Chapter 7 A Newborn Calf Is Not Afraid of a Tiger

Upon hearing this, the five brothers jumped up and exclaimed, "Xingxing is amazing! We didn't know it could be done like this!"

Xingxing smiled, pursing her lips. When her five older brothers weren't looking, she secretly clutched her heart. Oh my god, that scared me to death!

She didn't know why a certain image suddenly appeared in her mind, as if telling her what to do next, as if someone was deliberately helping her. At such a young age, she couldn't explain what was going on.

She was quite startled just now. It wasn't until the image in her mind quickly disappeared that she calmed down and tried to tell her brothers that they could do it that way, but she wasn't sure if this method would work.

Since her brothers couldn't think of a solution, she shared the solution she knew.

At this point, the five brothers pulled over a dozen thick vines and together they tied the wild boar and python into a bundle. After they finished, they drank water from bamboo tubes, but dared not rest, fearing that the smell of the python's blood would attract other wild animals.

"One, two, three, push! Heave-ho, push!" The five boys used all their strength to push the two wild animals away.

Xingxing also helped, cheering from the sidelines, shouting in her sweet little voice, "Come on, brothers! After this stretch of road, there's a hillside, and it'll be easy to roll downhill then!"

The five brothers, their faces flushed, exerted all their strength and finally managed to push the wild animal down the hillside after half an hour. The huge, bound creature rolled down the hillside with a rumble.

"Oh no, there's a tree blocking the way, I have to go down and move it." Zhou Erfu stomped his foot angrily and rushed down the hillside.

But he couldn't move the game by himself, so his four brothers quickly followed. The five brothers worked together to move the game and watched as the bundle of game rolled smoothly to the foot of the mountain.

The quintuplets breathed a huge sigh of relief, and Xingxing patted her chest in relief. Luckily, the images that had flashed in her mind worked; she didn't want to let her brothers down.

"Sifu, you're fast. Go back and call your parents so we can figure out a way to get the prey back." After giving his instructions, Zhou Dafu and the others stood guard beside the prey.

At this time, Zhou Laoda and Zhao Guihua were still turning over the soil in the field. Since they didn't have an ox, they could only turn the soil one hoe at a time, which was very tiring work. In the afternoon, the two of them had only turned over less than half an acre of land.

"Father, Mother, I've finally found you! Come quickly, come with me!" Zhou Sifu came running, panting. Before he could stop, he turned to run again, waving one hand behind him.

Zhao Guihua wiped the sweat from her forehead and scolded, "You brat, explain yourself before you run away. If you don't say what it is, your father and I don't have time to play games with you. We have to finish turning over the soil in this field before we can go home."

"Mom, we found a python and a wild boar! Come quickly and help us carry them back!" Zhou Sifu was extremely anxious, afraid that other villagers would see them and then come over to take a share of his family's meat.

"What pythons and wild boars? You brats, you've gone deep into the mountains? You've got some nerve!" Old Zhou glared, clearly angry.

Zhao Guihua quickly threw down her hoe. "Stop standing there staring! Go check on her quickly, I hope nothing has happened. Oh dear, my little girl is there too."

When Zhou Laoda and his wife arrived at the foot of the mountain and saw the giant python, which was as thick as an adult's thigh and nine feet long, and the wild boar weighing about 300 pounds, they gasped in shock.

"Tell me honestly, how did you tie up these two huge creatures?" These five brats are incredibly audacious. They dared to venture into the deep mountains to hunt without permission. They're lucky they weren't swallowed whole by the python.

Wild boars are incredibly powerful; even five adult men wouldn't dare catch one with their bare hands, yet five men, including a little girl, dared to tie up a python and a wild boar.

I don't know whether to praise them for their fearlessness or scold them for being reckless.

“Auntie, Uncle Zhou, please don’t be angry. These wild animals weren’t killed by my brothers. We found them. The snake and the pig were fighting and died together, and we found them when we were passing by.” Xingxing’s little face was very serious to prove that she was telling the truth.

The five brothers chattered on and on, explaining the whole story.

After figuring out what had happened, Zhao Guihua thought for a moment and said, "Let's get the wild boar out and take it home first, and then call the village chief over."

Old Zhou had no other redeeming qualities except that he listened to his wife. He would do whatever his wife told him to do. Upon hearing this, he stepped forward, pried the python off the wild boar, and then carried the wild boar on his back.

It has to be said that Old Zhou is really strong. Even though he doesn't get enough to eat every day, he can still carry a 300-pound weight, which is really impressive, although his steps are a little unsteady.

Xingxing was led home by Zhou Sanfu, and Zhou Sifu was sent to invite the village chief over. Zhao Guihua and her three other sons stayed where they were.

Neither of them noticed that two children, around ten years old, were watching them intently from the bushes not far away. When they saw Zhou the Elder carrying the wild boar away, they immediately crouched down and ran home.

The two children, the girl being Zhou Laosan's daughter Zhou Dahua and the boy being Zhou Laosan's son Zhou Dajin, ran home quickly to deliver the news.

"Dad, Uncle and the others have hunted a wild boar and a giant python! Let's go over and divide the meat!" Zhou Dahua shouted to Zhou Laosan.

Zhou Dajin, not to be outdone, said loudly, "Dad, let's hurry! The village chief is about to leave. If everyone in the village leaves, our family won't get much meat."

For the past six months, they have only been able to eat until they are about half full, and recently they have only been able to eat one meal a day. Food is scarce, and now that there is meat to share, they have to grab as much as possible.

However, Zhou Sifu was faster than them, so when the Zhou family rushed to the foot of the mountain at the end of the village, the village chief was already there with his men.

The village chief said, "The world is too chaotic these days. Yegou Village is far from the town, and there are many refugees on the road. If we want to take this meat out to sell for money, I'm afraid it will be robbed by the refugees halfway there. What I mean is that everyone should forget about money and just divide the meat among themselves."
