Chapter 88 New Friend Assassination

Chapter 88 New Friend Assassination

There were more than just a few graduates living in the technical college dormitory.

An Utahime, who is about to take up a position at the Kyoto school, and Mingming, who is currently a freelance magician but works closely with the general manager's department, both live here.

The former is because he is about to go to Kyoto school and doesn’t want to go through the hassle of moving, while the latter is purely because the student dormitories are free and safe.

Tokyo Metropolitan High School has a barrier, as well as Glass and other high-ranking figures in the world of sorcery. If there is no other need or a better place, Mingming will not consider moving away.

It was only when Gong Zhili moved in this time that he officially met them.

Because Gojo had made the singer angry too many times in the past, Miya Chiri took advantage of Gojo's mission to call the new friend over to get to know him.

She made some snacks in the dormitory, paired them with special drinks and snacks she brought from home, and tried to get to know the two senior students seriously.

"So you're the head of the off-campus training base..." The singer held a steaming cup of fruit tea, a complicated expression on her face. "I thought you'd date someone like Gojo—ah, sorry, I'm not talking about you. I just have a huge prejudice against Gojo."

Gong Zhili smiled and nodded, without commenting, changing the subject: "Senior Diva, try these salt and pepper crackers. I hope you get used to them."

An Geji picked up the delicate biscuit, put it in her mouth, savored it carefully, and said with a smile, "Did you make all of this yourself? That's amazing."

Even flavors she doesn't usually eat will make her feel delicious at the first bite.

Mingming looked more mature than the singer, and her personality seemed more stable. She listened to her conversation with the singer, carefully tasted her snacks, and asked, "What are the extra benefits of your snacks?"

Miyajiri: "It can slightly speed up the recovery of mana."

An Geji was surprised: "Huh? Really? I thought it was just an illusion because I was too happy."

She was so happy: Gojo Satoru's girlfriend was a normal person, and she heard that Gojo Satoru listened to her very much. Doesn't this mean that she would have a chance to take revenge on Gojo Satoru!

Mingming knew what was bothering the singer, so she continued the previous topic: "Are you selling your snacks?"

Gong Zhili touched his chin. "I can't produce consistently, and I'm not interested in making the same dim sum over and over again. But someone in my family might be interested."

She was talking about Tsu Miki. This child had no talent for spells yet, but she had the highest degree of compatibility with the village. She had the deepest communication with the power of the land, and the food she made had special powers.

"If the child is willing to sell the food, we can continue to discuss this matter." Miya Chiri said that she could not agree to this matter directly against Tsu Miki's wishes.

Mingming has always been very patient in dealing with transactions, and she is really interested in Gong Zhili.

The three of them drank afternoon tea in a harmonious atmosphere and got to know each other. Then at the end of the tea party, there was a knock on the door of Gong Zhili's dormitory.

Gojo Satoru's voice came from outside: "Chiri, I'm back——"

He actually had the key, but he also knew that he couldn't just open his girlfriend's door.

Gong Zhili smiled apologetically at his two new friends and stood up to open the door for him.

After she whispered "Welcome back", she said, "Go back to your room and wait for me for a while."

Gojo Satoru glanced into the room and met the eyes of the two seniors. He raised his eyebrows and said, "Yo."

An Geji's fists stiffened again: "Who greets others like this?"

Mingming: "Yo, Gojo."

Gong Zhili pushed Wu Tiao's arm, and Wu Tiao lowered his head and touched her forehead: "Okay, I'll wait for you."

Gong Zhili returned to the table and said to his two friends, "There's some extra jam in the refrigerator. I've packed it up. You can take some home."

She went to get a bag to pack the souvenirs and saw the two guests off. The singer shook her hand as she left: "Don't be too tolerant of that guy Gojo. He's definitely the type to push his luck!"

She wanted to say something like "arrogant and disrespectful", but she swallowed it back when she saw Gong Zhili's calm expression. They were already dating, and saying such things now would be more like a provocation, and she was worried about making Gong Zhili unhappy.

As for Gojo Satoru's feelings, huh? Who cares about that?

He may deserve a partner, but not someone this good!

An Utahime's heart is full of criticism and prejudice against Gojo.

Gong Zhili smiled and held her hand back: "Okay, I understand."

Mingming handed her his business card and said, "If you have any business dealings, you can contact me at this number."

As for other contact methods, they have exchanged email addresses and chat software accounts, so they can contact each other online at any time. The business card given by Mingming is more like a reminder before the transaction.

After they left, Miyajiri was clearing the table when Gojo Satoru leaned over to her open door and knocked. He then walked in unceremoniously and hung on her like he had no bones. "Why did you spend so much time talking to them? It's a waste of time."

Gong Zhili: "It's very heavy."

Gojo Satoru: "Little liar, I didn't put all my weight on you."

Gong Zhili: "Let me finish cleaning up quickly."

