"Um?"
Just as Lin Jiujiu was slightly stunned, the little boy pulled a fluffy white ball from his arms and stuffed it into her hand.
Who else could that look like but Xiao Bai from the original owner's memories?
The appearance that I couldn't see clearly in my memory before is now clearly reflected in my eyes.
With its short limbs, round body, and fur as white as fresh snow, its small head is buried in its belly, leaving only a fluffy tail. At first glance, it looks like a snowball.
But the warm touch made Lin Jiujiu think that it would be very warm to take it off and make it into a scarf.
The little dumpling she was holding seemed to sense something and immediately spoke up to interrupt.
"Woman, take back those impure thoughts from your mind."
Lin Jiujiu was not surprised that it could speak human language; instead, she picked it up and examined it closely.
"I think my idea is pretty good, so how is it unclean?"
The little boy looked at Xiaobai, then at his mother, his eyes filled with great confusion.
It took him a while to realize what was happening, and then a look of great surprise flashed in his eyes.
"Mommy, Little White can talk!"
Lin Jiujiu rubbed his little head. It seemed that this little thing had kept it a secret for a long time. The little bean didn't even know that he could talk.
Lin Jiujiu picked it up and shook it, but no matter how hard she tried, the little thing just wouldn't show its face.
However, Lin Jiujiu could already tell what kind of breed it was just by looking at its tail.
"A white fox that has become a spirit? That's quite interesting."
She didn't think it was a coincidence that Xiaobai approached them.
Since the little thing doesn't intend to show its face, Lin Jiujiu doesn't plan to force it.
In any case, the original owner and the little bean were fortunate to have been cared for by it all these years, otherwise they would not have survived.
Just as Lin Jiujiu tossed the little thing back into the little bean's arms, a flash of inspiration suddenly appeared in her mind, and a memory that had been forgotten for a long time instantly flooded into her mind.
The little bean just reached out and hugged the little white dog, when he suddenly felt his arms go empty.
Just as Xiaobai was relaxing after returning to Xiaodouding's embrace, Lin Jiujiu grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and lifted him up in her hand.
Lin Jiujiu easily flipped it over, giving it no chance to bury its head in its belly again.
Just as she thought, Xiaobai was a pure white little fox, but it looked more like a chibi version of a fox, with a round body and a round head.
Its mouth, which should have been pointed, wasn't as pointed as it should have been. The fox didn't look as shrewd; instead, it appeared somewhat silly and cute.
However, when Lin Jiujiu saw what it looked like, she didn't find it cute at all; instead, she had an urge to strangle it.
She said, "Why does this little thing always cover its face when it sees me? It's because it's done too many bad things and is afraid to see me."
Lin Jiujiu grinned as she stared at the little thing in her hand. She never expected that after all this time, it would finally be in her hands.
Lin Jiujiu turned her eyes and looked at the little boy with a warm smile.
"Chen'er, go out and play for a while. Mother has something to say to Xiaobai."
Xiao Dou'er was a little confused when he first heard "Chen'er" being called, until he saw Lin Jiujiu nod at him and realized that she was calling him.
"Don't abandon Little White."
When Xiaobai heard Lin Jiujiu tell Xiaodouding to leave, she quickly reached out her short legs to try and pry him away, looking on with a pleading expression, wanting him to stay.
However, the little bean didn't see its struggle at all, and even patted its head before leaving.
"Little White, be a good girl and listen to your mother."
At this moment, Little White felt like it wanted to die. How could it possibly place its hopes on this silly little thing?
Once the little boy's figure disappeared from the house, Xiaobai struggled even more fiercely from Lin Jiujiu's grasp.
But Lin Jiujiu had finally caught it, so she wasn't about to let it leave so easily.
With a flick of her wrist, a golden rope appeared in her hand.
With a gentle wave of her hand, Lin Jiujiu caused the rope to automatically form a loop, firmly binding the little fox there.
"Binding Immortal Rope".
Tantai Yueming, who was peeping from outside, couldn't help but gasp.
He couldn't understand how a country girl from the mortal realm could possess such a high-level magical artifact.
Tantai Yueming subconsciously turned to look at Baili Chenyuan, who glared at her, knowing perfectly well that it couldn't have been him who gave it to her.
Is this guy's head and butt reversed?
Lin Jiujiu glanced outside and knew someone was spying on her, but she didn't want to pursue the matter at the moment.
He raised his hand and threw several array stones towards Tantai Yueming's direction.
The moment the stones fell, Tantai Yueming felt as if she had appeared in a desert.
He was surrounded by endless yellow sand, and he was in quicksand, where he could be buried at any moment.
Even though he knew it was all an illusion and that he was in some kind of formation, the deep-seated fear in his heart still lingered.
However, in several encounters, he clearly did not sense any spiritual energy fluctuations from that girl, so why could she use these spells so easily?
Could it be that her level of understanding is actually far higher than his, which is why he couldn't see anything?
But that doesn't make sense. He asked Baili, and Baili was quite certain that Lin Jiujiu hadn't started cultivating, and her situation was different from Baili Chenyuan's.
Tantai Yueming was quite certain that Lin Jiujiu's bone age was only around twenty years old. Even if she started cultivating from the womb, it was impossible for her to surpass him in just twenty years.
Just as Tantai Yueming was completely puzzled, Baili Chenyuan stood atop his head on his sword.
