Landlord Zhou looked Xia Minmin up and down again. "Hmm, not bad."
The girl was pretty, and although her family wasn't well-off, they seemed to be living happily together. "Girl, where's your mother?"
"My mother is inside. Please wait a moment."
As Xia Minmin spoke, she looked into the room.
Landlord Zhou replied with a smile, "Alright."
"Please have a seat." Xia Cheng brought over a small stool.
After Zhou, the landlord, took his seat, he finally had time to look around the Xia family's small courtyard.

Qiu Yan and Qiu Dayu exchanged a few words and then went inside.

"Yes, I've met him once. That Zhou Bin is currently studying at Yiyun Academy. My impression of him is that he's honest but not good at talking. I need to learn more about his character and habits."

When her two younger cousins heard that Qiu Yan was leaving, they wanted to go with her.
After the busy farming season, they had some free time and nothing to do, so they told Qiu Yan that they wanted to go to Baiyang to find some work.
Because Qiu Yan planned to open a pharmacy in Huaiyuan, she discussed with the two of them and decided to have them follow her to identify herbs.
As for Xia Minmin, the eldest daughter who was often overlooked, she chose to stay at home to take care of her mother and younger sister.
After seeing Qiu Yan off, Zhou the landlord and Qiu Dayu continued their previous conversation.

Hearing a creak at the gate, Qiu Ling'er and Cao Shi immediately looked towards the courtyard gate.

As Qiu Ling'er spoke, she looked towards the courtyard, where the two brothers, Xia Minhan and Xia Minrui, were curiously observing the space.
Qiu Xu returned to the village every day as usual, so when Qiu Yan returned, she did not see her younger brother.
Gu Xiaoran didn't see them either, only Qiu Ling'er and Cao Shi, chatting and laughing as they ate in the kitchen.
