Chapter 753 God Will Not Allow Me to Cause Miss to Lose Her Honor 46
Laura chimed in, "Colin is completely loyal to her and obeys her every word."
Terrence actually became curious about Colin.
For a mere attendant to garner such attention from the Antonia family, she must possess considerable skill.
His father intended to arrange a marriage with Antonia's family, and he did not object.
From childhood, they were taught that their marriage was a transaction that would bring benefits to the family.
Since we've enjoyed the benefits brought by our family, we should give something in return.
If Colin does manage to obtain the sword, Agatha will become his ideal marriage partner.
If Marquis John wanted to become the second marquis of the Nabesgen continent, he would not refuse.
...
Colin was drawn and advanced smoothly through three rounds of matches.
Denai struggled in the final round, but still advanced.
He had a premonition that he would be eliminated tomorrow.
"Colin, someone's looking for you."
Colin was writing a letter at the moment and, thinking that the Marquis John had arrived, quickly stuffed it into the envelope.
So focused on getting the Marquis to deliver the letter to Miss Agatha, he ignored Dennett's strange expression.
He strode to the door, his gentle expression turning slightly cold. "Who are you?"
"Hello, I am Terence Carlisle." The man was dressed in an elegant, custom-made suit, and his every move exuded gentlemanly manners.
Carlisle?
Colin's pupils constricted; it was a family that Marquis John intended to marry into!
No matter how turbulent the boy's heart was, his face remained calm.
Terence's gaze swept over the boy in front of him without restraint. "Judging from your reaction, you must have heard of me."
Colin: "What's up?"
Terence smiled and said, "I had afternoon tea with Miss Agatha today."
He paused, then said with emotion, "I'm very satisfied with her."
Colin's eyes darkened; he couldn't accept that the man before him spoke of his Miss Agatha with such flippancy and the same tone used to value an object.
The boy instinctively clenched the letter in his hand, and the rustling sound attracted Terence's attention.
"Is it a letter to Agatha? I can pass it on for you." Terence spoke of Agatha with such affection, as if they had known each other for lifetimes.
Colin: "No need."
“Miss Agatha is very kind. If you were to meet her in women’s clothing, I believe she would find you beautiful as well.”
Terence was indeed dressed in women's clothing.
It's estimated that even now, Agatha Christie doesn't know he was a man.
The two stared at each other, silently vying for dominance.
Terence stared into those deep eyes, and for some reason, the longer he looked, the more uneasy he felt.
He was the first to concede defeat, but refused to back down, saying, "Colin, I hope you can win the sword."
"After Agatha marries into the Carlisle family, her life will be a little easier."
Terence glanced at the boy's hand; the letter looked like it was about to be crushed.
It's clear that Colin isn't as calm as he appears.
Terrence, as if he had gotten his revenge, smiled smugly and turned to leave.
Class and power are indeed fascinating.
He's just a servant; what difference does it make if he has other intentions towards the noble lady?
Terence thought to himself that he would thoroughly enjoy taking Agatha away from Colin, and at the same time, he might even humiliate Agatha in front of Colin.
Colin, on the other hand, worked himself to the bone for him.
Agatha, unable to rid herself of him due to her family's distress, might very well have an affair with Colin.
Just thinking about it filled Terence with a unique excitement.
