After a dizzying sensation, Xiao Feng finally felt his body stop swaying.
He slowly opened his eyes, only to find that he was still surrounded by darkness.
He blinked instinctively, but no light penetrated.
A wave of panic washed over him, and he hurriedly waved his hand in front of his eyes, but there was no change in light or shadow.
"What's going on? I... I can't see?"
Xiao Feng was horrified and kept rubbing his eyes, hoping to regain his sight.
However, no matter how hard he tried, all he could see was darkness.
Just then, the sound of waves reached my ears, one after another, rhythmically lapping against the shore.
The damp sea breeze, carrying a salty and fishy smell, hit Xiao Feng, who then realized that he seemed to be at the seaside.
Where am I?
Xiao Feng forced himself to calm down and carefully sensed his surroundings.
He tried to stand up, his feet sinking into the soft sand, the sensation of the sand between his toes exceptionally clear.
Just as Xiao Feng was filled with doubt and unease, a clear, childlike voice suddenly rang out beside him: "Big brother, can't you see?"
Xiao Feng was startled by the sudden sound, but quickly calmed down.
He turned towards the direction from which the sound came. Although he couldn't see it, he could sense a small figure standing in front of him.
"Indeed," Xiao Feng replied calmly, then asked gently, "Child, where is this place?"
The clear voice rang out again: "This place is called Dragon Island, and nobody usually comes here."
Xiao Feng's heart skipped a beat: Divine Dragon Island?
He had never heard of this name before.
Just as he was about to ask more questions, the aroma of grilled fish wafted over.
"Big brother, you must be hungry. Eat some fish." The child said kindly.
Xiao Feng heard the sound of fabric rubbing together, as if the child was squatting down and handing something to him.
Xiao Feng reached out and touched something warm.
He carefully took it; what he held was a perfectly grilled fish, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, emitting an enticing aroma.
"Thank you sincerely," Xiao Feng said, then took a bite of the grilled fish.
The delicious flavor spread in his mouth, and he couldn't help but smile.
"Little friend, you're such a good boy," Xiao Feng said while eating his grilled fish. "Can you tell me how you found me?"
The child giggled, his voice full of innocent joy: "I was playing on the beach when I saw you lying there, so I came over to check on you. Big brother, where did you come from?"
Xiao Feng was slightly taken aback. He suddenly realized that he didn't know how to answer the question either.
He only remembers jumping off the cliff and then losing consciousness.
Now, upon waking, he finds himself in a place called Shenlong Island.
"I..." Xiao Feng hesitated for a moment, then decided to tell the truth: "I don't know how I got here."
"Wow, how amazing!" the child exclaimed. "Could it be that the Sea God sent you here?"
Xiao Feng couldn't help but smile; this child's imagination was truly rich.
Just as he was about to ask for more information about the island, a cheerful male voice came from afar: "Xiao Bao, where are you?"
"Ah, it's my father calling me," the child said. "Big brother, let me take you to see my parents, they will definitely help you!"
Before Xiao Feng could answer, he felt a small hand pull him.
Although his blindness made him somewhat uneasy, the child's kindness warmed his heart.
He nodded and followed the child.
Xiao Feng savored the delicious grilled fish while feeling the gentle caress of the sea breeze.
This unexpected warmth eased his tense nerves slightly.
Just then, that innocent and carefree voice rang out again:
"Big brother, have you eaten? Let me take you to meet my parents!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Xiao Feng felt a warm little hand gently pull him.
The child's hands were soft and delicate.
Xiao Feng felt a warmth in his heart and nodded: "Okay, thank you for your trouble."
"No trouble at all, come with me!" the child said cheerfully, taking Xiao Feng's hand and walking forward.
The child chattered incessantly the whole way.
"Big brother, be careful, there's a rock ahead."
The child kindly reminded me, "Hey, you know what? I caught a huge crab here the day before yesterday!"
Xiao Feng listened carefully while silently memorizing the route.
Although he couldn't see it, he could feel the soft sand beneath his feet gradually turning into solid ground.
The sound of the waves gradually faded away, replaced by the rustling of leaves.
"Wow, big brother, can you smell it? It smells like wildflowers!"
The child said excitedly, "My mom loves this flower the most. She says it can ward off evil spirits and bring good fortune!"
Xiao Feng took a deep breath and indeed smelled a faint floral fragrance.
He couldn't help but smile; the child's enthusiasm and innocence gave him a sense of peace.
"Little friend, you are such a good child," Xiao Feng said sincerely. "Thank you for taking such good care of me."
"Hehe, big brother, you're too kind!" the child replied with a grin. "My parents always say that we should lend a helping hand to those in need."
Just then, a hearty laugh came from ahead: "Xiao Bao, you brought guests back?"
"Daddy!" the child exclaimed joyfully, "I met this big brother on the beach. He couldn't see, so I brought him home!"
Xiao Feng felt a strong, large hand grasp his hand; the palm was rough yet warm.
"Brother, please come in! Don't be shy." The man's voice was loud and hearty: "Although our Shenlong Island is remote, we cannot neglect our guests."
Xiao Feng bowed slightly, clasped his hands in greeting, and said, "Thank you for your hospitality. I apologize for disturbing you."
"Oh, don't be so polite," the man said with a smile. "Come in, come in and rest your feet."
Xiao Feng followed the man's guidance and took careful steps.
He could feel the soil beneath his feet transform into a wooden floor, and a faint scent of wood and food wafted through the air.
"Watch out for the steps," the man kindly reminded him, helping Xiao Feng step over the threshold.
"Mommy, I've brought guests back!" the child's voice rang out from inside the house.
"Oh dear, please have a seat." A gentle female voice called out, followed by the sound of hurried footsteps: "I'll pour you some tea right away."
Xiao Feng was placed on a wooden chair, with a rough but sturdy tabletop within his reach.
A wisp of steam wafted over me, carrying with it the fragrant aroma of tea.
"Brother, have some tea to warm yourself up," the hostess said softly, carefully placing the teacup beside Xiao Feng.
Xiao Feng accepted the gift with both hands and thanked him softly.
