Chapter 862 Coming to Collect Debts

Xiao Feng's heart was pounding in his ears; he felt as if his heart was about to leap out of his throat.

"It's all over, it's really hopeless now!"

He wailed inwardly, his eyes wide open, staring intently at the approaching behemoth.

Xiao Feng held the dragon egg tightly, knowing that fighting head-on under these circumstances would be the worst possible strategy.

That flying tiger was huge and clearly not one to be trifled with.

Even if I had some skill, I wouldn't be a match for this behemoth.

"My goodness, this is a situation I can't explain myself no matter what!"

Xiao Feng cursed himself inwardly: "I should have asked around more. This godforsaken place actually has such a ferocious guardian beast!"

Fei Hu's footsteps grew closer and closer, and Xiao Feng could feel his heart pounding in his ears, as if it were about to burst out of his chest.

"Calm down, calm down!"

"Panic now will only make things worse. We need to find a way to get out of here!"

He cautiously shrank deeper into the boulder, his nose twitching as if he had locked onto his target.

Those scarlet eyes seemed to pierce through the boulder, staring intently at the spot where Xiao Feng was.

"If I were to fight this Flying Tiger, I certainly wouldn't escape unscathed."

He secretly calculated to himself: "I must act carefully and find the right opportunity to escape!"

Just at this critical moment, a commotion suddenly arose in the distance.

Flying Tiger's attention was instantly drawn, and its massive head snapped toward the direction from which the sound came.

"There's always a way out!" Xiao Feng thought to himself with delight. "Now I have a chance!"

He held the dragon egg tightly and, taking advantage of the moment when Fei Hu was distracted, quietly moved in the opposite direction.

They walked with extreme caution, afraid of disturbing the enormous creature.

"As long as we can leave this area, we'll have a chance to escape!"

In those thrilling few minutes, Xiao Feng successfully widened the gap between himself and Fei Hu.

He only dared to relax a little when he finally hid in a dense thicket of bushes.

"Phew...at least we're safe for now."

Xiao Feng let out a long breath and wiped the cold sweat from his forehead.

"But this is just the beginning. We need to find a way to get out of this awful place quickly!"

He carefully looked around to make sure Flying Tiger wasn't chasing him.

Then, Xiao Feng hugged the dragon egg tightly in his arms, taking each step with extreme caution, for fear of disturbing the terrifying flying tiger again.

Just as Fei Hu failed to spot Xiao Feng, a deafening dragon roar suddenly resounded through the sky.

The sound was like a thunderclap, shaking the mountains and forests and causing birds to scatter in fright.

Xiao Feng felt his eardrums buzzing and his heart pounding in his throat.

"What is this thing?!"

Xiao Feng looked around in alarm, only to see the fog around him growing thicker and thicker.

Shadows flickered faintly in the fog.

Suddenly, a tall, slender man emerged from the mist.

He wore a long black robe, his long silver hair fluttered in the wind, and a dragon-shaped jade pendant gleamed on his forehead.

The man's gaze was sharp as he scanned his surroundings before finally settling on Flying Tiger.

His expression changed drastically, his brows furrowed, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

The surrounding temperature seemed to drop several degrees suddenly.

"Flying Tiger!" the man roared, his voice filled with boundless rage. "How dare you sneak into my territory while I was away! You're asking for death!"

Upon hearing this, Fei Hu was not to be outdone.

A flash of light appeared around him, and he instantly transformed into a tall, muscular man.

The man had fierce eyebrows and eyes, and his body was muscular and exuded a powerful aura.

He glared angrily, pointed at the dragon bones, and roared:

"Dragon Bone! You murderer! You killed my child back then, and today I've come to avenge that blood debt!" Flying Tiger's voice was filled with grief and hatred, as if he wanted to vent all the resentment that had been building up for years.

The man known as Dragon Bone snorted coldly and extended his right hand.

Xiao Feng stared in disbelief as the hand transformed into a gigantic dragon claw in the blink of an eye, its sharp tips gleaming with a cold light, as if it could easily tear everything apart.

"Since you're courting death, then I'll grant your wish today!" Dragon Bone said coldly, his voice filled with ruthlessness and determination.

Before the words were even finished, the two of them had already rushed towards each other like arrows released from a bow.

The dragon's claws collided with the tiger's claws in mid-air, producing a deafening roar.

The air currents surged, and trees snapped.

Xiao Feng huddled in the bushes, staring in disbelief at the scene.

"My goodness, what kind of battle is this?!" He thought to himself, "If I get caught up in this, I'll probably be reduced to ashes!"

Immediately, Flying Tiger charged towards Dragon Bone.

His figure moved like lightning, his tiger claws leaving afterimages in the air.

Not to be outdone, the dragon bone brandished its claws, creating a piercing sound as it tore through the air.

The two figures appeared and disappeared in the mist, and each collision was accompanied by a deafening roar.

The air currents surged, snapping trees and sending debris flying.

Seeing this, Xiao Feng thought to himself, "My goodness, what kind of battle is this?! If I got caught up in it, I'd probably be nothing but dust!"

His heart was pounding, cold sweat streamed down his forehead, and his whole body was trembling slightly.

Immediately afterwards, Xiao Feng hugged the dragon egg tightly, curled up in the bushes, and dared not breathe.

His eyes were wide open, as if afraid of missing any detail.

Meanwhile, his ears were perked up very high.

And so, Xiao Feng watched with trepidation as these two extraordinary beings began to fight.

The dragon's claws gleamed with a cold light, and each swing brought up a gust of wind.

The tiger's claws glowed with a faint green light, and wherever they went, the air seemed to be torn apart.

The two exchanged blows, their moves sharp and fierce.

Dragon Bone struck Flying Tiger's face with a dragon claw, but Flying Tiger dodged to the side and retaliated by grabbing Dragon Bone's waist with a claw.

The dragon bone soared into the air, dodging the attack while its long tail swept horizontally, aiming straight for the flying tiger's lower body.

Flying Tiger dodged with a somersault, then soared into the air and swooped down, its tiger claws bringing a whistling wind as it chopped down at Dragon Bone.

The dragon's claws crossed, taking the blow head-on.

"boom!"

A loud bang made Xiao Feng's eardrums ache.

He saw the dragon bone being forced back by the blow, and two deep furrows were plowed into the ground beneath its feet.

Fei Hu used the momentum to leap backward and landed steadily, his eyes flashing with ferocity.

The two fought more and more fiercely, their movements so fast that Xiao Feng could barely see them.

All that could be seen were two blurry figures colliding repeatedly in the air, each collision unleashing astonishing energy fluctuations that shook the surrounding trees to the point of collapse.

Xiao Feng huddled in the bushes, his heart pounding.

He held the dragon egg tightly, afraid that he might be caught in the crossfire.

"This is terrifying!"

Xiao Feng silently complained to himself, "If I get involved, I'm afraid I won't even have any bones left!"

Just then, Dragon Bone struck Flying Tiger in the chest with a dragon claw.
