Chapter Eighty-Eight: Terrifying



Ye Mujiu was summoned over.

Wu Ming really wanted to ask who Zhou Mu was, but seeing the old man beside him, he didn't ask and just silently followed behind.

About fifteen minutes later.

The group stood in front of a mountain peak.

In front of the mountain peak is a stairway leading to the sky. Looking up, the stairway seems to have no end, as if the sky is at the end of the stairway.

"So long?"

The others didn't react, but Wang Xu exclaimed in surprise. He then looked at his old arms and legs, pursed his lips, and said, "You all think I'm living too comfortably, so you're giving me something to do."

Wu Ming knew his chance to shine had come.

He quickly approached, a fawning smile on his face, tinged with a hint of servility, and said, "Sir, if you find it difficult to walk, would you like me to carry you up?"

"This... isn't a good idea."

That's what he said, but Wang Xu's actions were not slow at all. After finishing the pleasantries, he jumped up and lay on top of Wu Ming.

Wang Xu was very thin. His clothes, which looked like those of a child, hung loosely on him, making him appear quite emaciated.

However, when he was with Wu Ming, he felt an immense pressure, as heavy as a mountain, coming towards him.

For a moment, he felt as if he were carrying a mountain on his back, rather than a person.

The veins on his forehead bulged out.

His eyes were bloodshot.

He gritted his teeth.

Each step left a deep footprint on the bluestone slabs.
