He glanced at General Liang, whose limbs were already bound beneath his horse, and gave a wicked smile.

He had already said this the moment he captured General Liang alive.
"Bah! You want me to betray my country and defect to the enemy? Dream on!" General Liang spat fiercely in the direction of Lieutenant Qin.
"Go ahead and kill me if you dare! A scholar can be killed but not humiliated!"
"General Liang!" Having been insulted, Captain Qin's face showed anger.
"You said it yourself!" He didn't know what use General Gu had for this man, insisting on keeping him around.
Let him scare this guy first.
He thrust out his spear with a fierce glint in his eyes, aiming straight for General Liang's chest.
General Liang's face suddenly turned deathly pale.
His limbs were bound, and he could not escape. He gritted his teeth, closed his eyes, and prepared to die.
Just then, a crisp clang rang out.
A pebble struck the tip of Captain Qin's spear.
Qin Xiaowei deftly swerved his spear and saw a figure in the distance, which made him relax.
Gu Qian moved with lightning speed, appearing brightly before General Liang.

"General, this kid is unruly. If we hadn't tied him up, he would have run away long ago," Captain Qin chuckled.
General Liang scoffed disdainfully.
"Hypocrisy!"
Gu Qian personally untied the ropes binding General Liang.
General Liang turned his head to the side, his face full of anger.
"I would rather lose my head than surrender!"
"General Liang is truly a man of honor!" Gu Qian smiled slightly.
"The will of Heaven has changed, and it is beyond your power to alter it. Why not submit to the will of Heaven?"
"That sounds nice, but it's clearly you Dongjin who are ambitious and want to unify the world."
Gu Qian simply shook his head slightly, not arguing with General Liang.
His only goal was to persuade them to surrender.
"General Liang, has your Northern Qi emperor ever treated you military generals well? A good bird chooses a good tree to perch on, and a good general serves his lord."
