Chapter 697 Moved

Before he finished speaking, Xiao Feng had already transformed into a blur, and the sword in his hand unleashed astonishing power.

Sword light flashed, blood splattered, and in the blink of an eye, all the members of the Demonic Sect fell into pools of blood.

This astonishing scene left Chen Xianmiao speechless.

However, just as she was about to ask a question, Xiao Feng suddenly turned pale, swayed a few times, and then fell heavily to the ground.

"Dongfang Bubai!" Chen Xianmiao exclaimed. She couldn't see, but she could run forward by feeling.

She carefully helped Xiao Feng up, and looking at his pale face, a strange feeling welled up in her heart.

"This idiot, he hasn't even recovered yet, but he still forced himself to fight..."

Chen Xianmiao sighed softly, carried Xiao Feng on her back, and slowly walked towards her residence.

Along the way, she could feel Xiao Feng's even breathing on the back of her neck, which stirred up a strange feeling in her heart.

"What an unpredictable guy..." Chen Xianmiao murmured softly, a gentle smile unconsciously curving her lips.

Two days passed quickly, and Xiao Feng finally woke up.

He slowly opened his eyes, looked around, and felt thankful to be alive. "Hey, looks like God doesn't want to take this handsome guy like me yet."

He chuckled to himself.

Xiao Feng tried to get out of bed, but his legs went weak and he stumbled and fell flat on his back.

"Ouch, this is going to turn me into a pig's head!" he muttered, grimacing, but couldn't help laughing out loud.

Hearing the commotion, Chen Xianmiao rushed into the room. When she realized that Xiao Feng had woken up, a look of surprise flashed in her usually stagnant eyes.

"Xiao Feng, you're finally awake!" she said with concern, quickly stepping forward to help Xiao Feng up.

Xiao Feng grinned, feigning pain: "Ouch, Miss Xianmiao, you'd better be gentle, my little body can't take this!"

Chen Xianmiao couldn't help but chuckle and gently patted him: "You talk too much! Hurry up and lie down!"

Xiao Feng blinked and teased, "You're so concerned about me, could it be that you've fallen in love with me?"

Chen Xianmiao blushed and pretended to be angry: "If you keep talking nonsense, I'll knock you out!"

"Oh no, no, no!" Xiao Feng quickly waved his hands, "My body can't take another fainting spell!"

The two were playfully fighting back and forth when Chen Xianmiao couldn't hold back any longer and actually slapped Xiao Feng on the head, knocking him unconscious.

"Ah!" Chen Xianmiao exclaimed in surprise, then covered her mouth.

She glanced at Xiao Feng cautiously, and after confirming that he had really fainted, her heart suddenly raced.

As if guided by a ghost, Chen Xianmiao leaned down, cupped Xiao Feng's face in her hands, and gently placed a kiss on his forehead.

Instantly, she felt her face burning hot.

"What...what's wrong with me..." she whispered in a panic.

Just then, the sound of children's voices came from outside the door.

Chen Xianmiao quickly straightened her clothes and left the room.

It turned out that the children from the village had brought some gifts as a token of their gratitude.

"Sister Xianmiao, these are our family's eggs, please accept them!" a little girl said timidly.

Chen Xianmiao smiled gently and took only a small amount from each child: "Thank you for your kindness, this is enough."

After the children left reluctantly, Chen Xianmiao returned to her room and noticed that Xiao Feng had already woken up.

She brought over a bowl of steaming chicken soup: "Here, try my chicken soup."

Xiao Feng took the bowl, smelled it, and his expression suddenly changed: "This...is this chicken soup? Why does it smell like poison?"

Chen Xianmiao said angrily, "Hmph, fine, don't drink then!"

Xiao Feng's eyes darted around, and he said with a grin, "How about this, you try it first, and then I'll drink it?"

"You!" Chen Xianmiao was both angry and amused: "I think you deserve a beating!"

The two chatted back and forth, filling the room with laughter.

After playfully bickering for a while, Xiao Feng suddenly sat up, patted his chest, and said, "Hey, it seems the injury is almost healed. Miss Xianmiao, let me show you my cooking skills today!"

Chen Xianmiao looked at him in surprise: "You can cook?"

Xiao Feng raised an eyebrow smugly: "Of course, I'm a master chef!"

With that, he dashed into the kitchen and got to work.

The clatter of pots and pans filled the air, punctuated by occasional exclamations from Xiao Feng: "Hey, how come this scallion runs faster than a rabbit?"

"Hey, little pepper, don't be stubborn with me!"

Chen Xianmiao couldn't help but chuckle. Standing at the kitchen door, she heard Xiao Feng's flustered state and a sweet feeling welled up in her heart.

Spending these past few days together, she's grown to like this humorous and witty man more and more.

"Xiao Feng, are you really okay?" Chen Xianmiao couldn't help but ask.

Without turning his head, Xiao Feng confidently said, "Don't worry, I'm the reincarnation of a culinary god!"

No sooner had the words left his mouth than a potato rolled off the cutting board.

Chen Xianmiao shook her head with a smile, thinking to herself that this fool was both infuriating and hilarious.

Finally, after a fierce battle, Xiao Feng came out carrying a plate of delicious-looking dishes.

"Please try it, I guarantee you'll be amazed!" he said smugly.

Chen Xianmiao took a bite, and her eyes immediately lit up: "It's delicious! I didn't know you had this skill."

Xiao Feng chuckled: "That's right, I'm quite the hidden talent!"

And so, the two of them chatted back and forth, enjoying a pleasant dinner.

However, happy times are always short-lived.

After Xiao Feng's injuries healed, he knew it was time for him to leave.

Looking at Chen Xianmiao's gentle smile, Xiao Feng felt a mix of emotions.

He understood Chen Xianmiao's feelings for him, but the path of cultivation was long and arduous, and he couldn't bear to let her get involved.

"I...I should go," Xiao Feng said softly, trying to hide the reluctance in his voice.

Chen Xianmiao's smile froze instantly, but she quickly composed herself: "Oh... okay, your injury is healed, it's time to go back."

After saying that, she turned around hurriedly and left, making an excuse to go up the mountain to gather herbs.

Xiao Feng watched Chen Xianmiao's departing figure and couldn't help but sigh.

He knew that Chen Xianmiao was forcing a smile, but she must be very sad inside.

Chen Xianmiao wandered aimlessly up the mountain, tears streaming down her face without her realizing it.

She thought Xiao Feng would stay, but she didn't expect him to leave.

She suppressed her disappointment and mechanically began picking herbs.

As night fell, Chen Xianmiao dragged her tired body home.

As she approached her house, she sensed that the person was angry.

Her heart skipped a beat. Had Xiao Feng changed his mind?

With a glimmer of hope, Chen Xianmiao strode into the house.

Xiao Feng was busy in the kitchen, where a sumptuous feast was laid out on the table.

"You...you didn't leave?" Chen Xianmiao asked in surprise.

Xiao Feng turned around, smiling, and said, "Didn't I promise to treat you to a meal? How can you just leave like that?"

A warm feeling welled up in Chen Xianmiao's heart; she knew this was Xiao Feng's farewell banquet.
