"Mother, do you have any good ideas?" Zhou Erfu and Zhou Sifu immediately surrounded them.
Zhao Guihua let out a sigh of frustration and said with a stern face, "What can I do? I asked you to discuss this. If you can't come up with a solution, then you'd better get the hell out of here and go home."
There must be a way. Zhou Erfu really wanted to ask Xingxing how many wild boars were in the weeds, but he thought that Xingxing only knew a rough estimate each time, and he figured he wouldn't get an answer from her anyway, so it was more reliable to find a way himself.
He looked around and saw a tall tree, more than ten meters high, in front of him. On a whim, he jumped onto the trunk and began to climb.
"Erfu, what are you doing?" Zhao Guihua's eyes were practically spitting fire. Erfu had better have a reasonable explanation.
"Mom, keep your voice down, don't scare the wild boars away. I'm going to climb up and see how many wild boars are in there, so I can make my move." Before she finished speaking, she had already darted to the top of the tree.
A short while later, Zhou Erfu climbed down from the tree again, and said happily, "I saw it, there's only one, we'll do this..."
"Are you sure there's only one wild boar? What if a few more suddenly appear out of nowhere? That's no joke," Zhao Guihua said cautiously.
"Mom, why don't you believe me? I saw it clearly, I even looked behind us, there really is only one wild boar within a ten-mile radius." It's just that the wild boar looks very big, at least three or four hundred pounds, and it won't be easy to deal with. But I can't tell my mother this, otherwise I'm sure I'll have no chance.
Zhou Erfu already had an idea in mind and immediately made arrangements. "Big brother, third brother, and fifth brother, climb up the tree, put some big stones in your baskets, and then throw them down at the wild boar. But you have to be careful, or you might fall down the tree yourself instead of hitting the boar."
The main problem was that throwing stones required force, and he was afraid that his three brothers would be pulled down by the inertia, and that they might die before they even got to eat the wild boar meat.
"Pah, pah, pah! If you can't speak properly, shut up! You haven't even climbed up yet and you're already spreading bad news. You're completely unreliable. Let's just forget it and go home. People are the most important thing." Zhao Guihua hugged Xingxing tightly, trying to stop her sons from going to hunt wild boar.
“Say something, sir. These five brats have grown too big for their britches; I can’t even control them anymore.”
Old Zhou gripped the axe tightly, hesitated for a moment, and said, "Wife, you take Xingxing and hide her well. I think we can manage with just the few of us."
"What do you mean, 'okay'? Dafu and the others are only ten years old. You, as their father, are really carefree, daring to send them on such a risk. Have they lost their minds?" Zhao Guihua kept nagging.
Xingxing patted Zhao Guihua's chest and said softly, "Mom, don't be angry. Xingxing knows there's a big pit ahead, a very deep pit. If my brothers drive the wild boar into the pit, we can catch it."
The group quickly realized that the deep pit was probably a trap dug by some hunter in the past. Although it was covered up, it still couldn't escape the star's predictive ability, which benefited them.
Zhou Erfu hurriedly asked where the Star Trap was.
Xingxing said, "It's right under the weeds in front of the wild boar, over there where a few wildflowers have bloomed. The pit is covered by wild grass and wildflowers."
Zhou Erfu darted to the top of the tree like a monkey, and came down again in no time. He said without batting an eye, "I saw it. The patch of grass with wildflowers that Xingxing mentioned is less than five meters away from the wild boar. As long as we drive it forward, it will fall into the pit."
No one present doubted what Xingxing said; they almost blindly believed in her superpowers.
After discussing for a while and assigning their respective tasks, the group began to act. Zhao Guihua led Xingxing up a big tree and sat on the trunk, pretending to be invisible.
Zhou Dafu, Zhou Sanfu, and Zhou Wufu carried several stones in their baskets, intending to split up and smash the wild boar later. Zhou Erfu and Zhou Sifu, being stronger, carried hoes to chase the wild boar away. Zhou Laoda carried an axe, and the three of them chased after the boar from three different directions, shouting together.
The three people in the tree were working together with the three people below to throw stones, preventing the wild boar from charging and injuring them, and also ensuring that the wild boar could run towards the trap.
Zhao Guihua regretted it as soon as she climbed the tree. Why did she have such a brain fart and agree to let the father and sons go catch wild boars? And she even threw stones down from the tree. What if she had hit someone instead of a wild boar? That would have been a huge problem.
While she was lost in thought, the three people under the tree started yelling and howling. The three were quite cautious, each hiding under the tree and howling, but they didn't rush out. They were trying to scare the wild boar away with their noise.
But with such strong echoes in the mountains, even wild boars probably couldn't tell where the sound was coming from.
"Smash, smash the stones!" It was impossible to tell where the voice was coming from, but as soon as the stones were thrown, the wild boars always knew where the danger was.
The three people in the tree frantically threw stones at the wild boar, but the distance was too far and their aim was not good enough, so not a single stone hit. Instead, they startled the wild boar, which began to scream and flee in panic. Then, the wild boar did not run towards the trap, but instead charged towards Zhou Sifu.
"Sifu, hurry up and climb the tree!" Zhao Guihua didn't care whether the wild boar would run away; she was only worried about whether her son would get hurt.
On Thursday, Fukuhara was stunned for a moment. Hearing his mother's roar, he quickly threw down the hoe and nimbly climbed up the tree.
Just then, Zhou Wufu saw the wild boar running towards him, so he quickly threw a rock down from the tree. Unfortunately, he missed and instead angered the wild boar. The wild boar, which weighed more than 300 pounds, went berserk and rammed into the tree where Zhou Wufu was standing. Its strength was so great that Zhou Wufu could only grit his teeth and hold on tightly to the tree trunk to avoid being shaken off the tree by its weight.
Zhao Guihua watched in horror, her face deathly pale, her voice trembling as she screamed, "Wufu, hold on tight! You must hold on tight! You absolutely must hold on tight! You can't fall!"
