Chapter 11 Severing Relationship

Liu Ruonan turned around, her eyes full of calmness, as if she didn't have the same worry about her as Zhuang Sheng. She just looked at Zhuang Sheng and smiled.

"Brother Zhuang Sheng, don't worry, I will be fine."

Then she turned and left, until her resolute figure disappeared from everyone's sight.

The farce of marriage finally ended, but the farce of severing the father-son relationship had just begun.

"Alright, stop looking. Now that Ruonan's gone, let's talk about Zhuang Sheng and his son." The village chief's words brought everyone back to their senses, and it suddenly dawned on them that they still had something exciting to watch. Zhuang Sheng was rarely in the village, but his return caused such a stir. Wasn't that a real treat?

"What else is there to discuss? Hasn't everything been made clear? I will sever my father-son relationship with this unfilial son and will have no further contact with him from now on."

When Zhuang Sheng saw that the man he called his father was still so firm even now, his heart had already turned cold, so he didn't feel sad at this moment.

"Village chief, let's just do this!" Zhuang Sheng said, with a hint of sadness in his voice.

"Okay." The village chief was silent for a moment, then turned to Zhuang Qiang and said, "Since you've made this decision, I have nothing more to say. How about this? Words are not enough. You sign a document, and then I'll accompany you to the Public Security Bureau to transfer Zhuang Sheng's household registration. This matter will be settled at this point."

Zhuang Qiang felt relieved when he heard the village chief say this. He still had a son, so he didn't have to worry about not having an heir. Besides, what was the point of keeping a son like Zhuang Sheng? He couldn't provide for his old age, couldn't give him a pension, and would have to wait on him afterwards? Zhuang Qiang was no fool. He wouldn't do such a losing deal. Moreover, he had a tigress by his side. Even if he wanted to keep Zhuang Sheng, it wouldn't work. If he insisted on doing so, the end result would be chaos in his family. He was no fool!

"Okay, tell me! How do I write it?"

"Zhuang Sheng, what do you think?" The village chief turned and looked at Zhuang Sheng and asked.

"I'll read and you write." Zhuang Sheng looked at Zhuang Qiang with a calm look. Perhaps he had never thought in his life that the father and son would end up like this.

Zhuang Qiang ignored Zhuang Sheng, dragged a bench and sat down, took the paper and pen from the village chief, and began to wait for Zhuang Sheng to speak.

"From this day forward, I, Zhuang Qiang, will expel Zhuang Sheng from my household registration. From now on, we no longer have a father-son relationship. From now on, whether it's birth, old age, sickness, or death, Zhuang Sheng will have nothing to do with him. He won't be responsible for supporting me in my old age, attending my funeral, smashing bowls at my funeral, or paying me a penny of my pension. From now on, we are like strangers, with no connection at all."

Zhuang Sheng read every word, and Zhuang Qiang wrote it down, his heart overflowing with joy. He wished he could completely break up with this cripple Zhuang Sheng, so he wouldn't have to bother him again in the future! It was a joke, really. Zhuang Sheng was in such a state, could he still count on him to provide a pension? It would be difficult for him to stand up again in this state.

Zhuang Qiang wrote it word by word and then showed it to the village chief for review. After reading it, the village chief nodded with satisfaction and asked Zhuang Qiang to sign it.

"Just signing is not enough, you have to put your fingerprint on it." To be on the safe side, the village chief had to do the most thorough thing.

"Fellow villagers, who has ink?" the village chief turned and asked the crowd.

Who would keep ink pads around for no reason? Everyone shook their heads. The village chief turned to the teenagers playing nearby and said, "Huzi, go get the ink pads from the table in my office at the village committee."

"What is ink?" Hu Zi asked with his big eyes and an innocent look.

"Ink pad is a small box with red mud inside, the kind used for making fingerprints." The village chief explained helplessly.

"Okay." Hu Zi received the order and ran away in a hurry. The child was very quick and got the ink in just a short while.
