"Personality clashes can be worked out." He Lin admitted that he was somewhat displeased with Gu Qian's attitude.
"You really don't think much of me?"
"I have high hopes for you, but your father doesn't," Gu Qian said in a muffled voice. He didn't want He Lin to take the step of forcing the emperor to abdicate unless absolutely necessary.
He Lin listened and smiled lightly, "It's alright, just keep an eye on me. With you and the Li family, what do I have to fear?"

The smile on her face was so faint that it was almost imperceptible unless you looked closely.
"Second Prince, do you think this room is your own home? Coming and going as you please, aren't you afraid of damaging my reputation?"
Li Wenshu stood up, her eyes now showing a calm and composed demeanor.
It was obvious that this wasn't He Lin's first visit.
He Lin ignored Li Wenshu's words and walked towards her step by step.
"Shu'er, let me see what you've embroidered." In his opinion, Shu'er was only good at wielding swords and spears; how could she possibly do such delicate work?
Li Wenshu put her hands behind her back and said, "It's nothing."
"Nothing, what is it then?" He Lin cleverly moved aside, and taking advantage of Li Wenshu's unpreparedness, he smiled and snatched the purse from her hand, then laughed heartily.
