Chapter 1057 The Returnee's Notes 131
When Xie Ning saw Lan Yan devour the evil spirits, she guessed that Lan Yan had lured her into the situation to help consume some of the ghosts, otherwise Lan Yan wouldn't have been able to deal with them all.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, a glimmer of light appeared ahead. As the circle of light grew larger, Xie Ning could vaguely see Ouyang Lin lying on the ground.
My pace quickened involuntarily.
The moment she stepped out of the light circle, the tangible sensation in her hands suddenly vanished.
Xi'er smiled at Xie Ning, then curiously looked around. It was pitch black, but the screen in the center was bright, though that sliver of white light was slowly fading as they left.
Only the oil lamp beside Xie Ning flickered.
At this moment, Xie Ning was taking Ouyang Lin's pulse and found that she had just fallen asleep from exhaustion. He breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that she was alright.
Then he took out a black umbrella from his bag. "I don't have any other magical artifacts that can contain souls. You can stay here for a while."
When the time was right, she saw him off.
Tie the umbrella with a red rope, then Xie Ning reached out and pressed Ouyang Lin's acupoint to wake her up.
After all, she had made such a commotion here, yet Ouyang Lin, who was usually a light sleeper, showed no signs of waking up at all, which meant she was extremely tired.
"Ning... Xiao Ning?" Ouyang Lin exclaimed in surprise, her body swaying slightly. "Where are those ghosts?"
The movie theater was empty, and not a trace of the chilly atmosphere remained.
Xie Ning's gaze fell on the darkened curtain. "They've all dispersed."
What are you doing here? Are you alright?
Seeing Ouyang Lin's worry, Xie Ning recounted what had just happened. When Ouyang Lin heard Xie Ning say that she was surrounded by a group of ghosts, she couldn't help but rub Xie Ning's head.
"That ghost in green was lying to you. Those ghosts didn't attack me at all; they were just trying to scare me. How could you fall for it?" Although she said this, Ouyang Lin knew that Xie Ning had no power to refuse at the time.
"Luckily, this ghost isn't evil." Otherwise, the two of them would have lost their lives here.
"I don't even know how much time has passed." The two opened the movie theater door, and were immediately blinded by the sunlight outside.
"Hey, is someone inside?"
"Grandpa! There's someone inside!" The little girl waved behind her, and then an elderly man with white hair was helped over.
The little girl stood with her hands on her hips and said, "Don't come here to play anymore, my grandpa has already bought this place!"
"Nannan, you mustn't talk like that, it's impolite!" After scolding the child, the woman apologized to Xie Ning and the other woman.
"fine."
Xie Ning stood behind Ouyang Lin and saw the old man's features. He was now all white-haired, and his gaze swept around as if he were searching for something.
The little girl stuck out her tongue and followed to help the old man. "Grandpa, why did you buy this place? It's so remote, and there aren't many people here."
The old man patted the little girl's hand. "This place isn't remote. It used to be very lively, with lots of people coming to watch the plays..."
But things have changed, and people are no longer the same.
Ouyang Lin turned and left with Xie Ning. The matter here was resolved, and it was none of their business whoever bought the land.
Xie Ning stopped at the corner and opened her black umbrella. Ouyang Lin was puzzled, but she still made way for her, knowing that there was something sinister under the umbrella.
"It's Aro. I didn't expect him to be so old. I wonder how he's been all these years. But now it seems he's happy."
Although it may not be entirely joyful.
Then they heard A-Luo, who was leaning on his cane, say, "Let's build a theater, and then your great-grandfather can teach you to sing opera, okay?"
"No! Grandpa, you can't sing opera at all, you only like listening to it!" The little girl grumbled twice, and the woman frowned as well. "Dad, are you really going to build a theater here? That'll cost a lot..."
Looking at the old man's stubborn expression, she ultimately didn't continue.
Well, since the eldest brother has agreed, the younger ones can't say anything.
"Do you want to see him?" Xie Ning turned her head and looked at Xi'er.
"If it disappears, Aro will cry."
