Chapter 217 Deep Virtual Reality 44

Chapter 217 Deep Virtual Reality 44

"That's not what I meant. Regardless of the reason, it's against the rules for ordinary citizens to carry miniature bombs. I just hope that the subsequent punishment can be offset by my merits."

After all, she had watched her younger sister grow up, and Ellie still felt sorry for her, especially since Ellie had saved so many federal citizens.

Clay waved for the security guards behind him to take Shening away. He was slightly surprised by Ellie's words, but still said, "We don't need your help. As long as the investigation is clear, the most we'll do is fine them a little."

After all, saving lives is a meritorious deed.

After going around in circles, Xie Ning arrived at the National Security Bureau. She silently calculated her vacation time, wondering how long this interrogation would last and whether she would have enough time to go to the welfare home to investigate.

Instead of dealing with the aftermath on the train, Ellie went with Xie Ning to the Security Bureau. All the people on the train were to be investigated, but Xie Ning's investigation was more stringent.

Following the security guard through the long corridor, Xie Ning stopped at the interrogation room. The metal door opened silently, and Xie Ning went in and sat down next to a long white table with a glass of warm water on it.

Seeing that the interrogation chair wasn't the cold, impersonal one she had imagined, Xie Ning breathed a sigh of relief. Although she was confident in her ability to handle the situation, she still didn't want the other party to display a cold and stern attitude from the outset.

Behind the long white table sat two people, a man and a woman. The man was middle-aged with slightly graying hair, and the woman had long, wavy brown hair and wore gold-rimmed glasses. Both of them were wearing matching uniforms, and their gazes toward Xie Ning were not serious, but rather gentle.

Xie Ning roughly guessed what was going on, not because of Ellie, but because of the way she evaded the scanning.

"Is it Xie Ning?" the intellectual woman asked.

"yes."

The woman nodded, looked down and switched the interface on the screen, stopping at the moment Xie Ning told others to stay away from the man, and asked, "How did you notice that the man was acting strangely? Why did you feel that the man was dangerous?"

“His face had unusual protrusions, and his expression was stiff. His pupils trembled slightly unnaturally. I had seen similar ones before, so I felt that something was wrong with him and that he was dangerous.”

Although she had seen the body of a guard, the two were similar, so Xie Ning dared not be careless and naturally chose to run away.

"Have you ever seen an alien creature?" the man asked, then exchanged a glance with the woman and immediately asked Moss to bring over Xie Ning's detailed information.

Xie Ning also saw her information displayed on the semi-transparent screen. She nodded slowly in response to the man's words, and only continued after the two had briefly reviewed the information.

"I have encountered alien creatures. The first time was on the evening of June 27th at the Honey Dessert Shop in Tas Square. I work at Huarui Technology Company as a laboratory researcher at the experimental base. The second time I encountered alien creatures was the day before yesterday, but I'm not at liberty to say. If you have any questions, you can contact my company for inquiries."

"Okay, we understand."

The woman scrolled through the video on the screen until she reached the part where Xie Ning had placed the miniature bombs. "Ms. Xie, where did you get these miniature bombs? And how did they pass the scan? Please tell us the truth."

The initial address conveyed respect, while the subsequent demand for a truthful account carried a threat.

Xie Ning didn't intend to hide anything. "The miniature bombs were homemade. You should know my profession, so making miniature bombs isn't difficult for me."

As for the scanning issue, it's mainly a coating problem; I applied a coating that can circumvent the scanning.

A hint of surprise flashed in the man's eyes, and he asked, "Is this type of coating technology something only you possess? Or has it already been sold or put on the market?"

"Currently, I am the only one using it. It was something I developed by accident and has not been put on the market."

The two breathed a sigh of relief. The woman adjusted her glasses, her expression turning stern. "What was your reason for making miniature bombs and bringing them onto the train?"

"Because I'm scared." Unable to squeeze out any tears, Xie Ning awkwardly turned her head away, her long eyelashes drooping slightly, and softened her tone, "As you know, I've encountered alien creatures before, and I'm terrified of facing them again, so I made some weapons and ammunition for self-defense."

The main problem is that she can't freeze the alien creature into an ice block in front of everyone and on camera, nor can she use her powers to escape. Other weapons are also inconvenient to take out. After all the calculations, the micro bomb is still the most cost-effective option.
