moments.
Moreover, she was quite skilled in martial arts. When she returned, she sensed something was amiss at the door. It seemed as if the entire shop and backyard were surrounded. Although she couldn't pinpoint the location of those people, her intuition told her that they were highly skilled and she couldn't possibly handle them.
So when she saw Zhong Daya standing at the shop entrance talking to her mother, she quickly stepped forward and subdued her. Gui Guxi immediately knew something was wrong.
Although she seemed to have a good relationship with Zhong Daya, she always knew who Zhong Daya was related to and who they were targeting.
"She attracted the government officials, and my sister might be in trouble." After saying this, Yokoyama Eiko and her mother tacitly escorted Zhong Daya to the backyard.
The mother and daughter were very cunning. They stood in a position where the wall blocked their view, making it impossible for the guards to find an opportunity to attack from behind.
"You carry her over here... Mother, you go and bring my sister over." After threatening Hoshino and the others, Yokoyama Eiko instructed Keiya Nishi to cooperate.
Xingxing was worried about Zhong Daya and couldn't risk her life, so she had to compromise and let the guards carry the person to the other party.
To everyone's surprise, Keiya Nishi, who looked petite and slender, was actually a trained fighter with great strength, carrying Yokoyama Chiyo with little effort.
"I've handed the person over to you, now release my aunt!" Xingxing shouted.
Zhu Lin held a hidden weapon in his hand, ready to find an opportunity to hit his opponent.
Suddenly, a plume of black smoke enveloped the three people opposite them with a 'bang'.
At the same time, Zhong Daya was pushed and fell to the ground with a cry of "Ouch".
Zhu Lin grabbed the person and looked back at the original spot, but Gui Gu Xi and her daughter had already disappeared with Yokoyama.
It's ninjutsu again!
The guards had already given chase. Xingxing and the other two helped Zhong Daya back first. Government officials had already come to search the rouge shop and sealed it off.
Supported by Xingxing and Ruru, Zhong Daya walked back shakily, her teeth chattering. "Madam Heng is a Japanese, a pirate? I've known her for over a year and I never realized she knew kung fu. How could I be so stupid?"
"It's not your fault, don't overthink it. It's good that you're alright, there's nothing to blame yourself for," Xingxing comforted her.
"Be more careful in the future, and don't trust people too easily," Chen Yueru advised earnestly.
"Why did I have to come see her? What's there to worry about? I was just being nosy, meddling in other people's business and worrying about what might happen to them. In the end, I almost got beaten up myself." Zhong Daya stamped her feet, regretting her decision.
Seeing his wife return in tears, Li Quan didn't bother to greet the guests anymore. He told his two sons-in-law to watch the main hall while he went to the backyard.
"What happened? Weren't we going to see Madam Heng? Has something really happened to Madam Heng?" Li Quan asked, looking completely bewildered.
Zhong Daya sobbed and covered her face, crying out, "What Madam Heng? She's just a Japanese pirate! We're blind! We almost died at the hands of that female pirate today!"
"What did you say? Madam Heng is a Japanese pirate and wants to kill you?" Li Quan's pupils shrank, and he suddenly broke out in a cold sweat.
Xingxing explained the situation to Li Quan in a simple way. Seeing how frightened he was, she couldn't help but offer some words of comfort, "...Now the Yokoyama mother and her two daughters have escaped using Japanese ninjutsu. I don't know if the secret guards can catch them. Don't worry, they won't dare to come back."
“Since the rouge shop opened, Madam Heng and her daughter have been eating at Meizhou Tower every day, without missing a single meal all year round. Their sudden disappearance is indeed a conspiracy. Fortunately, you discovered it in time, otherwise we would all have been terribly harmed by the female Japanese pirates.” Li Quan was still shaken; he and his wife had been too careless.
All they think about is how to do business and make money, and they don't think about anything else. Could it be that they've been living too well these past few years and their whole family has become arrogant?
"Xingxing, don't worry, your uncle will definitely use his brain in the future. He won't be so dangerous as to not notice someone standing right next to him again," Li Quan assured him repeatedly, his voice filled with anguish.
"I really did hit my head and it's broken. Even if it's healed, it won't help. I'm like an idiot. I almost ruined everyone's lives. I'd rather die of stupidity." Zhong Daya pounded her chest and wailed again.
