Chapter 628 Meeting You, Falling in Love with You 46

Yan Shi smiled, leaned closer to her, and asked, "Shy?"

Song Jinhuan was speechless and quickly changed the subject, saying, "I'm hungry."

I'm outta here.

Yan Shi prepared three dishes and a soup. When serving rice to Song Jinhuan, he habitually pressed down the rice with the spoon to fill the bowl as much as possible.

After he finished this series of actions, he stared blankly at the rice overflowing the bowl.

What kind of habit is this?

Yan Shi thought for a moment and then scraped off part of it.

Song Jinhuan ate three bowls before he was full.

"The bowl is a bit small," she explained, rubbing her stomach.

Yan Shi took responsibility: "I'll buy a bigger one in a couple of days."

Song Jinhuan nodded reservedly, "Okay, remember to buy something pretty."

Yan Shi complained, "Aren't you coming with me?"

Song Jinhuan nodded matter-of-factly, "Yeah, what if people find out about our relationship?"

"Actually, I don't..."

Before he could finish speaking, the woman opposite him stretched out a big yawn and said slowly, "I feel sleepy after eating."

Yan Shi had no choice but to change his mind and say, "You should go to sleep first."

Song Jinhuan glanced at the plates on the table, then looked straight at Yan Shi without saying a word.

Yan Shi understood, "It's alright, I can handle these."

Song Jinhuan rubbed her hands together awkwardly, "This is so embarrassing~"

Before Yan Shi could respond, she quickly added, "Then I'll have to trouble you~"

Then he turned and left without looking back.

Yan Shi watched the figure go upstairs. Even though the pajamas were loose on her, the hem of the clothes made her waist look particularly thin.

The rolled-up trouser legs ended just above the ankles.

The exposed section looked exceptionally white against the dark blue pajama bottoms.

A flash of red suddenly crossed my mind.

Yan Shi frowned. Perhaps, if the other party was willing, he could try red.

Song Jinhuan took a nap, and when she woke up, it was already completely dark.

Yan Shi was not in the bedroom.

She crossed her arms and rubbed them together, then pulled a thin blanket over herself before walking outside.

It was already past 11:40.

Song Jinhuan circled around downstairs but couldn't find anyone, so she called out, "Mr. Yan?"

"Mr. Yan?"

He called out several times but didn't respond, and then his acting instincts kicked in.

She faced the empty living room, one hand clutching her chest, the other outstretched into the air, her voice mournful and desperate, "Yan...Shi...where are you?"

"What is it that's covering my eyes?!"

Why, why can't I see you?

She spoke as if she were blind, her arms flailing wildly in the air.

"You'll see me if you turn around." Suddenly, a lazy male voice came from behind.

Song Jinhuan froze, her face turning as red as boiling oil. She didn't dare turn around, her shoulders hunched, and asked in a low voice, with a hint of relief, "When did you appear?"

"When you opened the door," Yan Shi leaned against the doorframe, watching the small figure with a smile in his eyes.

When the door opens?

She only ever opened one door, and that was the bedroom door!

Oh ho!

You know she's looking for him, don't you!

The first call went unanswered!

Suddenly emboldened, she turned abruptly and accused, "You scared me, you know that?!"

"I'm sorry," Yan Shi sighed. "I didn't expect you to need me so much."

Song Jinhuan's face flushed, and she wisely avoided responding. "Why were you at the guest room door?"

Yan Shi glanced around awkwardly, his gaze finally settling on the woman with her hands on her hips.
