The Fu brothers wholeheartedly agreed. Although Zhu Lin had saved their family's life, he couldn't just take Xingxing away; that was absolutely unacceptable.
I'll let it go today, but I can't spoil him like this anymore. Dad is really something, the house is already crowded, and he still lets so many people stay here.
"This kid's kung fu is really amazing, I really envy that. As for the rest, he's just so-so, nothing special. He's just much better looking than us, has a more outstanding temperament, a precious sword by his side, and six senior brothers and sisters who are like hermit masters." Zhou Erfu continued to be sour, the sourness was overflowing.
"Look, that kid seems to have given something to Xingxing. Look how happy the little girl is, she can't stop smiling. What a heartless little thing." Zhou Wufu kept a close eye on everything happening in the main room.
"It looks like fruit. Pshaw, what's so special about it? We can go up the mountain and pick it ourselves." Zhou Erfu curled his lip.
Before long, Xingxing came running out with a bulging bag of fruit wrapped in her clothes. She ran straight to the five brothers, saying, "Brothers, come and eat this fruit! Brother Lin gave it to me. It's a fairy fruit!"
The little girl's look of utter delight made the brothers feel a little heartbroken. It hadn't been that long, and the little girl was already calling that guy "Brother Lin" so affectionately.
Zhu Lin wanted Xingxing to call him Linlin, but Xingxing felt that he was several years older than her, and it would be impolite for her to call him by his name directly. She thought it would be better to call him Brother Lin.
“Aren’t our five older brothers enough for you to call out to? Do you want to recognize one more?” Zhou Sanfu said, raising an eyebrow.
"Third Brother, what you're saying is so strange. What's wrong with me calling him Brother Lin? He's five years older than me, he's eleven years old. There's nothing wrong with me calling him 'brother'." Xingxing was completely baffled.
Then he tossed the wrapped fruit around his neck and said, "Do you want some fairy fruit? It's delicious. I just tried one."
Originally, the five brothers wanted to be tough and not eat them, but when Xingxing spread out her clothes, revealing bright red, tempting fruits the size of a child's fist, they all drooled. They looked really delicious. They had never seen such fruits before and didn't know their name.
There were exactly five, no more, no less. The brothers each took one and eagerly began to eat.
“No wonder Xingxing said this is a fairy fruit. After tasting it, I also think it is a fairy fruit. The taste is absolutely amazing.” Zhou Erfu’s eyes suddenly lit up and he turned to look at Zhu Lin in the main room.
Perhaps it was his intense gaze that Zhu Lin noticed him almost as soon as he looked over. She looked up and met his eyes. Zhou Erfu, upon being looked at by him, suddenly hiccuped nervously.
To be honest, he was actually quite envious of Zhu Lin's martial arts skills and swordsmanship. He wondered if he could ask Zhu Lin if he would be willing to teach him even a move or two.
“Brother Phosphorus is a very good person, so don’t be afraid of him. His sword only kills bad people, it won’t hurt good people,” Xingxing explained with a serious expression.
"Who, who's afraid of him?" Zhou Erfu refused to admit it, stubbornly denying it.
"It's good that you're not afraid of him. By the way, Brother Lin and his senior brothers and sisters said they're going to town for a stroll. I'm going with them later. Do you brothers want to come?" Xingxing asked casually when she remembered this.
“Go, everyone go together.” Zhou Sanfu said calmly. Although the men in black had been scared away last night, who knew if they would come back? So no one in the family could be left alone, lest something happen.
After breakfast, Zhu Qiuyu and the others sat in the courtyard, listening to Boss Zhou and Zhao Guihua recount their experiences one by one. They were very patient, listening from the beginning of Boss Zhou and Zhao Guihua's marriage until they heard about their recent being chased by men in black.
Half an hour passed in the blink of an eye, and it was getting late. Boss Zhou looked up at the sun and realized he couldn't continue the conversation, even though chatting with experts about the past gave him a strange sense of peace.
But eating is a major event in life, and if we dawdle any longer, the meat in town might all be sold out.
Zhu Xichen smiled gently and said, "I originally wanted to have Fourth Junior Brother tell my fortune, but there's no rush. We can do it after we come back from the market."
Seeing that the Zhou couple were confused, Zhu Changge explained, "Junior Brother has a connection with your Zhou family. After hearing your story and recent experiences, he thought of having Fourth Junior Brother tell your fortune to predict good or bad luck and avoid villains."
Zhou Laoda and Zhao Guihua had no doubt that these seemingly divine figures would not lie to them, and that the divination was definitely accurate.
Normally, only wealthy and noble families can afford to hire reclusive masters. It was only through the blessing of the stars that we were able to meet them, and they even offered to tell our fortunes. What an incredible stroke of luck!
"Thank you, fellow immortals, uh, thank you, fellow senior brothers and sisters." Old Zhou subconsciously wanted to call them immortals again, but he quickly changed the subject.
Zhu Xichen's smile grew even warmer. He didn't say anything more. They were only helping out of respect for their junior brother. His junior brother seemed to care a lot about the Zhou family's daughter, and he was giving her all sorts of good things.
There were some things that even their senior brothers and sisters had never seen before, yet their junior brother was willing to give them to that little girl, making them a little envious.
The junior brother said he came to see an acquaintance, so the Zhou family's daughter is an acquaintance of his. When did they meet? Was it in a past life?
An hour later, the Zhou family and Zhu Lin's group arrived in the town. It was market day, and the market was crowded with people, many of whom had come from nearby villages or neighboring towns. The streets were bustling with people and extremely lively.
Because it was a coastal town, there were many seafood vendors at the market. The smell was not pleasant, and the surrounding area was filled with the fishy smell and the stench of the people, which made Zhu Lin very uncomfortable.