Gojo Satoru finally let her go, helped her pack her things, and was about to go out with her hand in hand: "Come on, I found a delicious restaurant when I was on a mission today, and I thought I must take you there to eat."

The sunset was beautiful at that time. The two of them walked hand in hand under the trees at school. Mingming stood on a high place with a crow on his hand. He smiled and said to the singer, "That Gojo has also developed normal human emotions. Isn't that great?"

Even if they are companions, they still hope that the other party has weaknesses.

The singer looked at the figures of the two juniors. The five white hairs were shining brightly. The two of them were holding hands tightly, and it seemed that they had an unusually good relationship.

"As a sorcerer, possessing strong emotions is always a matter of both praise and criticism," the song girl said calmly. "Power itself is a double-edged sword."

Mingming chuckled: "You actually like Gong Zhili very much, right?"

The singer curled her lips uncomfortably: "But who made her Gojo's girlfriend..."

Mingming let the crow fly away and turned back to the dormitory: "That was just a few days ago. Speaking of which, Diva, have you ever thought about going to the training base to take a look?"

The singer chased after him and said, "I heard that the barrier at the off-campus training base is similar in nature to the barrier at the middle school. Is it the type that suppresses cursed energy?"

Mingming: "Each barrier has different characteristics and adapts to different cursed powers. You can go to the training base to adapt. Nanami and the others go there several times a year."

The singer hesitated: "But the quota is in Gojo's hands..."

Mingming: "No, the quota is in the hands of Gong Zhili. She knows us, so she naturally has the channels to apply."

Diva: "Before..."

Mingming: "If you want to know why it was not open to us before, you can go directly to Gong Zhili and she will tell you."

The song girl sighed. "Never mind—I can guess. Chiri just came of age, right? She recently said she had to move to the technical high school because of some matters. Is that because Gojo announced her identity and their relationship? They didn't tell us before that simply because we happened to be in a very delicate situation."

She and Mingming were not very close to the people of the Gojo faction. Gojo must have screened out a lot of people in order to cover up the news about Gong Zhili. She could fully understand that.

"But can we be considered the 'Gojo faction' now?" The singer was worried. "I don't want to be involved with that Gojo guy!"

Ming Ming: "Diva, do you want to become stronger?"

When the singer heard her ask this, she immediately understood: "So that's how it is... I get it!"

Mingming no longer asked her what she understood. She reminded her of this because she didn't want the singer to be blinded by her opinion of Gojo again.

The singer smiled and pushed her arm: "Thank you, Mingming. You can call me next time you need me for the mission."

Don't let your work be in vain.

On the way to the restaurant, Gong Zhili asked, "Is it okay for me to go out now?"

She had thought there would be many assassinations along the way - the previous ambushes were mainly aimed at Gojo Satoru, and now the murderous intentions were probably all directed at her.

Gojo Satoru put his hands on the steering wheel, looking relaxed: "They wouldn't dare to do that when I'm by your side, but if you go to the bathroom..."

Gong Zhili thought thoughtfully: "Fishing."

Gojo Satoru: "Those who attack now are just small fish and shrimps, they won't cause any trouble, so you can enjoy a nice dinner."

Gong Zhili was amused: "Are you worried that I'll be angry?"

Gojo Satoru kept silent.

Reason told him that Zhili was definitely not the type to get angry over something like this, but emotionally he felt something was amiss and a faint sense of guilt...

Gong Zhili said slowly: "This is just once. Next time, I don't want to be disturbed by others when I am with you."

The corners of Gojo Satoru's mouth curled up unconsciously: "Of course, there won't be a next time."

Gong Zhili: "If you need my cooperation, I can act with you."

She also wanted to try out what level she was at now.

Gojo Satoru's brows furrowed slightly. "You mean you can be the bait to catch bigger fish?"

With him accompanying him today, he was confident that it was just a "small fight", but Zhili's "acting" clearly meant a big fuss.

That means that in order to make the play more realistic, he must stay away from Zhili.

"That's too dangerous," he said carefully. "We haven't reached that stage yet."

Miyajiri rested his chin on his hand, looking at the night view outside the window, and said, "Then we can wait for a suitable opportunity, or call Geta and the others to discuss it together."

This is something I am determined to do.

Although Gojo Satoru had a headache, he actually felt okay because Gong Zhili didn't rush forward.

It turns out that people can always see their own shadows in their own kind.

The restaurant was a well-maintained restaurant with a nice atmosphere. The dishes were novel, the ingredients were fresh, and the atmosphere was very quiet. The two of them finished their meal comfortably. Gong Zhili put down his teacup and said, "I'm going to the bathroom."

Gojo Satoru nodded, his sunglasses blocking his vision, but Gong Zhili could feel his invisible gaze covering the entire space, like a fine and safe net.

The bathroom was at the corner at the end of the corridor, and the lighting was a little dim. Gong Zhili pushed open the heavy wooden door, and there was no one inside. She walked to the mirror and began to wash her hands. The moment she turned on the faucet, the air in the corner behind her suddenly twisted, and a black shadow wrapped in cursed power silently pierced her back with extremely fast speed and precise angle, and the intention was obviously to kill her with one blow.

