Upon hearing this, Gan Feng's vanity instantly surged.
He was secretly delighted, feeling that he had finally gotten this opportunity.
His eyes burned with a hint of frivolity as he said, "Miss Zhao, if you truly wish to thank me, why not repay me with your body?"
Upon hearing this, Zhao Yuwei's face instantly darkened.
Her brows furrowed, a hint of disgust flashing in her eyes, and she said seriously, "My heart has already been given to Xiao Feng, and I have no other thoughts."
Gan Feng dismissed the news, his heart burning with jealousy.
He curled his lip in disdain and continued to belittle him, "What's so great about Xiao Feng? He can't compare to me..."
Before she finished speaking, Zhao Yuwei had already drawn her sword.
She glared angrily, the tip of her sword pointing directly at Gan Feng, her whole body radiating a chilling killing intent.
Gan Feng was so frightened by this sudden turn of events that he retreated repeatedly, his smugness vanishing completely.
Zhao Yuwei didn't want to say another word to Gan Feng and turned to leave.
She forced herself to walk slowly towards the door, her body weak.
Seeing this, Gan Feng couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him.
He advised, "Your body is not fully recovered yet, so rest for a while longer."
Zhao Yuwei didn't turn her head and firmly said, "No need."
After saying that, she stumbled out of the clinic.
Gan Feng looked at Zhao Yuwei's weak but stubborn back and felt a mix of emotions.
He hesitated for a moment, but ultimately followed.
After leaving the clinic, Zhao Yuwei walked unsteadily down the street.
Her face was as pale as paper, and with each step she took, she felt dizzy, but she gritted her teeth and forced herself to continue.
"I must find Xiao Feng..." Zhao Yuwei silently repeated to herself, this thought supporting her swaying body.
Suddenly, a sharp pain struck, and Zhao Yuwei felt as if an invisible hand was tightly gripping her chest.
She staggered and managed to steady herself by grabbing the wall by the roadside.
Large beads of sweat rolled down her forehead and slid down her pale cheeks.
"No... I can't fall down..." Zhao Yuwei bit her lip, enduring the pain as she continued to walk forward.
Just then, a fishy-sweet taste rose in my throat.
Zhao Yuwei suddenly covered her mouth, but bright red blood still seeped out from between her fingers and dripped onto the ground.
"Miss Zhao!" Upon seeing this, Gan Feng quickly stepped forward to support the swaying Zhao Yuwei.
He said urgently, "Your health is terrible, let's go back to the clinic."
Zhao Yuwei shook her head slightly: "No... I must find Xiao Feng..."
She raised her head, but as soon as she finished speaking, everything went black before her eyes, and she collapsed limply to the ground.
Gan Feng reacted quickly and caught the unconscious Zhao Yuwei.
He looked at the pale-faced woman in his arms, feeling helpless.
"This stubborn girl..." Gan Feng sighed softly, his brows furrowed.
He knew how deep Zhao Yuwei's obsession was with finding Xiao Feng, but her current physical condition was far too dangerous.
Ganfeng is in a dilemma.
Should we respect Zhao Yuwei's wishes and continue searching for Xiao Feng, or send her back to recuperate for her safety?
Finally, Gan Feng took a deep breath and made a decision.
“I’m sorry, Miss Zhao. I know you want to find Xiao Feng right now, but your safety is more important.” He murmured to himself, “I’ll take you back to Huayun Sect first. There are better doctors there who can help you recover as quickly as possible. We can discuss what to do next after you wake up.”
Having made up his mind, Gan Feng carefully picked up Zhao Yuwei and walked quickly toward the Huayun Sect.
"Don't worry, Miss Zhao. I will definitely help you find Xiao Feng." Gan Feng secretly vowed in his heart: "But before that, you must take good care of your health."
Ming Cult.
Xiao Feng narrowed his eyes slightly, hiding behind a thick ancient tree, his gaze sweeping sharply over the Ming Cult members not far away.
His breathing was almost silent, and he moved with utmost care, afraid of disturbing the ravenous Ming Cult followers.
"That old fox Wu Hai, he really didn't have good intentions."
Xiao Feng thought to himself, his brows furrowed.
He saw Wu Hai whispering instructions to several of his trusted men, his sinister eyes flashing with ill intent.
Xiao Feng held his breath and pressed his ear against the tree trunk, trying to catch more information.
Suddenly, a gentle breeze swept by, carrying with it fragments of Wu Hai's words:
"...Azure Sword Manor...soon..."
These words exploded in Xiao Feng's ears like a thunderclap.
He was startled, his heart pounding. "Oh no! There's danger at Jade Sword Manor!"
Knowing the urgency of the situation, Xiao Feng immediately took out a communication jade slip from his pocket.
He closed his eyes, channeled his inner energy into the jade slip, and quickly transmitted a message: "Brother Jingshen, Wu Hai of the Ming Cult has made some unusual moves, possibly targeting Bijian Manor. Be prepared immediately!"
After sending the message, Xiao Feng dared not linger and quietly withdrew from the Ming Cult's headquarters.
He secretly prayed that Jing Shen would receive the message in time.
Meanwhile, far away at Bijian Manor, Jing Shen was meditating and cultivating in his room.
Suddenly, the jade pendant at his waist vibrated slightly, and a message entered his mind.
Jing Shen suddenly opened his eyes, his pupils contracting sharply.
He quickly stood up, his face full of solemnity.
"Damn it!" he cursed under his breath, and strode out of the room, heading straight for the manor lord's study.
Arriving at the study door, Jing took a deep breath to calm his rapid breathing before pushing the door open and entering.
"Master, I have something important to report." Jing Shen's voice carried a hint of tension.
The manor owner looked up at Jing Shen, his brows furrowing slightly: "What is the matter that is so urgent?"
Jing Shen strode forward and lowered his voice, saying, "I just received news that Wu Hai of the Ming Cult may be plotting against my Bijian Manor."
Upon hearing this, the manor lord's expression changed drastically.
He stood up abruptly and shouted sternly, "Guards! Immediately summon all the elders and put the entire mountain on alert!"
Seeing the manor lord's decisiveness, Jing Shen felt somewhat relieved.
He turned to leave, but was stopped by the manor lord: "Chen Jing, you stay here."
Jing Shen's heart tightened, and he turned around: "Does the Master have any further instructions?"
The manor lord gave Jing Shen a deep look and slowly asked, "Where did you get this information from?"
Jing Shen was startled, but remained outwardly calm: "It was... sent by a friend."
The manor owner nodded thoughtfully and did not ask any further questions.
Jing Shen breathed a sigh of relief and was about to take his leave when he heard a cold voice coming from behind him:
How did you know this news?
Jing Shen turned around abruptly and saw Zhuang Wuxia standing at the door, staring at him with eyes as sharp as knives.
Jing Shen suppressed his inner turmoil and feigned composure, saying, "Miss Zhuang, as I just said, we are friends from the martial arts world..."
"Bullshit!" Zhuang Wuxia shouted angrily, interrupting Jing Shen. She strode forward, her eyes burning with rage: "I knew all along that you were the heartless man who betrayed me and ran away!"
This sudden accusation left Jing Shen speechless for a moment.
