Lin Jiujiu didn't care what they thought, and she had no intention of befriending these people in the village.

"Then why did you say you wanted to buy his family's land and leave him homeless?"

"If I hadn't said that, they would have been afraid of the government."

Their methods may differ. Some may not even violate the law.

We can make them homeless and displaced at any time, if we so choose, and that will make them more cautious.
