Chapter 83 Access Card New Home
When Nakano was taking the skipping grade test, Miya Chiri also came to watch.
The assessment was conducted by several teachers from the technical college. They covered practical combat, methods for dealing with cursed spirits, and basic knowledge. In combat, which Miya Chiri was most concerned about, Riko performed exceeding everyone's expectations. Kuroi Misato, standing beside Miya Chiri, said softly, "Young lady has worked very hard. Her achievements today are not only due to her own resilience, but also thanks to you and everyone for your help."
Miya Chiri smiled and looked at Tenriko who was panting heavily. Her sweat was dripping down her chin to the floor, but there was a happy smile on her face.
The examiners met and exchanged a few words. The chief examiner stepped forward, looked at Tennen Riko, who slowly stood up, her eyes still bright and determined, and announced, "Practical assessment, passed. Comprehensive assessment—Tennen Riko, approved for skipping a grade."
"Ah!" Tenriko cried out with a laugh, but immediately tightened her face again, trying to remain serious, but her joy revealed her excitement.
After the examiners left, the students who had been following the exam gathered around. Some expressed concern for Riko's health, while others congratulated her. Gojo Satoru, still the center of attention, said, "Well done, Riko-chan. The special training is really effective."
Tennantori nodded and said to Miya Chiri, "That's right! Thank you, Chiri!"
Gong Zhili smiled and said, "You are welcome to come back anytime. Now let's go get Glass to check on us."
"Okay!" Riko responded loudly and walked out of the field with light steps.
Gojo Satoru looked at Riko's back as she left, then looked at Miya Chiri beside him. In front of the other students, he took out a small, exquisitely packaged box from his pocket and stuffed it into Miya Chiri's hand.
Geto: ...What's going on? The shape of this box. He examined the box. It was too small to hold dessert, and it wasn't supposed to be a ring box. What the hell is this guy Satoru up to?
Nanami Kento: Gojo-senpai is going to confess his feelings? He looked at Gojo Satoru's calm demeanor and Miya Chiri's calm face and concluded that this must be an ordinary box.
Haibara Yu: What went through? Gojo-senpai sent a gift to Chiri to express his gratitude on behalf of Tenten-san. How thoughtful!
Zenyuan Shener: ...boring. He put his hands in his wide trouser pockets and left the examination room.
Miya Chiri looked at the box. The wrapping paper on the outside of the box looked very high-end. There was still no expression on her face. She didn't even look up at Gojo Satoru's handsome face with a smile. She stuffed the box into her backpack naturally, and her movements were smooth without any hesitation or pause.
Then she said, "I'm going back today."
Gojo Satoru followed her: "I'll take you there."
Gong Zhili looked at him: "Teleport?"
Gojo Satoru followed her out and said, "I'll drive you and buy some things on the way back. It's rare for you to go out."
Geto Suguru watched them leave, sighed, and prepared to go talk to Nozomi to relieve his desire to complain.
Haibara Yu turned to Nanami Kento and said, "Gojo-senpai really cares about us."
Nanami Kento: "...If you say so, then so be it." He was also used to Haibara Yu's thinking logic.
On the way back to the village, Gong Zhili played with the small box and asked, "Can I open it now?"
Gojo Satoru looked at the road ahead and said calmly, "It was originally a thank-you gift for you, just open it."
Gong Zhili carefully unwrapped the wrapping paper and said casually, "The souvenirs you always buy are so high-end, but it's true that the more expensive things are, the better they taste."
Gojo Satoru: "Really? I think your cooking is the best."
Gong Zhili also nodded: "That's because the ingredients I use are top-notch, and my cooking skills are getting better and better."
She finally opened the box and found an access card inside.
"This is the access card to my other property in Tokyo. It's the only key I have. Didn't you like the previous house? You never lived there."
Gong Zhili looked up in surprise, holding the access card. "How can I possibly live here? Normally, after you've eliminated the cursed spirits, you'll send me straight back to the village."
Gojo Satoru's hands on the steering wheel froze.
Gong Zhili put away the access card and said, "What's the address of the new house?"
I haven't told her the place yet.
Gojo Satoru: "I'll take you there now."
Gong Zhili: “Ah?”
Gojo Satoru spun the steering wheel. "We still have time today. Let's go have dinner together and then I'll take you to your new house. Then you can get yourself together and go shopping tomorrow."
Gong Zhili: "Oh...that's fine."
She hasn't lived in a mansion in Tokyo yet.
So that night they went to a restaurant together to have dinner. They ate the Chinese food that Gong Zhili liked. Gong Zhili didn't know when he collected the information about Chinese restaurants, but the food was surprisingly authentic.
God knows what she used to eat, General Tso's chicken or something, that indescribable taste...
"It's delicious," Gong Zhili confirmed, "I like this restaurant."
Gojo Satoru curled his lips, but did not explain how he found the right store. He just waved his hand to indicate that he wanted to pay.
The car finally drove into a high-end apartment complex that was quiet in the midst of a bustling city, with strict access control and a tranquil environment.
