"This place is all ruins. Let's see if there's a pharmacy in the next city we pass through." Qiu Yan was even more anxious than Gu Xiaoran.
"Yan Yan, don't put too much pressure on yourself." Gu Qian assumed that Yan Yan was just comforting Xiao Ran.
Qiu Yan did more than just offer comfort.
She said:

"Mm." Gu Qian smiled and nodded.
Suddenly, he thought of something, rubbed his body with both hands, and looked anxious.

"Yan Yan..."

The three spoke in unison.
Qiu Yan reached out and placed the jade pendant, which had been broken into two pieces, into Gu Qian's palm.
It broke.

Half a day later, Gu Xiaoran lay asleep inside the carriage.
The road conditions around us have finally improved.

"Gu Qian," Qiu Yan looked into the distance at the vast mountains and forests, then softly called out to Gu Qian.
"I want to go to the mountains and forests to see the sights."

The water they brought was extremely limited.

They themselves then began hunting for lunch.
"Xiaoyan, let's go hunting too." Qin Susu lifted the carriage curtain, full of interest. But when she looked into Gu Qian's eyes, her brows furrowed.
"Okay." After Qiu Yan finished speaking, she told Ling Qi and Ling Ba to take good care of Gu Qian, and then she took the two porcelain bottles with her and went to the mountains with Qin Susu.
She searched for a spring, not because she was thirsty.
She simply wanted to find some natural spring water to make her own eye drops.
Qiu Yan and Qin Susu walked slowly through the mountains, and before they knew it, a tail had appeared behind them.
Looking back, it turned out to be Xue Ning and his group of five, along with Qiu Dayu and Xia Minhan.
When the seven met, their gazes all fell on Qiu Yan's back.
"What are you two doing following us around?" Xue Ning asked Qiu Dayu and Xia Minhan.
"Who's following you? We're following Xiaoyan," Qiu Dayu muttered, and Xia Minhan nodded in agreement, leaving Xue Ning and the other four puzzled.
After saying that, Qiu Dayu and Xia Minhan quickened their pace, but were stopped by Jiang Sheng.
"You know Miss Qiu too?"
"It's more than just knowing them." Qiu Dayu grew anxious as he watched Qiu Yan and Qin Susu walk further and further away.
"Get out of the way!"
"You two, could you be spies sent by Western Qin?" Jiang Sheng asked suspiciously.
Otherwise, why would you insist on getting close to Miss Qiu?
