Chapter 310 Resting at the Teahouse

Qiu Yan decided that once they moved to their new home in Baiyang, they would buy some servants.

The rented courtyard originally seemed quite spacious, but it felt crowded when there were many people.

The following day, Qiu Dafu went to Huaiyuan alone.

After learning from Qiu Dafu that Qiu Yan wanted to open a pharmacy, Jiang Liu volunteered to help Qiu Yan find a shop.

Too small is not acceptable, and too remote is also not acceptable.

The two of them were busy for so long that it was already mid-afternoon.

As she walked, Qiu Yan noticed that a figure was following her.

Seeing Qiu Yan looking behind her, Jiang Liu couldn't help but become suspicious. "Xiao Yan, what are you looking at?"

Qiu Yan: "Someone is following us." She wondered if it was Hu Ying's group. After all, she had previously disrupted their operations.

"Who is it?" Jiang Liu's expression turned tense.

As she finished speaking, Qiu Yan finally saw who was following her and couldn't help but facepalm.

"I was overthinking it."

Today, the two visited a pawnshop and various main streets.

Ever since Qiu Yan transmigrated, she has been working out every day.

But Jiang Liu was different. As a young lady from a wealthy family, she suffered from backaches, sore feet, and pains all day long.

"Xiaoyan, finding a shop can't be rushed."

She had been searching for a long time before she opened a clothing shop.

"I know."

Qiu Yan was not discouraged. Finding a shop was easy in some ways and difficult in others, but she had plenty of patience.

Jiang Liu rubbed her sore back, and looking up, she saw a teahouse in front of her. She suggested, "There's a teahouse up ahead, let's go in and rest for a bit."

Qiu Yan followed Jiang Liu's gaze and, coincidentally, this teahouse was the former Shuangxi Teahouse.

"Alright."

The two entered the teahouse one after the other.

The teahouse has become quiet and elegant compared to its previous bustling atmosphere.

The two of them casually found a spot and ordered a pot of West Lake Longjing tea from the teahouse waiter for a light drink.

Jiang Liu was finally able to catch her breath. It seemed that from now on, she would have to follow Xiao Yan's example and work on her health.

Inside a teahouse, gossip and idle chatter are inevitable, and Baiyang Teahouse is no exception.

"Have you heard? Renaitang is currently recruiting renowned doctors."

"The capable ones have all gone to the prefectural city or the imperial city. It's really hard to find a famous doctor in our small county town."

"Who can argue with that?"

"..."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Liu couldn't help but look at Qiu Yan. "Xiao Yan, if you open a pharmacy, you'll need to hire a doctor. Why don't we go to Huaiyuan and look for a shop? It should be easy to find one there."

Although Qiu Yan is knowledgeable in medicine, Jiang Liu knows that Qiu Yan is very busy.

She has to take care of multiple businesses, so she certainly can't see patients every day.

Qiu Yan had certainly considered opening a pharmacy in Huaiyuan.

Regarding the doctor, Qiu Yan already had someone in mind.

Her original intention was to expand the pharmacy business in a comprehensive way, but of course, she needed to take it one step at a time.

Therefore, the matter of opening a pharmacy should first be decided in Baiyang.

However, she is now able to open a wonton branch in Huaiyuan.

"It would be good to go and take a look at Huaiyuan." At the end of last year, Huaiyuan was restricted, so she didn't have a chance to check out the shops there properly. She thought it wouldn't hurt to go and take a look.

"Cough cough..." A series of soft coughs came from the second floor.

Qiu Yan looked up and saw a man dressed in white sitting weakly in a private room, drinking tea alone.

Qiu Yan, harboring doubts, couldn't help but ask, "It's him?"

The man looked much more haggard than before, his face was pale, and he appeared sickly, weak, and powerless, as if a gust of wind could blow him over.

Jiang Liu followed Qiu Yan's gaze to the second floor. "You know him?"

Qiu Yan replied, "I don't know him. I saw him twice in Huaiyuan last time."

The man turned his head, saw Qiu Yan, and looked surprised.