Gojo Satoru parked the car in the exclusive parking space with ease, and took Gong Zhili to swipe the card to enter the elevator and go directly to the top floor.
"It's so empty," Gong Zhili said frankly, looking around. The place was as clean as a model apartment, with barely any signs of life besides the basic furniture. She walked into the open kitchen area, where the massive kitchen island was gleaming brightly. She casually opened the double-door refrigerator—several rows of various brands of mineral water neatly arranged inside, but otherwise, nothing else.
She looked at Gojo Satoru, who was taking off his coat. "Don't you usually live here?" What was the point of buying this house...
Forget it, don’t think about it anymore, rich young master, huh.
Gojo Satoru tossed his coat carelessly on the expensive-looking sofa, walked over to her, glanced at the refrigerator, and shrugged. "I rarely come here to stay. I just come here to rest and sleep." He pointed in the direction of the master bedroom. "Your room is over there. The toiletries and change of clothes are all new."
Gong Zhili nodded. She didn't bring any luggage with her, so it would be better if Gojo prepared it.
The room was equally spacious, with the same minimalist style as the living room, featuring a large bed, a built-in wardrobe, and the same huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The bathroom had separate wet and dry areas, and the towels and bathrobes were neatly folded, smelling like new.
She simply washed up and put on the same style of home clothes as at home.
Gojo Satoru was standing in front of the huge French window in the living room, his back to her, gazing at the night view outside. His tall figure was clearly outlined by the city lights.
Miya Chiri walked over and stood slightly behind him. Looking down from this height, the prosperity of Tokyo was quietly displayed at her feet, with traffic flowing continuously and lights like stars.
"It's different from the village," Gong Zhili said softly, "It's so bright."
Gojo Satoru turned his head to look at her. He had taken off his sunglasses at some point, and his blue pupils were particularly clear under the reflection of the city.
He suddenly spoke, his voice somewhat clear in the empty room: "Is the night view beautiful?"
Gong Zhili looked out the window and answered honestly, "Well, it's spectacular." It's a kind of spectacular that belongs to the great power of mankind.
Gojo Satoru didn't move his gaze away, still fixed on her calm profile. His tone was a bit like his, somewhere between joking and serious: "I don't think she's as pretty as you."
Upon hearing this, Gong Zhili finally turned her head and met his gaze. Her eyes were calm, neither shy nor angry, but with a hint of inquiry, as if she was evaluating the true intention of his words.
Gojo Satoru looked back calmly, with a faint smile on the corner of his mouth.
After a few seconds, Gong Zhili looked out the window and said, "I'm only fifteen years old."
Isn't it a bit unfair to say such a thing?
Gojo Satoru chuckled softly and said, "Yes, it will be even more beautiful in the future."
Gong Zhili glanced at him sideways and didn't respond.
Gojo Satoru stood up and stretched his neck: "Go to bed early, I'll take you to a good place to shop tomorrow." After he said that, he walked towards the guest bedroom, where he always slept.
Gong Zhili nodded, but she didn't leave the window immediately. She stood there for a while, feeling the activities of the city below her feet and the man who had just left a subtle atmosphere.
Gojo Satoru's eyes... were truly beautiful. She dazed herself for a moment, then returned to the master bedroom and lay down on the soft yet unfamiliar bed.
The room was very soundproofed, completely isolating the hustle and bustle of the city, leaving only a near-vacuum silence. The only sound she could hear was the air conditioner running. She turned over, buried her face in the fluffy pillow, and her breathing gradually became steady.
In the guest bedroom, Gojo Satoru did not go to sleep immediately. He sat at the small bar in the guest bedroom with a mobile phone in his hand. The screen showed a shopping list that was being edited.
He was thinking about adding some daily necessities to the two houses. If Gong Zhili liked this place, he would have to buy more of the things she would need on a daily basis.
Preparing for tomorrow's "big purchase" seemed to excite him more than removing a special-grade cursed spirit. The movement and lights outside the window flowed silently, like a brilliant river of light.
He put away his phone, leaned back against the bar chair, and rested his arms behind his head. His eyes from behind his sunglasses were cast towards the equally huge floor-to-ceiling window of the guest bedroom. He looked at the night scene that did not belong to the village and was too bright and noisy. His mind had already started planning tomorrow's route.
Geto Suguru's message came.
You didn't return to the village with Zhili? Where did you go? The children can't contact Zhili.
Gojo Satoru was stunned for a moment. He thought that maybe Chiri didn’t check her phone - but she seemed to be asleep now, but she didn’t notify her family before going to bed?
[Yes, we will stay in Tokyo for one night and return to the village after shopping tomorrow.]
When Geto Xiayou saw this email, his eyebrows twitched.
[Live in the new house you bought? Wu, you need to calm down.]
Gojo Satoru said, "Tsk!" "This guy Jie..."
[She's underage, what are you thinking? There's a living room and kitchen between us. My new house is huge!]
After saying that, he threw the phone onto the bar with a soft "pop" sound.
