Qiu Yan took a step back, keeping her distance from He Lin.
She knew it was about this.
Seeing that Qiu Yan remained silent and only stared at him quietly, He Lin continued:

Qiu Dafu's face darkened; he feared his niece would get into trouble.
Qiu Yan remained noncommittal. She had already sent some muskets to the battlefield, and even if He Lin hadn't discovered them last time, he would find out sooner or later.
"What brings you here again?" Presumably, He Lin, like Qin Susu, had just come from the military camp.
Bai Lu and Qin Susu listened quietly, neither of them saying a word.
Bai Lu had heard gunshots when she was in Lingnan Village last time, but she hadn't seen them. Qin Susu, on the other hand, looked completely bewildered.
"What is a firearm? Why is it called a firearm? I've never heard of it before." He Lin asked, puzzled. Zhan Yue looked on with curiosity, even more confused.
Qiu Yan shook her head, thinking that He Lin already knew what he had just said.
"You don't know, and I don't know either."
"Shu'er, could you give me one of these muskets?"
Qiu Yan was internally frantic; she was too lazy to explain anymore. "My name is Qiu Yan, Qiu Yan!"
Qin Susu's jaw dropped slightly, utterly shocked. What had His Majesty just called Qiu Yan?
She must be hallucinating because she's so far away.
"You saw Gu Qian off, but you won't see me off." He Lin felt a little disappointed.
Gu Xiaoran kept a straight face. He was really unhappy that an outsider was talking to his mother like that.
"Go away, I don't want to see you." He knew that his mother only had one musket, and she couldn't give it to that weirdo.
