Chapter 13 Red Bean Cake is so pitiful

Chapter 13 Red Bean Cake is so pitiful

After Baoya finished carrying the carriage, she patted the dirt off her hands as if nothing had happened and walked towards Zhao Zhilan and Li Rongyue.

Zhao Zhilan and Li Rongyue were chatting while standing on tiptoe and looking towards the city gate.

Baoya came over, tugged at the corner of Zhao Zhilan's clothes with her chubby little hand, and said in a cute little voice, "Milk."

"Hey," Zhao Zhilan responded, reaching out and picking up Baoya. "Baoya, what's wrong?"

"Grandma, why don't we leave yet?" Baoya pretended not to know and rolled her big bright eyes.

"Because their carriage got stuck in a pit and couldn't move, blocking the road. Our ox cart couldn't get through either." Zhao Zhilan explained to Baoya very patiently.

"Are you hungry, Baoya, or are you bored? How about letting Chenglu take you over there to play for a while and have some tea?"

They were halfway there, and apart from a small tea stall on the side of the road, there wasn't much to see.

Baoya shook her head and pointed at the carriage wheel with an innocent look on her face: "But grandma, look, the carriage wheel is fine."

Zhao Zhilan looked in the direction of her finger and saw that the carriage wheel was indeed at the edge of the deep pit and had not fallen in at all.

Her face darkened, and she immediately understood the whole process.

The little girl must have gotten impatient waiting, so she lifted the car up by herself.

Zhao Zhilan had a headache. She was so busy talking to her second daughter-in-law that she didn't pay attention to the driver. Baoya didn't seem to be seen, right?

Thinking of this, she reached out and pinched Baoya's chubby little face, and for once she was serious, "Baoya, what did grandma tell you last time? What if someone comes by on the street and sees you? What should you do?"

The little kid, who was less than five years old, easily lifted the carriage that was stuck in the ditch. If someone saw it by chance, they would definitely catch Baoya as a monster.

But Xiao Baoya puffed out her lips and chuckled at Zhao Zhilan: "Grandma, no one saw me. I looked carefully before I lifted the car."

Zhao Zhilan lost her temper at her smile: "Okay, let's go into the city now."

"But next time, don't do this unless it's something extremely urgent."

"I know!"

Baoya was sweet-mouthed and agreed very readily, which made Zhao Zhilan smile immediately.

Zhao Zhilan pulled the little bun on her head, put her on the ground, and went to the tea stall to talk to the coachman.

Having achieved her goal, Baoya happily sucked her fingers and walked back to her own ox cart to find her second brother.

As I passed by the carriage, the curtain was suddenly lifted up again.

The young man who looked rich and noble from the way he was dressed, poked his head out.

"Your name is Baoya?"

Baoya nodded.

The young man asked, "Were you the one who carried the carriage just now?"

Baoya: ...

No way, she is exposed now?

But just now, no one saw her.

Wait, that's not right.

The little brother was originally sitting in the carriage!

Baoya was completely stunned.

Just now, her grandma told her that she must not be seen by anyone.

What should I do? Will the little brother think she is a monster?

"What’s wrong with you?"

The delicate and handsome little brother frowned. Seeing Baoya's eyes wide open and her hands covering her mouth, he guessed that she probably didn't know what she wanted to do and was scared.

I said, "Don't be afraid, I just want to thank you."

"Thank me?" Baoya blinked her bright eyes, looking surprised.

The young man nodded and said, "My name is Rong He, and I'm the young master of Yaoxian Hall in Ping'an Town. You can call me Brother Rong."

Baoya was very well-behaved: "Brother Rong."

"Yes," Rong He responded very seriously, "Anyway, you helped us. Daddy said that a drop of water should be repaid with a spring. But I don't have a spring to repay you now. I only have Hongdouxuan's cakes, which I'll give to you."

Baoya actually still remembered what Yun Chenglu told her, that she should not talk to boys she didn’t know.

But Brother Rong has pastries. She touched her belly and felt like she was hungry.

"Well, okay." Baoya swallowed her saliva and couldn't resist the temptation of delicious food, so she agreed happily.

Anyway, Brother Rong already knew her name and introduced himself.

Then, they are not strangers.

So, the greedy little girl smiled with her clear and beautiful eyes curved, stretched out her little hand, and was pulled into the car by Rong He.

Rong He did not lie to her. The carriage was spacious and comfortable. The seats were covered with embroidered and tasseled cushions, and there was a small table in front for placing things.

Now, on the small table in front of Baoya, there are several plates of exquisite and beautiful pastries and a pot of tea.

Baoya stared with her eyes wide open and swallowed silently.

Rong He saw it and looked at her with a smile: "Eat it, if you like it, these are all for you."

"Really? Give all these to me?" Baoya looked at him in surprise.

Rong He nodded seriously: "Anyway, I have no appetite and can't eat it. If you don't eat it, it would be a waste to leave it there."

"Thank you, Brother Rong."

Baoya thanked him obediently, then reached out and took a piece of cake from the plate closest to her, which was a red bean cake.

When you take a bite, it is soft and sticky, with the unique sweetness of red beans.

So delicious!

Baoya's eyes narrowed as she ate.

She really couldn't understand why Brother Rong said he had no appetite for such delicious pastries.

She ate three pieces in a row, and when she saw that half of the red bean cake on the plate was gone, she stopped even though she still wanted to eat.

She knew how much she could eat and that she loved to eat, so she paid special attention to these things, for fear of being disliked by others.

Rong He saw her stop and shook his head seriously, but the desire in the little girl's eyes could not be deceived.

"You're not going to eat it now? If you like it, I'll bring it to you."

Baoya wanted it very much, but she shook her head. Red bean cake was so delicious, it must be very expensive. She had already eaten three pieces from Brother Rong, so how could she take the rest back?

"It's okay," Rong He smiled when he saw her blushing little face, "I have a lot of this kind of snacks at home. Besides, if you don't take it away, I don't want to eat it, so I can only throw it away."

When Baoya heard that it was going to be thrown away, her eyes widened: "No, that red bean cake will be so pitiful."

Such delicious snacks are going to be thrown away?

Falling on the dusty ground, being trampled on and mixed with the mud, Baoya felt very pitiful just thinking about it.

Baoya said that the red bean cake looked pitiful, which made Ronghe laugh.

"Then please have some mercy on them and take them all away." Rong He said as he put all the cakes on the plate back into the paper bag and handed it to Bao Ya.

Baoya took the two heavy bags of cakes, her eyes filled with joy. "Thank you, Brother Rong! Brother Rong, you are so kind!"

She really thinks Rong He is a good person.

I don’t know why, but it seems that ever since she followed He Chunxiu to the Yun family, everyone around her has been extremely nice to her.
