Chapter 346 Do you know him?

Looking at Bilodis and Emerald standing with their arms crossed on either side of him, and the unconscious young man lying in front of the two elves, Old John was somewhat puzzled.

Because of the angle, old John could not clearly see what the young man looked like, but could only judge from his clothes and build that he should be a man.

As he took a few steps closer to Emerald and the others, the young man's face was fully revealed to him, and Old John realized that this was actually an acquaintance!

"Karl!" The name popped into his head and he blurted it out instantly, then muttered to himself, "What's he doing here?"

No one could give him an answer. However, judging from his tone, he clearly knew the red-haired youth, which made Emerald raise an eyebrow and ask, "You know him?"

Although Bilodis didn't ask a question, her curious gaze also fell on old John, waiting for his answer.

There was nothing to hide, Old John nodded, and told them in detail what had happened before he came here.

"I owe my journey to Hope City to him and Lady, and that's how Ella and I ended up here," he said, glancing at the red-haired youth still on the ground, with a touch of emotion. "I never expected to run into him here again!"

Of course, while meeting an old friend in a foreign land evoked feelings of nostalgia, old John wasn't kind enough to plead for Carl.

The secrets at the heart of the barren land were far too great, and he did not want anyone else to know them, lest they bring unnecessary risks to Xu Ling.

After hearing his words, Bilodis finally spoke up, "He said he came to see Fei'er."

Perhaps feeling that this one sentence wasn't enough, they then added their earlier discovery: "His scent is very similar to Thanos'!"

"Speaking of Thanos... what about the Thanos people?"

Upon this reminder, the group exchanged bewildered glances, only to discover that Thanos, who was usually eager to join in the fun, hadn't come this time!

"Where did he go?" Emerald looked around but couldn't see the little brat at all, and then looked into the distance.

In the end, Thanos was still not found.

Old John was also puzzled: "We just saw him dozing under the Tree of Life before we came over!"

He said he was dozing off, but he was really just lying there bored.

— Thanos has absolutely nothing to do!

Here, Old John and Ella were busy taking care of Xu Ling's lands, while the remaining two elves, Bilodis and Emerald, were engaged in a battle of wits. Only he remained—too young, no one played with him, and he had nothing to do but entertain himself.

But even the most entertaining self can get boring eventually, so Thanos eventually found that sleeping was all he could do to pass the time.

However, even though he was lying there with his eyes closed and not making a sound, his ears were actually perked up, listening to the sounds from all sides at all times.

If there is any disturbance in any direction, he will be the first to rush over.

Now... with such a commotion, even Old John and Ella have been attracted, why hasn't Thanos come over?

Old John decided to go back and look for it. However, as soon as he turned around, before he even turned back, he saw a snow-white wolf's head emerge from an inconspicuous corner of the warehouse.

Perhaps sensing his gaze, the wolf's head that had appeared immediately shrank back warily.

Here, you don't even need to think to know who it is!

However, this puzzled Old John even more—what was Thanos doing hiding there?

Actually, it wasn't just Old John who noticed Thanos hiding in the corner; Bilodis and Emerald were even more perceptive, noticing him as soon as he peeked out.

Seeing that he had hidden away again, completely unlike his usual self, Bilodis simply used a branch from her body to tie him up.

The branch attack was silent, and before Thanos could even notice, he was brought before the group by the help of the dead.

"What are you hiding from?" Bilodis asked, looking up at Thanos, who was struggling in mid-air.

Thanos ignored him, struggling and shouting repeatedly, "Let me go! Let me go!"

Bilodis asked again, but the stubborn wolf cub was still only focused on struggling and wouldn't listen at all.

There was no other way, so Bilodis put him down. However, even though Thanos was on the ground, the branches binding him were still attached.

Perhaps it was the solid ground that gave Thanos a sense of security, because he was no longer struggling as much as before, but his wolf eyes were darting around, clearly still looking for an opportunity to break free.

"Thanos, what's wrong with you?" Bilodis asked again, and this time he finally listened.

Thinking no one had seen him scratch the tied branch with his claws, Thanos finally spoke after realizing he hadn't even left a mark.

"I've never met him, but I feel... I should get to know him!"

It was this inexplicable feeling that made him hide at a distance and dare not approach!

It's really weird!

He was certain that this person did not exist in his memory, but the other person's scent silently told him that he knew this person!

This must have been quite perplexing for the still-young Thanos. Faced with this confusion, remembering what Fyl had once told him—that when one's strength is insufficient to make a judgment—staying away is a wise approach.

As a result, he managed to get away, but unexpectedly, he was dragged back by Bilodis!

Thanos glanced at Bilodis with a hint of resentment. He couldn't escape now, and he hoped that this stranger who had appeared out of nowhere was not dangerous.

His answer piqued Bilodis's curiosity. "You know what? He smells a lot like you!"

"Huh?!" Thanos was startled by her words and couldn't help but sniff. He could smell the scent as if he had seen it before, but he didn't think it was similar to his own!

"How could that be?!" Thanos denied without hesitation.

If I were to end up like him, wouldn't that be...?

Impossible! Absolutely impossible!

The silver-white wolf cub shook its head frantically, unable to believe it.

Seeing his slightly frightened expression, Bilodis chuckled mischievously, "I can't be mistaken. If you don't believe me..."

Her gaze fell on the red-haired youth who was still lying dead. "Wake him up and we'll know!"

The next second, a drop of emerald green light flicked from her fingertip and instantly disappeared into the red-haired youth's forehead.
