Chapter 29: Aunt's House Delivers Food

"Okay then." While saying "OK", Jiang Yingxue kept moving her hands. She cast a spell to make each of the seven spiritual flowers bloom.

While Lu Caiyun and the others were amazed by the flowers, they also gave Jiang Yingxue safety education until she really heard what she was thinking.

It was just after 4 p.m. after they finished planting the flowers. Jiang Yingxue caught a few large, plump sea bass and a large bag of shrimp in her space. She also grabbed a few cans of Drunken Bean Paste, Lingjiao Powder, and Linggu Fat Powder from home. Jiang Xianzheng also went to the yard and picked a bag of fresh vegetables. Jiang Yingxue packed all the food in a sack, then started her electric scooter and set off for her aunt's house in the city.

More than twenty minutes later, Jiang Yingxue knocked on Jiang Mingzhen's door.

"Dongdongdong~"

"Aunt, it's me, Yingxue."

Hearing Jiang Yingxue's call at the door, Jiang Mingzhen quickly opened the door and welcomed her into the house. "Yingxue, you're here so soon, come in."

Jiang Mingzhen took the sack from Jiang Yingxue and took it to the kitchen, then cut a fruit plate and returned to the living room to make hot tea.

Jiang Mingzhen truly loves this niece whom she has watched grow up. As soon as they met, she became concerned about her health and recent situation. She called home today, and her mother said that Yingxue was as thin as a kitten when she first came home. Today, she looks much better, but still thin.

"Yingxue, how are you feeling now? You need to eat more, but you can't follow your sister Siqin's example of trying to stay in shape and lose weight, okay?"

Jiang Yingxue said, "Thank you for your concern, Auntie. I'm in good health now and I can go up the mountain and fight tigers without any problems."

Jiang Mingzhen smiled and said, "I'd be happy if I really had such a good aunt. I heard that you run a small business in town. How's your business going? Is it okay?"

"Business is pretty good. The students like it very much." Thinking of the happy faces that rushed to her stall as soon as school was over, Jiang Yingxue showed a faint smile on her face.

Jiang Mingzhen held Jiang Yingxue's hand and said with a distressed look on her face: "It's good that business is good. Is it hard? Are you tired? I see people setting up stalls get up early and go to bed late, which is very tiring." She still hopes that Jiang Yingxue can find a job like her daughter He Siqin, which does not require exposure to wind, sun and rain.

"I'm not tired at all. I get up at seven or eight in the morning and prepare for work for two or three hours. It takes me three hours at most to set up the stall. It's much easier than sitting in the office." Jiang Yingxue is quite satisfied with her stall.

"That's great. I'm happy for you if you're satisfied. If you're too busy, just tell me and I'll help you sell it."

"Okay, thank you, Auntie."

As they chatted, the two talked about He Siqin. He Siqin was 27 years old this year. Jiang Mingzhen was very anxious about her marriage, but He Siqin worked in Y City all year round and only went home for long holidays during the Chinese New Year and other festivals.

Because she was too far away to reach him, she could only hint at it by saying that someone of her age had a grandchild, and that she should get married and have children as soon as possible while she was in good health and could help take care of the child.

He Siqin accepted all these tricks and even took the initiative to propose a blind date, but she listed her requirements for the partner on a full page, asking her family to find someone according to these requirements, otherwise she would be single forever. While Jiang Mingzhen was having a headache, she also carefully examined the contents of the paper and found that they made sense, so she actually found someone according to these requirements.

National Day is in the next two months, and Jiang Mingzhen is determined to arrange a blind date for He Siqin.

The two chatted in the living room for a while. Seeing that it was almost time, Jiang Mingzhen went to the kitchen to cook dinner. She said to Jiang Yingxue, "Yingxue, let's have dinner at your aunt's house tonight. The last time you had dinner at your aunt's house was during the Chinese New Year. It's been more than half a year now."

Jiang Yingxue said, "Aunt, my family has cooked food for me. It would be a waste if I don't go back to eat it." She had planned to go home as soon as the food was delivered, but her aunt kept her chatting until the sun went down.

Jiang Mingzhen smiled and said, "Don't worry, we didn't cook for you tonight. When my dad called me and told me you were coming to deliver the food, I told them about you and asked them not to cook for you. You'll stay for dinner tonight. It's a deal."

Since the aunt said so, it would be inappropriate for Jiang Yingxue to refuse again. "Okay, I'll trouble you tonight. Aunt, I'll help you."

Jiang Mingzhen took out the vegetables from the sack and sorted them out. She kept the vegetables to be eaten tonight and put the rest in the refrigerator to keep them fresh.

She took out a bag of fish and shrimp and said, "Yingxue, when you go back, tell your grandparents that you don't need to send the fish and shrimp over specially. You can buy fish and shrimp here. You can keep them at home and eat them. It would be troublesome to send them over."

Jiang Yingxue knew her aunt had misunderstood, and quickly said, "Aunt, the fish and shrimp are all raised in our pond, not bought. They taste great."

Jiang Mingzhen was surprised and asked, "You raise fish and shrimps at home?" She really didn't know they were from her family. She thought they were bought and didn't want to spend money on her family.

"I raised it. I sell rice balls."

Hearing this, Jiang Mingzhen smiled and said, "Yingxue raised it. Then Auntie must try it tonight."

The dishes tonight are very rich, including steamed sea bass, blanched shrimp, cordyceps flower chicken soup, stir-fried cabbage and scrambled eggs with tomatoes.

At 6 o'clock in the evening, my uncle He Minsha also came home from get off work.

"Old He, hurry up and wash your hands and eat. We've been waiting for you." Jiang Mingzhen shouted to her husband who had just returned home. She was conquered by the aroma of fish and shrimp while cooking. She also tasted a few chopsticks and thought that Yingxue's breeding skills were really amazing. It would be a waste for her to have such skills sitting in the office.

He Minsha changed into her home slippers and said, "I'm here. What are you going to eat tonight?"
