Chapter 140 Shen Yushu in His Youth 1

Chapter 140 Shen Yushu in His Youth 1

The road outside Yunchan Temple was blocked by heavy snow.

The mountain behind it was covered with a thick layer of snow.

Suddenly, a figure appeared in the white light, coming from a great distance.

He walked with a stagger, his footprints in the snow uneven, some deep, some shallow, and every few steps a drop of blood would fall.

In the freezing cold, the wounded boy finally exhausted all his strength and collapsed.

A trail of winding footprints was left behind him.

Footsteps could be heard in the distance.

Pressing his cheek into the cold snow brought a moment of clarity to his mind. No... he couldn't be caught. He still... he still needed revenge!

However, as the footsteps drew closer, the boy discovered that his body was already at its limit, and endless despair washed over him.

They stopped walking.

Suddenly, a weight covered me, as if something had shielded my body from the cold.

It seems to be something called warmth.

The boy blinked with difficulty, only able to see a patch of bright red skirt.

This material is exceptional.

His gaze strained upwards, but before he could see clearly, a warm touch gently caressed his face.

In that instant, it felt as if I was being cherished and pitied with utmost care.

"I can't move you by myself. You stay here and wait for me while I go find someone to move you, okay?"

A very young child's voice.

As soon as he finished speaking, the crimson figure disappeared from sight.

He blinked hard, his eyes strained by the misfortunes of the past few days and the despicable nature he had encountered. He was no longer willing to believe that he could ever meet someone kind again.

It's an illusion, it must be an illusion.

He told himself that.

When he woke up again, a faint sandalwood scent entered his nostrils, soothing the boy's tense emotions.

He cautiously surveyed the room, his gaze lingering on the bald man not far away.

The bald man opened his eyes and smiled kindly at him.

"The benefactor has awakened?"

This is Yunchan Temple, and I am its abbot.

The boy hesitated: "You... saved me?"

Abbot: "No, no, benefactor, please recover first. Once you are feeling better, I will take you to see the person who truly saved you."

The boy frowned in surprise, but finally said, "Okay, thank you."

Now that we're inside Yunchan Temple, we're safe for the time being.

He absolutely, positively will not let any of those people go!

The boy's expression was gloomy, and his eyes were filled with a fierce aura.

The abbot sighed inwardly upon seeing this, but ultimately said nothing.

It's just a cycle of cause and effect.

A few days later, the boy recovered and went to see the abbot again.

Then, the young monk led him into another meditation room.

A very small baby girl was lying inside the room.

Hearing the noise, he slowly opened his eyes.

The boy got closer and then he could see her face clearly.

It was tiny, with a pointed chin, and very thin.

"Thank you for saving me."

The girl looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze, but the boy did not look away and let her look at him.

"Sorry, I can't get up." Her voice was soft and sweet, like that of a newborn kitten.

Just hearing her voice makes my heart melt.

The boy sat down beside her bed, and the room was silent.

He pursed his lips and said, "My name is Shen Yushu. What's yours?"

"Xiao Huan".

Just by hearing that, you can tell it's not a real name.

The boy was silent for a moment, then said, "I will repay your life-saving grace."

The boy left with a single sentence.

A few days later, he learned from the monks at the temple that the little girl was already congenitally weak, and when she saved him, she caught a cold, which caused her to fall seriously ill.

I'm afraid I'll have to go.

The boy went to see the little girl again, placing two fingers on her wrist with a deep frown.
