Chapter 1036 Blood Transfusion Part 3
As soon as Bai Shan and Man Bao heard the cough, they knew that the person lying there was indeed the son of Duke Pi.
The two looked at each other and said nothing more.
When they arrived at Changqing Lane, Manbao jumped off the carriage and said to Eunuch Wu, "Please wait, I'll go in and get something."
Bai Shan followed with a backpack.
Eunuch Wu was afraid that they would not come out after entering, so he hurried to catch up. When he saw the two of them turned around to look at him, he smiled ingratiatingly and said, "I've been running around for half a day and I'm a little thirsty. Let me go in and ask for a glass of water."
Bai Shan then handed the backpack to Manbao, invited Eunuch Wu in, and personally took him to have tea.
Mr. Zhuang rushed out after hearing the noise. Seeing his two disciples covered in blood, he was shocked for a moment and then looked at Eunuch Wu and went up to greet him.
Manbao first returned the greeting to the master and went to the backyard. Mr. Zhuang ignored her. He glanced at Bai Shan and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw him nod slightly. He invited Eunuch Wu to the front hall for tea.
Bai Shan handed Eunuch Wu to Mr. Zhuang and trotted off to catch up with Manbao.
Bai Erlang had been concentrating on his homework in the study room when he heard the noise. He kept writing without paying much attention while looking out the window.
Seeing Manbao and Baishan enter the yard and Mr. did not follow, he immediately dropped his pen and ran out. When he saw the blood on Manbao's clothes, he screamed and pointed at her, stuttering "you you you".
Manbao pushed the door open and went straight into his room, taking the time to reply, "It's not my blood."
Bai Erlang felt relieved, retracted his hand and jumped to Bai Shan's side, asking curiously, "How many people were injured? Why is there so much blood?"
Bai Shan stretched out a finger, then thought something was wrong and stretched out another one.
"Both of them have so much blood, can they still survive?"
"We were the only ones who were splashed with blood. There was much more blood than you can see now. The bleeding has stopped now, but it's still hard to survive."
As soon as Manbao entered the room, she quickly closed the doors and windows, and then took out a box from the system space, which contained the serum she had sealed in a container.
Manbao put the box into his backpack and carried it out.
The things were taken, but the two did not go forward. Instead, they stood in the courtyard to discuss, "It's the prince. What do you say, we should file a complaint with him?"
Bai Shan shook his head and said, "The Crown Prince is a bit impulsive, and his position is unstable. So don't count on him to make the decision for us. But if we can improve our relationship, maybe we can meet the Emperor through him."
Bai Erlang said, "Doesn't the emperor know you? If he wants to see you, he can just summon you."
Bai Shan glanced at him and said, "Do you know why the emperor doesn't want to see us?"
Bai Erlang shook his head.
"Because he had no legitimate reason, he didn't want anyone to know that he knew about the King of Yizhou in advance. That would make it difficult for him to explain to the Queen Mother and silence the people who were talking about it."
Bai Erlang said angrily, "I don't understand. Can you explain it more clearly? He knew about the King of Yizhou a long time ago, so why didn't he explain it to the Queen Mother? What does this have to do with the rumors?"
Bai Shan paused and said, "The matter of the Prince of Yizhou hasn't been made public. In the Queen Mother's view, this is a family matter that can be resolved on our own. Whether the Emperor suppresses him or prevents the Prince of Yizhou from entering the capital again, we can all negotiate it out. If the Queen Mother knew that the Emperor knew about this matter long ago but still wanted us to file a complaint and make it a big deal, she would definitely be very unhappy, and then it would be the Emperor who would be in trouble."
Man Bao said, "But if we let them handle the family affairs, then Uncle Bai, my parents, and all the officials in Shu County would have died in vain. No one would know why they died."
Bai Shan nodded, "That's right. Then the efforts that my father and so many others made for the people of the world twelve years ago will truly be buried in the dust, and no one will know about it anymore."
"Another reason is that Your Majesty's accession to the throne was illegitimate," Bai Shan lowered his voice. "Now, many people in the world privately say that the late Crown Prince, like the late Third Prince, was killed by the Emperor. If he summons us directly to expose the King of Yizhou, some will also suspect that he can't tolerate the King of Yizhou framing him. It's not easy to silence the gossips of the world, and I don't want to see that happen."
"So you want to file a complaint with the emperor?"
"No, saving my life is as important as revenge. If there's an opportunity to confront His Majesty directly without going to the court, it would be best to file a complaint in person." Bai Shan said, "The Crown Prince is an opportunity."
Bai Erlang finally understood and asked, "Is the prince easy to get along with? What does he like? Find out and I will help you cater to his preferences."
Manbao said, "Forget it. He has a bad temper and likes to chop people. I don't think we can accommodate him in this regard."
Bai Jilang: "...Xi, like to chop people?"
Bai Shan nodded heavily.
Bai Erlang swallowed and asked, "But, but isn't he the crown prince? How, how could he be so cruel?"
Bai Shan sighed and said, "Now I understand why my classmates at the Imperial College don't like the Crown Prince. No wonder they like to talk about the Third Prince. If the Crown Prince is unkind, life will be difficult for us ordinary people in the future."
The three of them were silent for a moment, and Bai Shan said, "Let's go. We can't delay too long."
Manbao nodded.
Daji brought over a paper bag and Baishan took it. Manbao vaguely smelled the fragrance and stared at the paper bag in his hand.
Bai Shan said, "I asked Daji to get it from the kitchen so we can eat it in the car later."
Manbao nodded repeatedly. They got up late and only had a bowl of meat porridge. They had planned to have it together with breakfast and lunch, but in the end they didn't get to eat it.
Bai Erlang had originally wanted to join in the fun, but when he heard them say that the prince liked to chop people, he felt both excited and afraid. In the end, fear got the better of him, and he just sent the people to the front yard and waved, saying, "Take care."
Eunuch Wu, who was being escorted out by Mr. Zhuang, looked up at Bai Erlang when he heard this.
Bai Erlang was unaware of anything and waved goodbye to Bai Shanmanbao with a heavy face.
Bai Shan stood in the car and bowed to the master. Mr. Zhuang waved and said, "Be good and obedient when you go, and don't cause trouble for His Highness."
Bai Shan agreed, and Man Bao also stuck his head out of the car and responded.
Eunuch Wu then smiled and said, "Don't worry, Mr. Zhuang. Our family will take good care of Young Master Bai and Young Lady Zhou."
After a while, he also found out about Bai Shan and Zhou Man's family background, and became more polite to them.
He glanced at Bai Erlang, climbed onto the carriage, smiled back at him, and said sharply, "Don't worry, sir. We are only going to treat the disease."
Anyway, if the patient cannot be cured, it will be the imperial physician's fault. It looks like these two will be fine.
Bai Erlang nodded blankly. After the carriage left, he turned back to look at Mr. Zhuang in confusion, "Sir, who is he? Why is he talking so strangely?"
Mr. Zhuang glanced at him and said, "Didn't you say you had to finish both essays before dinner? Have you finished the first one?"
Bai Erlang screamed and then remembered what happened.
The next update will be around 8pm
