Lu Shan didn't take it seriously at first, just glanced at it casually, and then looked away indifferently.
After all, in his view, that divine talisman was extremely important, almost enough to change the status of an entire power.
For example, if an ordinary person obtains a divine talisman, even the Sword God Palace, the uncrowned king of the Desolate Heaven Domain, would have to treat them with utmost respect. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to call it a meteoric rise to power.
etc.
He suddenly paused, stunned.
Their gaze then fell on the divine talisman.
He rubbed his eyes, his voice trembling slightly, "This is..."
"A divine talisman!"
Zhou Mu, however, remained calm and composed.
"Let me see, let me see," Lu Shan said eagerly. He stared at the object that Zhou Mu was casually playing with and swallowed hard.
Zhou Mu handed it to Lu Shan, who took it and looked at Zhou Mu suspiciously. "This isn't fake, is it?"
"Chen Tai'a gave it to me," Zhou Mu said calmly.
"Aren't you afraid I'll run away with the talisman?" Lu Shan felt a surge of excitement as he felt the warm touch of the talisman.
"What's there to be afraid of? Besides, this thing is a treasure in your eyes, but in my opinion, it's not as valuable as my table," Zhou Mu said nonchalantly.
"Tsk tsk tsk, the way you put it, I feel like strangling you."
Lushan Road.
Versailles.
This is Versailles.
What others see as something that can change one's fate or even transcend social class, this guy sees as less useful than a broken table.
If Lu Shan hadn't known some of Zhou Mu's methods, he would have thought the latter was just boasting.
"Seriously speaking, as far as I know, Chen Tai'a's purpose in coming here is Ye Mujiu. I think you wouldn't..."
Lu Shan then looked at Zhou Mu. He noticed that Zhou Mu's previously calm expression had suddenly hardened after hearing these words. He laughed heartily and said, "He knows all your trump cards, and he's also fully aware of what you've done before. You're probably in trouble this time."
Upon hearing this, Zhou Mu nodded solemnly and said, "I know. He actually knows about Fang Yun's existence, so he must not be a simple person."
His mood immediately turned heavy.
Because of Fang Yun's existence, he could do whatever he wanted. To put it bluntly, even if he caused a huge disaster, Fang Yun would bail him out. At worst, his damn system was still there and would appear to save his life in a critical moment.
However, his trump card was completely exposed.
In other words, when Chen Tai'a said these words, he was at least not afraid of Fang Yun.
With that thought, he took a deep breath.
Lu Shan sighed and said, "So after thinking it over, I decided to stay a few more days. With Uncle Hei around, I'm sure he won't dare to act recklessly."
Blackie's identity speaks for itself; he's the legendary Black Emperor. Anyone with connections and influence would be somewhat wary of him. After all, at that level, if you don't have some means of survival, who would believe it?
Thank you.
Zhou Mu looked at Lu Shan and said.
This thank you was said sincerely.
The next morning
Zhou Mu had been having trouble sleeping and hadn't slept all night. When Ye Mujiu slowly woke up, she saw Zhou Mu sitting blankly to the side. She rubbed her sleepy eyes and said in a voice with a unique coquettish tone, "Brother Mu, didn't you sleep all night?"
Zhou Mu had dark circles under his eyes.
He grinned, forcing himself to suppress his exhaustion, and gently patted Ye Mujiu's head. "Are you hungry? What would you like for breakfast? I'll make it for you."
"Is something on your mind?" Ye Mujiu asked.
With her keen sixth sense, she immediately noticed that Zhou Mu was hiding something, especially in the way he looked at her. His gaze was no longer as straightforward as before, and he even avoided eye contact with her.
"No."
Zhou Mu had his back to Ye Mujiu.
Ye Mujiu moved closer and sat down next to Zhou Mu, gazing at his profile.
After just one night, he looked rather haggard; his beard had grown a bit longer, and he appeared much more listless.
"You're lying to me."
Ye Mujiu said, "Brother Mu, do you remember what I said before?"
Zhou Mu lowered his eyes slightly.
Before he could speak, Ye Mujiu said, "I told you before, we shouldn't keep secrets from each other. We are the closest of people. If you don't tell me your worries, and I don't tell you mine, the distance between us will only grow. Do you really want us to drift further and further apart?"
That's a rather serious statement.
Zhou Mu turned his head, his gaze tinged with sadness, "If I told you that someone wanted to take you away, would you be willing?"
"Brother Mu, I..."
“I said before that if anyone tries to take you away in front of me, I will not let him succeed, but…” At this point, the seven-foot-tall man covered his face, acted like a daughter, and burst into tears.
The pressure that had been building up in my heart finally erupted like a volcano at this moment.
Ye Mujiu was taken aback at first, then gently hugged Zhou Mu into her arms and whispered comforting words.
"If there's anything wrong, just say it."
"I……"
Zhou Mu cried his heart out.
Outside, he acts like a little Vajra, impervious to all storms, as if he were made of steel.
He only shows his vulnerability in front of those closest to him.
As the saying goes, a man bleeds but doesn't cry; it's just that he hasn't reached the point of heartbreak yet.
He knew it was shameful for a grown man to cry, especially to wail, but he really couldn't hold back anymore.
