Bai Lu followed closely behind Qiu Yan.
Qiu Yan landed safely, and out of the corner of her eye, she glanced at the dark corner of the cliff again. This time, she could see half of a sleeve.
These sleeves look somewhat familiar.
Qiu Dafu breathed a sigh of relief, and then turned his gaze to Old Mu.
He nodded and clasped his hands in greeting to Master Mu. "Master Mu."
Old Mu stood up and nodded. "Qiu Dafu, your eldest niece is quite unruly. You should discipline her. Also, your mischievous child probably inherited her temperament."
Qiu Ling'er shook her head silently. In her opinion, Xiao Ran and her sister were completely different.
Gu Xiaoran nodded happily.
Qiu Dafu clasped his hands in a fist salute to Elder Mu again, a relaxed expression on his face.
Having been in Qingyun for a long time, this was the first time my second uncle had caught me climbing the cliff.
It goes without saying that it will attract a lot of attention.
Sure enough, just as he thought this, he saw his second uncle looking at him with a serious expression.
Upon seeing Qiu Yan clearly, Qiu Dafu's expression changed instantly.
Although Qiu Yan had undergone a complete transformation in Qiu Dafu's memory, what she did today was an extreme action.
"Are you injured?"
"It's just a minor injury, nothing serious." Qiu Yan silently stepped back and nodded to Jiang Liu in greeting.
Jiang Liu also noticed the scar on Qiu Yan's face. Although it was mostly covered by ointment, it was still noticeable.
She clenched her small fist and asked in a low voice.
"Xiaoyan, how did you get hurt?"
"I unfortunately encountered robbers..." Qiu Yan explained simply, as it was unavoidable.
During the conversation, Qiu Dafu felt a little scared, but thankfully, Xiao Yan was safe and sound.
"Xiaoyan, the cliff is dangerous. Don't do that again, or your second uncle will worry."
Bai Lu stood quietly in the distance, while Qin Susu's eyes darted back and forth between Qiu Yan and her nephew.
"Second Uncle, you're right, it was dangerous. I almost lost my life just now. Even if you wanted saltpeter, you could find it anywhere..."
"Qin Susu." Qiu Yan glanced at Qin Susu out of the corner of her eye, forcing her to shut up.
Then, she nodded to Qiu Dafu and said, "Second Uncle, I will be careful."
"Xiaoyan, being careful isn't enough." Jiang Liu shook her head. "My legs are still a little weak. From now on, don't do anything so dangerous again."
"Um, when did you arrive?" Qiu Yan changed the subject.
Jiang Liu rubbed her chest, still shaken. "We just arrived. Xiao Yan, what were you all doing? Were you training?"
Jiang Liu knew Qiu Yan well; she knew that Qiu Yan practiced every morning and that Qiu Yan taught Ling'er boxing techniques whenever she had free time.
However, this training method was too dangerous for her.
"I'll pick some herbs along the way during training," Qiu Yan said, taking a longevity herb out of her pocket.
Jiang Liu took the herb and carefully examined it. No matter how she looked at it, it was just an ordinary weed.
"Mother, I want to go with you to gather herbs too." Gu Xiaoran looked up, her little eyes full of longing.
He didn't want to study with Master Mu.
Originally, he thought his master was strict, but now compared to Mr. Mu, his master seemed much gentler.
With a dark expression, Old Master Mu sat down to one side and continued to teach Qiu Ling'er poetry and literature.
Gu Xiaoran's rebellious remark drew the attention of both Jiang Liu and Qiu Dafu.
Qiu Yan pulled the two away from the crowd, and inevitably had to explain again.
At that moment, a sound of someone falling from a dark corner of the cliff came from behind, followed by the rustling of footsteps.
