Chapter 2004 Pulled Away
Chang Yu moved her tongue, savoring the sweet taste. She could no longer taste the bitterness she had previously experienced, so she almost forgot about it. She then reached out and said, "Give me another pill."
Manbao gave her the purse.
Chang Yu poured out one and squinted her eyes after putting it in her mouth. She was so bitter that she said dissatisfiedly, "Can't you remove this bitterness and leave only the sweetness and the cool taste?
Manbao also took one and said, "Okay, but I don't want to do it. It's all sweet and I'll want to sleep after eating it."
"You guys are so scary, I don't even want to be friends with you."
The two of them leaned against the carriage and talked. Later, when they were tired of standing, they jumped onto the shaft and sat down. Their legs were shaking. The horse that was pulling the carriage snorted, moved its legs, and could only stand there bored.
Chang Yu asked, "When will they wake up? How about I stay here and watch over them while you go find the bailiffs on the street?"
"That won't work," Manbao said vaguely, holding the pill in his mouth. "What if you run into bad guys again after I'm gone? You're much more important than these bad guys."
"What should we do then? Wait till someone comes?"
Manbao checked the time and said, "Let's wait a little longer. They'll all be awake in a quarter of an hour at most. Then we can drive all three carriages to the street."
"What should we do with them?" Chang Yu pointed at the people lying on the road.
Manbao thought for a moment and said, "Throw it into the car and take it away together?"
Chang Yu said with a look of disgust: "No, they are so dirty, smelly, and disgusting. I don't want to ride with them."
So Manbao turned his head and looked behind the car.
Chang Yu looked over and asked, "What's wrong?"
Manbao took out the handkerchief from her sleeve again. This time she didn't fold it, but unfolded it and tied it behind her head so that she could cover her mouth and nose without using her hands.
She rolled up her sleeves and said, "Don't you want to ride with them?"
Manbao walked forward and untied the man's belt. She took a look and found that it was not very long. Then she took off his outer coat. Because it was too dirty, she threw it aside with a look of disgust.
Changyu watched from the side with a whip in his hand, and also had a look of disgust on his face.
Manbao untied the belts and outer clothes of the six people, and the people in the car woke up one after another. The oldest woke up first. When they saw the people in the car, they were terrified. When they timidly lifted the curtain and saw Changyu and Zhou Man outside, they screamed "Ahhh——" especially when they saw the six people lying on the ground with their skin torn and bloodstains.
Chang Yu was startled by them and lashed out with a whip, hitting the carriage. She said angrily, "Why are you yelling? You scared me. Now that you're awake, come down and help."
The girls huddled together and trembled. No one dared to get off the bus or shout, but a few of the younger and more timid ones started crying.
Manbao stood up and said, "Why are you scaring them? They were kidnapped and are still confused."
So she turned around and looked at the girls who had woken up with a kind face and said, "Don't be afraid. Do you know that you have been abducted?"
The girls half shook their heads and half nodded. Those who nodded knew that they were grabbed by someone with their mouths and noses covered in the blink of an eye. They cried and made a fuss, but the people around them didn't believe them and dragged them away forcefully. So they knew that they were beaten by the Hanako.
There are also some who don't know why they followed people without knowing why. Looking back now, it's still a bit confusing, but subconsciously, I think it was relatives who took them away...
Manbao sighed and said with a worried look on his face, "We have all been raped by the beggars. They want to sell us to the mountains, dig out our eyes, chop off our hands and feet, and stew them for meat."
This is what all adults like to say to scare children. We all grew up listening to it, so our faces turned even paler.
Manbao waved and said, "It doesn't matter, we have defeated them now. Come on, help tie them up, otherwise it will be bad if they wake up."
Because Zhou Man was kind and hated Pai Huazi, the girls, although scared, still climbed out of the car and went forward to help tie the belt and coat.
Then the twelve girls dragged the seven people to the back of three cars, tied their hands, and tied the other ends to the cars.
Chang Yu walked back and forth with a whip in her hand, just like a princess patrolling her territory. Well, she was a princess.
Two people were tied to the back of a carriage. Manbao checked the knot and found it was quite strong, so everyone stood in front of the carriage.
Manbao asked them, "Who among you can drive a carriage?"
The girls shook their heads together.
Most people don't have carriages at home, and a few families have carriages but have only ridden in them.
There was no other way, so Manbao could only point to the oldest little girl and said, "Then I will drive the cart in front, and you sit on the shaft at the back. Don't be afraid, just let the carriage follow the one in front of me.
However, the direction of the three carriages was opposite to the direction they wanted to go. Manbao, the only one who knew how to drive a carriage, had to turn the carriage around herself. However, she was not very skilled in the job, and in the process of turning, the horse's hooves almost stepped on the person lying on the ground. Not to mention the eleven little girls, even Princess Changyu was frightened.
After turning the three carriages around, she assigned people to get on the carriages. She drove the first carriage, the second carriage was driven by a nine-year-old girl, who was the only one who had led a cow before, and the last carriage was driven by Princess Changyu.
Although she had never learned to drive a carriage, she could ride a horse.
But once she was on the road, she realized that driving a carriage was different from riding a horse.
Soon, the girls' screams could be heard from the alley, "It's stepped on, it's stepped on, it's about to be stepped on..."
"Oh my! The car in front is going too slow! It's about to step on someone..."
"The car went sideways..."
Then there were screams of "Ahhhh..." The people being dragged by the carriage felt the burning pain on their backs and the pulling force on their hands. Finally, most of them woke up, and then there was a scream.
But after a while, there was a scream that resounded for half a day, because a horse in the middle carriage really stepped on a person's foot, but quickly raised its foot and moved forward. When Manbao heard the scream, he cracked the whip, and the carriage ran forward a little quickly, and then there were three screams.
Manbao couldn't help but yell at the back, "Slow down..."
Chang Yu heard this and shouted across the air, "Why are you slowing down? My car is almost catching up. Hurry up."
Everyone walked forward noisily, and after walking half the street, they finally came across a house with someone at home. Hearing the horrific noise, some people couldn't help but quietly stick their heads out to see what was happening.
As soon as Manbao saw someone, he shouted, "Hey, uncle, come and help us, we have caught the human traffickers."
For a while, no one dared to go out. Who knew whether it was true or not? What if it was false and they tricked them out of the city and then robbed them?
But there are usually police patrolling the neighborhood. Where are the police tonight?
See you at 9pm
