Chapter 241 Chasing Girls

She sat on a chair in the courtyard, humming a tune as she watched her beloved daughter wash clothes, looking just like a landlady.

"Mother, bring in a basin of water—"

In just fifteen minutes, the house was asked to serve water.

"Is the water boiled? Bring it in, and remember to add some cold water so my son and daughter-in-law don't get burned." Madam Song stood up, gave the instructions to Jiao'er, and then went to He Tian's room.

As soon as I entered, I could smell a hint of lust.

She coughed lightly twice, sounding unwell.

Seeing Bai Ruixue blush, she quickly put on a smile.

"Xiaoxue, be good. The water will be ready soon. Let Xiaotian wash first, then you can lie down for a while. This will make it easier to get pregnant. Auntie will wait for you outside. After you and Xiaotian have washed up, come out for breakfast."

"I understand, Auntie," Bai Ruixue replied softly.

"Still calling me 'Auntie'? You should call me 'Mother' now, haha. Mother won't bother you any longer, I'll go out first." Madam Song laughed twice and then left.

He Tian kept his eyes closed the entire time.

He was sleeping soundly in the morning when someone squeezed into the room next to him.

Men naturally wake up in the morning.

Who could resist that?

He Tian went along with her and got it done.

Since we'll be consummating our marriage sooner or later anyway, let's just go along with Mother's wishes. If we can make Mother happy, then my darling can become his concubine sooner.

"Young...Young Master, the water is here, please wash up."

Jiao'er came in carrying a basin, her eyes filled with tears.

She looked like she was about to break apart.

He Tian dared not open his eyes.

"Put it on the ground, and you can get out."

"Yes, young master." Jiao'er left with a sob in her voice.

He Tian felt extremely sorry for her, but for now he could only make things difficult for Jiao'er and make it up to her properly after the wedding.

"Don't lie there, help me wash up."

He Tian's voice was cold and clear, showing no trace of the lust he had shown just moments before. Bai Ruixue was momentarily stunned.

"What are you standing there for? You're about to marry into this family, it's time to learn how to serve a man. Go, bring me some water and help me wash myself. Do you expect me to do it myself?"

"Oh, oh, I understand."

He Tian's expression softened when he saw her put on her undergarments and get out of bed.

Fortunately, she's obedient and easy to control.

Mother's judgment was indeed correct.

When the two came out of the house, it was already 15 minutes later.

Breakfast was laid out on the table in the main room: rice porridge and scallion pancakes, with an extra bowl of steamed egg custard on the left.

He Tian knew that his mother had specially made this for him because he had loved steamed egg custard since he was a child.

My usual breakfast is sweet potato porridge with side dishes.

Mother said there's not much money left in the house.

He's unusually generous today; I guess it's for his future wife to see.

He Tian remained silent, sitting on the left and quietly eating his breakfast.

Bai Ruixue felt a tearing pain in her lower body, and her face was somewhat pale.

After all, losing a little blood won't make you feel any better.

"Oh, you're out! Hurry up and have breakfast. Xiaoxue, are you satisfied with breakfast? Do you want me to make you a bowl of steamed egg custard too? I don't know what Jiao'er is doing, she only made one bowl, she deserves a scolding!"

"Auntie, I don't like steamed egg custard, so don't make it. I'll just eat this." Bai Ruixue quickly shook her head and waved her hands.

She really didn't like to eat them. The best things in the house were always given to her first, and eggs were no exception; she was already tired of them.

Seeing how sensible her daughter-in-law was, Song's smile became even more genuine.

On the other side, in Baihua Village.

The Bai family had already gotten up.

After breakfast, the eldest son took his wife and grandson to work in the fields, while Bai Lizheng and his wife stayed at home.

"Xiaoxue still won't open the door? Go check the window and see if she's still asleep. Why won't this girl listen to reason? We won't hurt her, sigh."

Bai Lizheng ultimately felt sorry for his daughter.

After fainting yesterday, he was so uncomfortable that he couldn't fall asleep until midnight, and when he woke up this morning it was already broad daylight.

Upon hearing his words, Bai Zhao brought out a bowl of porridge from the kitchen, along with two eggs, and went to the window of her daughter's room. She removed the wooden board and opened the window.

Peek out.

The house was empty.

"Oh no—"

"Honey, our daughter has run away—"

Bai Zhao was so frightened that she fell to the ground.

My buttocks felt sore and numb, and I couldn't get up no matter what I did.

"What?"

Bai Lizheng was so frightened that his lips were trembling.

He shuffled to his daughter's window and looked out.

There was no sign of her daughter.

"Xiang Song, come out quickly—"

The only one left in the family is the eldest grandson.

Bai called out twice in the yard, but his grandson didn't respond. So Bai ran to his grandson's room and pulled him out of bed.

"Grandpa, what's wrong? Let me sleep a little longer this early in the morning. I got home too late yesterday, and I'm so sleepy."

Although Bai Xiangsong has a good temper, he was still half asleep when he was woken up, and his tone was somewhat impatient.

“Your aunt has run away. Go to the fields and call your parents back.”

"What?"

Bai Xiangsong was terrified by these words. He quickly got out of bed, dressed, and ran out of the house.

There was no sleepiness left.

The three people who were working in the field were called back.

"Dad, what do you mean Xiaoxue ran away?"

As soon as he entered the gate, Bai Ruiji asked anxiously.

"Stop asking questions, quickly climb in through the window, open the door, and see if she took any clothes. The door is locked from the inside."

Bai Lizheng's hands were trembling uncontrollably, and Bai Xiangsong was afraid that his grandfather would collapse at any moment.

He got there first, climbed through the window, and opened his aunt's door.

There was indeed no one inside.

There are no people.

The cabinets were also rummaged through and messed up.