Gong Zhili didn't look back. She slightly turned sideways and dodged the poisoned cursed weapon with a tiny margin. The dagger "clicked" and deeply nailed into the mirror in front of her. The mirror surface instantly exploded with spider-web-like cracks, but the fragments did not fly around. They were firmly attached to the spot by an invisible force. It was conceivable that if this dagger pierced her body, it would also firmly attach her flesh and blood meridians to the weapon.

The curse master's attack missed, and when he was about to recall his weapon, he found that his wrist was grasped by a slightly cold hand. He didn't even see how Qing Gong Zhili moved, and severe pain and numbness swept through his body. He opened his eyes wide in horror, but could not make any sound, and his body collapsed limply.

Gong Zhili let him collapse on the ground. Soon an assistant supervisor came into the bathroom. She whispered hello to Gong Zhili and then took out a curse tool to tie up the curser. The curse tool disappeared into the curser's body. Another assistant supervisor put up a cleaning sign outside and began to remove the glass and reinstall it with quick movements. Gong Zhili watched for a while and went forward to help, which scared them.

"Leave this to us, Lord Gong," the assistant supervisor whispered. "Lord Gojo is waiting for you outside."

Gong Zhili put a little effort and snapped the new mirror back into the frame. It seemed that if the store didn't redecorate it, it would be difficult for the store owner to discover the crack on the back.

As she washed her hands, she said, "I'll leave the rest to you. He won't be able to mobilize his cursed energy for the next few days, but you still have to be careful."

"Yes, Lord Gong."

The two assistant supervisors each carried the curse master on their shoulders and pretended to be his companions as they left the restaurant.

Gong Zhili straightened her hair in front of the mirror, opened the door and walked out calmly.

Back in the box, Gojo Satoru was leaning back in his chair, tapping the table with his fingertips. When he saw her come in, he immediately sat up straight, and his eyes through his sunglasses quickly swept over her back.

"Solved?" he asked.

"Well," Gong Zhili sat down, "very weak."

Gojo Satoru's shoulders relaxed. He poured another cup of tea for Gong Zhili, watched her finish her drink, and asked, "Shall we go?"

Walking out of the restaurant, the night air was already a little chilly. Gojo Satoru naturally took her hand and they strolled along the brightly lit street. There was a small flower shop on the corner that was still open. The warm yellow light shone through the glass door. Gojo Satoru paused and his eyes fell on the colorful flowers in the shop.

"Wait a moment." He let go of her hand and walked in.

Gong Zhili looked at his back. She stood by the road and watched him pause briefly among the flowers to pick.

After a while, he came out with a bouquet of wrapped flowers in his hand. They were not the kind of complicated gift-wraps, but just a few fresh roses and lisianthus wrapped in simple dark green kraft paper. The green leaves set off the delicate petals, which looked clean and gentle under the night light.

He handed her the flowers.

Gong Zhili took it, lowered her head and smelled it, then she looked up at him. The light from the street lamp cast tiny shadows on his white eyelashes.

"Why did you think of buying flowers?" she asked.

Gojo Satoru put his hands back into his trouser pockets. His expression was unclear behind his sunglasses, but the corners of his mouth curled up slightly. "I saw it, and I thought it would look good on you."

There were no extra reasons, no deliberately romantic declarations, it was as simple as it should be. Gong Zhili held the bouquet of flowers, her fingertips touching the slightly cool petals, and her heart was as soft as the petals.

They continued walking, turning onto a quieter street. Miya Chiri didn't bring up the car, and Gojo Satoru didn't seem to notice. The two of them walked down the street, the tall trees casting heavy shadows in the night, with only the scattered streetlights in the distance providing a faint light. All around was silence, the only sound being the sound of their footsteps. Gojo Satoru suddenly stopped, and Miya Chiri also stopped, glancing sideways at him.

He raised his hand, and with his slender fingers he gently removed his sunglasses, revealing his pale blue eyes, which shone brightly in the darkness like a galaxy. He lowered his head slightly and leaned in close, so close that Gong Zhili could clearly feel his warm breath brushing against her hair, and see her own tiny reflection reflected in his eyes.

Without asking or warning, he leaned over and gently pressed his slightly cool lips against hers. The soft and unfamiliar touch of his lips embraced Gong Zhili with his unique scent, as clean as sunshine and breeze.

The kiss was brief, like a dragonfly skimming the water. Gojo Satoru pulled back slightly, his blue eyes gazing intently at her in the darkness, as if trying to confirm something. Miya Chiri met his gaze, slightly raised her toes, and kissed him back.

The night gently enveloped the silent streets, the streetlights stretching the shadows of the two embracing. The crisp fragrance of flowers permeated the cool air, mingling with the warm breath exchanged between lips and teeth. There were no extra words, only breaths briefly meeting in the air before slowly separating.
