Chapter One: Rebirth! Zhou Mu

Kyushu Continent

Desolate Heaven Realm

Deep in the mountains.

The dilapidated temple no longer bears any trace of its former glory, but the dust-covered plaques on the doors offer a glimpse into its past splendor.

As a once prominent family, the Zhou family was a household of great wealth and honor, but under the sweeping tide of the times, everything has become a thing of the past.

Beneath the palace walls, a man stood silently.

He tilted his head back, stood on tiptoe, and it took him a long time to see the two large characters on it.

Zhongzhou.

"This name sounds familiar, like I've seen it somewhere before?"

Zhou Mu frowned and pondered.

Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind. Then, he gasped, his eyes widened, and he said in shock, "I... I've been reborn."

Fifty years ago, it was here that he established the Zhou Mansion, which attracted heroes from all over the world to his side. After decades of fighting in the north and south, he finally reunited the fragmented Central Plains.

He is historically known as Emperor Guangwu of Zhou.

Everything seemed to be thriving, but a greater crisis was hidden beneath the peaceful surface.

By the time Emperor Guangwu of Zhou realized what was happening, it was already too late.

The empire collapsed in an instant.

...

Upon realizing this, Zhou Mu could no longer contain himself.

His eyes were red with anger.

But aside from that, it seems all I can do is sigh and blame myself for misjudging people.

However, he was eventually reborn and transmigrated, which Zhou Mu found astonishing.

He hesitated for a long time at the entrance of the palace before finally walking slowly inside.

In modern terms, this is where his dream began.

Who would have thought that the famous Emperor Guangwu of Zhou was originally a little beggar?

The steps were covered in dust, and in those few seconds, Zhou Mu felt as if he had traversed decades.

When he stepped into the hall, the desolation inside made him wonder if he had come to the wrong place.

The dilapidated hall was drafty on all sides, with broken walls and ruins everywhere. Only a few beams supported the rickety roof, and the whole hall shook violently when a gust of wind blew by.

Zhou Mu was deeply moved by this scene.

Suddenly, the weeds in the hall trembled.

No movement or disturbance could escape Zhou Mu's eyes.

He tensed up instantly.

Slowly clench your fist.

My spiritual energy is already circulating. If there is an assassin hiding in the grass, I must kill him with one blow.

This is a habit he developed through years of battlefield experience.

If he had been careless in any way, his head would have been used as a chamber pot countless times on the battlefield.

He walked slowly, his eyes narrowed to pinpoints, filled with murderous intent.

The closer they got, the weaker his breathing became, and his footsteps landed silently on the ground.

Half an hour later, he stood in front of the weeds. Without making a single unnecessary movement, he suddenly thrust his palm forward with lightning speed, and a piercing sound of air being cut rang out.

The weeds were swept away by the gust of wind, revealing the people inside.

"Ye Mujiu..."

Zhou Mu suddenly exclaimed in surprise and immediately stopped.

Ye Mujiu opened her big, wet eyes with a look of fear, but when she saw Zhou Mu clearly, she immediately threw herself into his arms.

Like a young animal that has been greatly frightened, it looks pitiful and endearing.

Zhou Mu's heart immediately melted.

The tiny figure huddled together, all furry and shivering. Perhaps feeling the warmth, the little guy raised his head, blinked, and his eyelashes fluttered.

She stretched out her little finger and poked Zhou Mu's cheek. After confirming that it wasn't an illusion, the little girl hugged Zhou Mu and burst into tears.

When she cried, her body trembled, and she looked so pitiful.

While gently patting the little girl's back, Zhou Mu reassured her, "With Brother Mu here, no one dares to bully my Xiao Jiu, no one dares..."

It seemed like she was trying to comfort herself again, and she emphasized the last three words.

Ye Mujiu tilted her head back.

He grinned.

Two shallow dimples appeared.

That radiant smile was like the most beautiful elf in the world.

roar!

A tiger's roar shattered the peace.

Just then, an unexpected event occurred.

A tiger engulfed in flames appeared out of nowhere.

As the flames flickered, the surrounding space was distorted and deformed by the intense heat, taking on a strange arc.

The tiger roared, baring its teeth to reveal a mouthful of sharp teeth, its fiery red eyes fixed on the young boy and girl.

Zhou Mu sensed danger. He looked up abruptly, and his pupils contracted slightly after sensing the energy contained behind him.

"So strong..."

However, he still instinctively stood in front of the little girl.

"Do you trust Brother Mu?" Zhou Mu looked at the Flame Tiger with a solemn expression.

Ye Mujiu tugged at Zhou Mu's clothes with her small hand and said timidly, "I believe you. I have always believed in Brother Mu, and I always have."

Her little hands trembled slightly.

Clearly, she was also afraid, but out of trust in Zhou Mu, she tried her best to hide her fear.

Upon hearing Ye Mujiu's words, Zhou Mu chuckled softly, a hint of tenderness appearing in his eyes, but it was quickly replaced by ruthlessness.

He slowly exhaled.

The burning sensation stimulated his skin, and the flow of spiritual energy within his body was extremely sluggish at this moment.

Clearly, even when facing a beginner-level Flame Tiger, he was struggling.

His expression hardened slightly, his eyes gleaming with excitement. He glanced at the warm spiritual energy in his palm and said, "You've come at the perfect time. I'm just about to test my skills."

After concentrating, he shouted and slammed out his fist, which was as big as a sandbag.
