Chapter 869 Things in the Clouds

Xiao Feng felt a sense of foreboding. He hugged the little dragon tightly and rushed towards what looked like the weakest gap.

His movements were as fast as lightning, and he moved nimbly through the horde of monsters.

"Run, run, my life is at stake!"

Xiao Feng kept encouraging himself in his heart.

The fiery clouds in the sky seemed to have become even more eerie, with the red light becoming increasingly dazzling.

As Xiao Feng ran, he would occasionally glance up at the unusual cloud formation.

"This awful weather, the more I look at it, the more creepy it gets," he muttered to himself, feeling that something big was about to happen.

The little dragon kept squirming in his arms, seemingly sensing the threat from the sky.

Xiao Feng gently patted the little guy's back and whispered to comfort him, "Don't be afraid, Daddy's taking you away!"

At this critical moment, the fiery clouds in the sky suddenly began to churn violently, as if they were about to fall from the heavens.

Xiao Feng was startled and quickened his pace.

"My goodness, this is going to be the end of the world!" he shouted as he ran. "God, don't play this kind of joke on me!"

Xiao Feng was fleeing with all his might, secretly praying that he could escape danger.

However, fate did not seem to favor him.

Just at this critical moment, a blinding red light suddenly descended from the sky, striking directly at Xiao Feng's location.

The light, like a sharp sword, instantly pierced the sky, roaring in with a world-destroying momentum.

"What the hell is this thing?"

Xiao Feng exclaimed in surprise and instinctively rolled to the side, barely avoiding the direct hit of the red light.

With a deafening roar, a red light struck the ground, blasting out a huge crater.

Smoke and dust rose, and gravel flew everywhere.

Xiao Feng scrambled to his feet, his ears ringing and his vision blurring.

"Wow, that's incredibly powerful!"

He stared at the smoking crater with lingering fear, and couldn't help but swallow hard.

The little dragon let out a weak cry in his arms, seemingly startled by the sudden attack.

Xiao Feng gently patted its back and whispered to comfort it, "Don't be afraid, don't be afraid, we're alright."

However, the crisis was not over.

The fiery clouds in the sky seemed to be enraged and began to churn violently.

Rays of red light poured down from the clouds like raindrops, bombarding the ground relentlessly.

"My goodness, this is it, we're doomed!"

Xiao Feng's expression changed drastically, and he hugged Xiao Long tightly and began to run wildly.

His figure dodged left and right amidst the bombardment of red light, like a nimble rabbit.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions rang out behind Xiao Feng, and the earth seemed to tremble.

He could feel the scorching heat rushing towards him, and his back felt hot.

"God, are you trying to kill me?!" Xiao Feng shouted as he ran, his face filled with fear and helplessness.

Just then, a thick beam of red light suddenly descended from the sky, striking straight at Xiao Feng.

This time, he had nowhere to hide.

"It's all over, it's really all over now!"

Xiao Feng's heart sank, and he instinctively pulled the little dragon into his arms and closed his eyes.

However, the expected pain did not come.

A strange power suddenly surged from his body, forming a faint light shield around him.

The red light struck the light shield, but was actually deflected!

Xiao Feng was stunned, staring at his hands in disbelief.

"What...what's going on?"

Little Dragon let out an excited cry in his arms, seemingly happy for him.

Xiao Feng looked down at the little guy and suddenly realized something.

"Could it be...you?" he asked in surprise.

Xiao Long tilted his head and looked at him, a sly glint in his eyes.

Xiao Feng couldn't help but laugh: "You little rascal, you didn't know you had such great skills hidden away!"

Just then, the fiery clouds in the sky suddenly began to twist and deform, as if something was about to burst out from them.

"What's going on now?" he muttered to himself. "Could something even more powerful be about to emerge?"

Xiao Long also looked up at the sky and let out a low roar.

"Looks like there's going to be a good show."

The clouds in the sky are becoming increasingly unstable.

Xiao Feng held Xiao Long tightly, staring intently at the sky.

"Come on," he whispered, "let me see what you really are!"

Xiao Feng suddenly felt a powerful sense of oppression descending from the sky.

He looked up and immediately gasped.

Suddenly, a gigantic monster appeared in the clouds.

When its enormous wings are spread, they blot out the sky, as if they are about to swallow the entire sky.

Xiao Feng felt a chill run down his spine: "My goodness, what is this thing?"

He instinctively hugged the little dragon in his arms tighter, his heart racing.

The surrounding environment also became eerie after the monster appeared.

The once azure sky was stained dark red, and the clouds looked as if they had been splashed with ink, turning pitch black.

The wind howled, and the trees swayed wildly, making a chilling "whooshing" sound.

A roar ripped through the night sky, and a giant bat, its body jet black and eyes blood red, descended from the heavens, its sharp claws gleaming coldly, heading straight for the little dragon in Xiao Feng's arms.

The monster's wingspan was a full three zhang (approximately 10 meters), and it reeked of a foul stench that made people want to vomit.

The little dragon was terrified by the sudden attack and whimpered incessantly in Xiao Feng's arms, its voice filled with fear.

Xiao Feng's heart tightened, and he immediately circulated his immortal power to form a light blue protective shield around his body.

"Don't be afraid, little one, I'm here!" Xiao Feng comforted him in a low voice, while cautiously observing his surroundings.

The monster seemed determined to get its hands on Xiao Feng, relentlessly pursuing him every time Xiao Feng dodged.

Just as Xiao Feng was about to dodge again, he suddenly felt a chill down his spine.

"Not good!" Xiao Feng thought to himself, instinctively rolling to the side.

With a "whoosh," a wisp of black smoke grazed past his ear, narrowly missing a vital spot.

Xiao Feng steadied himself and quickly turned around, only to see a girl in a fiery red dress staring coldly at him.

The girl was about sixteen or seventeen years old, with delicate features, but her eyes held a chilling coldness.

Her red dress fluttered without wind, and she was surrounded by black mist, giving off an ominous feeling.

"Hand over that little dragon," the girl in red said, her voice clear but devoid of any emotion. "Otherwise, you'll regret it."

Upon hearing this, Xiao Feng couldn't help but laugh in anger.

"Heh, little girl, are you threatening me?"

He raised an eyebrow, his tone slightly mocking: "I advise you to go home and drink your milk. This is not a place for you."

Upon hearing this, a flash of anger crossed the girl in red's eyes.
