Chapter 155 Come Back

Chapter 155 Come Back

Old Zhou stared. He thought that only the young master of the Bai family and a few others who usually got along well with his daughter were invited, but it turned out that the whole class was invited?

"And sir, sir also said he would come..."

Old Zhou had lost his temper. He reached out and picked up his daughter and walked into the house. "Let your mother talk to you. Dad is a little dizzy."

He always likes to keep a low profile when doing things, and won't publicize anything before it's done. How come this kid is making it known to the whole world before he even starts doing it?

As expected, he has the same personality as me, there is never a quiet moment!

Old Zhou left his little girl to his wife and ran away. Without taking a rest, he immediately went to find the villagers to reserve a tree.

There was no way. If he had only invited his classmates, he could have hurried up, but this child even invited Mr. Zhuang, so he couldn't be too slow.

On the nineteenth day after Zhou Silang left home, the river dam was finally repaired. Zhou Erlang and Zhou Sanlang sold their last meal and took Zhou Silang home with them.

When Manbao ran home from school and saw Zhou Silang, he was stunned.

Zhou Silang had just arrived home and had just thrown his luggage, which was full of dirty clothes, to his sister-in-law. When he turned around and saw Manbao, his eyes lit up, and he opened his arms and shouted, "Little sister, I'm back!"

Manbao rushed over and touched his unshaven face distressedly, "Fourth brother, how did you become so old?"

Zhou Silang lowered his arms, turned around and left.

Manbao didn't even put down his bookcase. He circled around him and said, "You've lost so much weight and your complexion doesn't look good. Don't you have meat to eat every day?"

Zhou Silang pushed open the door, didn't even shower, didn't even change clothes, and leaned directly on the bed and said, "Eat meat, but it's also a lot of work."

Zhou Silang was a little sleepy. As soon as he got home, he wanted to eat and sleep, but Manbao sniffed him and fanned his nose in disgust, "You stink, Fourth Brother. If you climb into bed like this, be careful that Fifth Brother and Sixth Brother come back and beat you up."

Zhou Silang said, "I just came back from the river. I'm clean."

No wonder. The weather was getting colder, and there was no hot water. Zhou Silang hadn't taken a bath in ten days. But he felt good about himself. He touched his stomach and asked Manbao, "Do you have any candy? Let me have one first."

Manbao took out some candy from his pocket and gave it to him. Zhou Silang stuffed the candy into his mouth, then lay down, pulled the quilt over him and went to sleep.

Manbao's eyes widened, he turned around and ran out, running to find his mother, "Mom, Fourth Brother is hiding under the quilt in a dirty state."

Upon hearing this, Qian immediately stood up, picked up a stick from the corner of the door and walked over.

Manbao followed excitedly.

When Qian pushed the door open, she saw a bulge on the bed. She was so angry that she slapped the quilt lightly and said, "Get up quickly! You're so sloppy. I wonder if you brought lice with you."

Zhou Silang was most afraid of his mother. He jumped up from the bed as soon as the stick came down. Qian Shi chased him out of the room with the stick and said, "Shave your beard. I'll ask your second sister-in-law to boil some hot water for you. Wash your hair later. Don't come into the room until you've washed it thoroughly."

Zhou Silang hated taking a bath the most, especially in such a cold day. He glared at Manbao with a bitter face and went to wash up helplessly.

Manbao was finally happy. He carried the small bookcase into the house and put it away, then ran to watch Zhou Silang shave.

Qian Shi didn't understand what was so interesting about this, but she didn't stop him. She took out all of Zhou Silang's dirty clothes and put them in a wooden basin, intending to wash them in the river before it got dark. So she knocked on the wooden door and shouted inside, "Silang, take off your dirty clothes and give them to me."

Zhou Silang looked around, found a thick sack, took off his clothes and threw them out, then continued shaving while wearing the sack.

Manbao stared blankly, then stood up from the ground after a moment, walked behind Zhou Silang, and stretched out his fingers to lift the sack a little.

Zhou Silang shaved while shaking his body. He glared at her and said vaguely, "It's cold enough. Don't lift it."

Manbao saw deep blue marks on Zhou Silang's shoulders, which were swollen and one of them was a little red.

Manbao asked, "Fourth brother, how did you do this?"

Zhou Silang shaved clean and said, shaking his body, "Lifting a stone. The stone is so big that it takes five people to lift it. I, your fourth brother, lifted it with a loud bang...Okay, I'll tell you about this later. Go out quickly and ask your third brother to bring me some hot water. I'm freezing to death."

Manbao turned around and ran out, finding Zhou Sanlang, "Third brother, fourth brother wants hot water."

Zhou Sanlang stood up and walked towards the kitchen, saying, "He's so lazy that he needs someone to bring him hot water even for a bath."

"Brother, take off your clothes. It's so cold."

Zhou Sanlang quickened his pace, but said, "If he had cleaned up right after he got back, would he have needed to take off his clothes first?"

Considering that he still needed to wash his hair, Zhou Sanlang brought him two buckets of hot water. Seeing Manbao following him and trying to go in, he quickly stopped him and said, "Your fourth brother is taking a shower. Go play with Ertou and the others."

Manbao said, "I don't want to play. I want to watch Fourth Brother take a bath."

Zhou Sanlang's face turned bitter. In the end, He Shi, who was passing by, took Manbao away. She taught her, "You are a girl, and your fourth brother is a boy. How can you watch him take a bath?"

"Why can't I watch? I just watched them take a bath."

He choked and said after a while: "Your fourth brother has grown up and is shy. He is three-headed and four-headed... They are still young, but when they grow up a little bit, you can't watch them take a bath."

It seems that I have to separate the children when bathing them next time.

"Okay." Manbao felt a little regretful and turned back to the house to read. She had grown up now and didn't want to play anymore.

Even though she was still facing the window, she saw Zhou Silang coming out with disheveled hair. She immediately dropped her book and ran over. "Fourth Brother, I have two good news to tell you. Which one do you want to hear first?"

Zhou Silang wiped his hair roughly, but then decided not to wipe it because it was too troublesome. He sat on the stool and said, "The first one."

"Your debt is almost paid."

Zhou Silang's eyes lit up and he asked, "Really? How much more is needed?"

"Manbao held up three fingers.

Zhou Silang laughed heartily and asked happily, "Three hundred coins?"

"Three taels!"

Zhou Silang's smile faded, "Is this what you call paying it off almost?"

"Almost. It will be paid off in a while." Manbao asked him, "Fourth brother, what are you going to do after you pay off the money?"

Zhou Silang felt that this was still far from enough. What about the three taels of silver? He crossed his legs and asked, "What about the second good news?"

"Oh, my family is going to build a new house. I will have my own new house, and you, fourth brother, will have one too."

Zhou Silang finally cheered up and asked, "Really? Did mother say that, or did you think of it yourself?"

"Of course my parents said so. I even gave all my money to my father."

Zhou Silang's eyes widened. "Why are you giving your own money to Dad?"

"There's not enough money to build a house. I'm building a house for Dad, and there's a room for me inside it."

Zhou Silang pondered the meaning for a moment and had a bad feeling.

I'll add an extra chapter for me and all the single book friends. Today is so heartbreaking. Either people are showing off that they are no longer single, or they are showing off that they are married. It's so sad!
