Chapter 442 Boss Zhou is worried

Xingxing simply turned around and glanced at Ruru, without any particular feeling or embarrassment. She laughed and joked around for a while before coming over to talk to Ruru.

"Did you have something to say to me just now?"

Ruru rolled her eyes at her and said irritably, "You still know I have something to say to you? Looks like you were pretending not to hear me just now. You're such a womanizer."

"Don't be so stingy. I was out for so long this morning and didn't see Brother Lin. Of course I should say a few more words when I see him." Xingxing's reason was neither reasonable nor confident.

"So cheesy, you little brat, you have no shame." Chen Yueru rubbed the back of her hands, looking like she couldn't stand it.

Xingxing glared at her. "Stop acting strangely and get to the point."

"Oh right, I have something important to tell you. Come closer." Chen Yueru whispered in her ear for a while.

After hearing this, Xingxing's mouth gaped open. "It doesn't seem like it. How come I didn't notice?"

"You can't even see it when it's so obvious? I'm telling you, there's definitely no doubt about it. Why don't you go and find out what Chun Chun thinks later? She has feelings for him but doesn't realize it. Da Fu is also slow on the uptake; he doesn't even know he's interested in someone. If no one points them out, how long will it take for them to realize it on their own?" Chen Yueru was really worried about Da Fu and Chun Chun.

Xingxing pouted and asked in confusion, "Why do you know so much? You're a year younger than me. How come you can see things that I can't?"

"Tsk, I wouldn't dare say I know more than you in other things, and I'm even worse than you in many things, but I'm definitely more perceptive when it comes to matters of the heart. None of you knew I fell for Sanfu, but I knew it in my heart. You're all not as good as me in this regard," Ruru replied with a proud expression.

Looking at Ruru's smug little face, Xingxing felt unconvinced. She retorted, "How could I be inferior to you? I have a future husband. I had already chosen the person I liked and then immediately and decisively made a decision."

Ruru immediately retorted, "That's because Young Master Zhu is constantly circling around you. If it weren't for him coming up to you and treating you so well, you definitely wouldn't know what liking someone is. And even if you've been betrothed, it doesn't mean you know what liking someone means."

You just think a good man should strike first, and that good things shouldn't go to someone else. You're just smart, but that doesn't mean you understand what liking someone means.

"What's the difference? Isn't that what you think too? Do you have some deeper understanding?" Xingxing didn't believe her nonsense.

“Of course,” Ruru said with even more pride. “Does your heart pound when you get too close to Young Master Zhu? Do you blush involuntarily when he stares at you? Do you feel uncomfortable when he holds your hand?” Ruru listed a bunch of examples, speaking with great eloquence and profound knowledge.

Xingxing was dumbfounded. It seemed that this had happened occasionally, but most of the time she didn't think much of it. For example, Zhu Lin often put his arm around her waist to escape danger and often carried her on his back. She was used to it and never thought much of it.

Judging from her expression, Ruru knew she had been right. She chuckled and leaned closer, saying, "See, none of what I said above applies to you, right? You're just a childish kid; you don't even know what liking someone means."

Xingxing frowned, somewhat unhappy. She clearly liked Brother Lin, but she really didn't feel anything about what Ruru said. No, to prove that she liked Brother Lin, she had to find those feelings.

Then she turned around and stormed off, but Ruru stopped her. "Hey, don't rush off. We're talking about serious matters. We're not here to discuss how your relationship with Young Master Zhu is going. I'm here to tell you that my intuition is right. Brother Dafu and Chun Chun definitely like each other. So, shouldn't we help out a bit?"

Xingxing's face was grumpy. After thinking for a moment, she snorted, "This is still far from certain, what's the rush? If you're in a hurry, go for it yourself. I don't have time."

"Why are you always so busy? You've been so busy looking for a future sister-in-law lately, but now that there's a suitable candidate, you're not paying attention at all," Chen Yueru complained speechlessly.

But Xingxing ignored her and ran quickly to find Zhu Lin, where she saw him drawing water from the well, with a servant releasing chicken blood next to him.

"Brother Phosphorus, don't bother with this. Come with me. I have something very important to confirm with you." Xingxing stepped forward and grabbed the boy's hand.

The boy had no choice but to put down the bucket of water he had just brought up. He chuckled good-naturedly, his voice low and pleasant, "What's wrong now? Why are you so easily startled?"

"Come with me quickly, let's go back inside," Xingxing said earnestly.

Zhu Lin glanced indifferently at the servant girl beside her, whose hand trembled slightly as she held the cleaver, and whispered a reminder to her to be more reserved, "Ahem, don't say things like that so casually in public in the future."

"Why can't we say? We're going back inside to take care of some important business. There's nothing to hide," Xingxing said dismissively.

Sigh, isn't this little girl a bit too slow in some ways?

Actually, Xingxing wasn't as naive as he thought. The reason she was so unguarded and innocent in front of him was simply because he was the one she was with. If it were anyone else, she wouldn't be so carefree.

After confirming that the two had left, the servant who had just bled the chicken looked in the direction they had gone with a gossipy expression. Hiss, his young lady and future son-in-law were too bold, committing adultery in broad daylight?

He remembered hearing the master and mistress mention that the young lady was not yet married. Oh dear, it's not good for them to have that kind of relationship before marriage. If it leads to a death, it will ruin the reputation of the Zhou family.

Should he go and inform the master and mistress?
