Chapter 1076 The Returnee's Notes 150
Lu Qi tidied up the bed and the table was covered with her books. Turning her head, she saw that Xie Ning's computer desktop was covered with dense code.
She certainly couldn't understand the code, but she did know how much Xie Ning's computer cost. After all, one of her cousins had been rewarded with such a laptop for passing an exam.
Recalling the rumors circulating online, Lu Qi shook his head; this top scholar didn't seem poor at all.
"Beep beep—"
Lin Qiuyan's alarm clock rang; it was time to go have dinner.
Xie Ning glanced at the time before closing the computer. The heatsink was so hot you could fry an egg on it. Hopefully, this computer would be durable.
"Is anyone here? Could you get me a piece of paper?"
Gao Xiaohan, squatting in the toilet, was on the verge of tears; she had forgotten that there was no toilet paper in the toilet.
After handing in the paper, Xie Ning suggested that they go to the school supermarket later to buy some daily necessities, such as tissue boxes, brooms, and trash cans.
Everyone agreed, especially Gao Xiaohan.
There were only four people in the dormitory, and none of us were familiar with the school, so we always went out together. Our class advisor said there would be a class meeting at 7 p.m., so we all went out to the cafeteria for dinner around 5 p.m.
Lu Qi didn't say much, but remembering his uncle's words about getting along well with his roommates, he pointed to the cafeteria and said, "Let's eat on the third floor here, it's on me."
The food there was considered pretty good for a student cafeteria, though she hadn't eaten there herself; she'd only heard about it from the senior who picked her up.
Although her senior mentioned some good eats in the food court, she still preferred to eat in the main cafeteria.
"Okay, okay!"
Before Xie Ning and Lin Qiuyan could speak, Gao Xiaohan happily agreed. However, she wasn't unreasonable; she simply said that she would treat everyone to milk tea when they went to the food court later.
Xie Ning had no choice but to agree, planning to make up for it in other ways.
The first and second floors of the large canteen are like open-air food stalls, where people bring their own utensils to get their food. The windows on the third floor, however, are occupied by various food shops offering a wide variety of dishes, and the canteen is always packed with people.
Since Lu Qi was treating, everyone ordered from the same restaurant. Coincidentally, the expert canteen was right across from this small restaurant. Gao Xiaohan stared longingly at the opposite side, "The food there must be even better!"
Otherwise, why would it be separate from the student cafeteria?
Xie Ning glanced at it briefly before silently looking away, because there were still things floating outside the glass window.
She ignores anyone who isn't in the same space.
Gao Xiaohan was having a great time eating in the cafeteria on the third floor, but after seeing the variety of food in the food court, she exclaimed that she had eaten too much.
Since it was still early before the class meeting, the four of them strolled around the food court and soon each of them had a lot of food in their hands.
Apart from the milk tea, everything else was bought by Xie Ning and Lin Qiuyan.
When they were halfway through their walk, the class assistant contacted them and told them to meet at the dormitory entrance. Then she led the twelve freshmen to the class meeting location.
They have only one class, and in addition to the counselor, there are two class assistants, one male and one female.
The counselor initially entered the girls' dormitory because it was the first day of school and many parents had come. Normally, the dormitory supervisor would have called them out.
The first class meeting was actually a self-introduction session, followed by the election of class officers. Those who were interested gave speeches, and the class advisor would observe them during the subsequent military training. Finally, the class officers would be selected based on their performance.
However, the class monitor directly appointed Xie Ning.
This reason is undeniable, given that Xie Ning not only had the highest score in the college entrance examination, but also achieved a perfect score in the re-examination.
"This is too monstrous." They consider themselves geniuses, but there are even more amazing people out there.
Xie Ning was not surprised. Her class teacher had told her before that Xie Ning only needed to maintain her grades and did not need to do anything else.
Xie Ning agreed not because it was easier, but because being the class monitor would give her more opportunities to interact with teachers, making it easier to ask them for help if she had any academic questions.
After all, university professors aren't always available.
They might have class here this morning and then go to another school this afternoon.
At first, everyone was not very familiar with each other, so after the class meeting, everyone went to the supermarket with their roommates to shop. Since the class meeting mentioned military training, everyone also bought some extra things needed for military training.
